Could not speak more highly of this talented, thoughtful, incredible team at Studio Nine…read more Zach Blum was our main photographer and one of the highlights of our wedding. He found creative, beautiful ways to capture us as individuals and as a couple: from recognizing the fleeting moments of a beautiful sunrise and pivoting us outside to get a breathtaking golden sky backdrop in getting-ready photos, to sneaking a unique, fun shot of the bride in Indian bridal attire holding her Starbucks in the morning, to incredible shots of us during our first dance - literally out of a magazine! He was present for every meaningful moment of the wedding, and always created a warm, fun, welcoming atmosphere during a hectic day. Additionally, the team worked tirelessly to ensure that we were happy with the portfolio after the wedding. We had concerns about our décor colors, and they found a way to ease the harshness of the background in post-processing so that we were not outfaced in the final photos. Additionally, we had unique requests on cropping and the final album product, and Zach and Jon both worked with us for months to make sure they got it right! Jon, the production manager, is very approachable and takes time to listen to each client's individual requests - even nitty gritty requests amidst a very hectic wedding season! We are delighted with the team that captured our wedding weekend, and highly recommend.

Anyway, I was planning a graduation party after I graduated with my masters in anesthesia. It was a fake "graduation party" but really an engagement party. I had it at the art museum in riverside and used the graduation party as a front to propose to my now fiancé. I hired godfather films to do the recording at the event. Initial meetings went well with the head of the company (I forgot his name, I think John). I explained what I wanted and had good input from them and thought everything was set. I met with the person actually filming that night and again went over the plan. The night was amazing, had a great time. When it was time to receive the footage, we were given DVDs with the WORST coverage I have ever seen. It was like my little sister was filming with a GoPro. The camera was constantly blocked by people, their elbows, their backs. The zoom was used in the wrong places so we were seeing people's nostrils. I can't express how terrible this was. And it was raw footage that didn't even cover the whole time. We were told were getting a video as well as raw footage. When we confronted the owner about this, he refused to fix it or give us any money back. Aside from the DVD, the footage was horrible. My friend edits videos and he asked me to ask the company for hard copies so he could put a DVD video for us to recap the night. We asked and we were sent VHS mini tape copies. My friend looked at me and said no one uses these anymore, they are extinct. In an effort to receive DVD copies, it became a hassle. Once we did get the DVD copies, we didn't even get all of the footage promised to us. How frustrating. Needless to say, my friend took that piece of garbage we received and was able to edit it into a very special video for us, even with the poor footage and terrible quality. i will NEVER EVER EVER use them again, and in fact I complain to everyone I know about them. The owner is very removed from the practice, as well as very unfair. They provided a service which was not promised and extremely subpar, and refused to help rectify the situation at all. If you are looking for good quality and service, this is not the place. Naz Tomassian

We had my puppy corgi with us for the engagement pics at beach front. It's hard to control a puppy, not even mention capture the best moments with a puppy corgi! But Cris and his teammate made it perfectly and we looked so good with our model corgi! On my wedding day in Disneyland hotel, they had a crew of videographers and photographers, shooting views and pics from different angles! For my wedding highlights I only gave them a 3:55-min song, which is my favorite song, and they creatively combined all important moments from my ceremony, reception, engagement video and even the video captured from the DRONE into a perfect Hollywood-star style movie! My guests can't stop repeating our wedding highlights again and again, esp the kids they love to see Mickey and Minnie again! I had originally inquired with Kelley when I got engaged in 2010. My husband & I were her 1st 2012…read moreinquiry actually (hey, you have to inquire early if you want to get the best pricing). Kelley was very responsive in getting back to me via email. When my husband and I first met Kelley & her husband Paul, we met them at a Starbucks in Costa Mesa. They were really nice and very easy going to talk to. They answered all of our questions. My husband was really against having a videographer at the wedding because he thought this was one expense that was not necessary. But after he spoke with them, he thought it would be okay to make allowance for one in our budget. After we met with them for about an hour, I knew that I would not feel awkward around them if they filmed our wedding. But as luck would have it, unfortunately they were not available on our wedding day (we had originally told them another date and they were available but once we found our venue, we were told our original date was not available and had to change it. With this new date change, they were not available). I was truly heart broken when Kelley told me that they were not available on our day to film and had to endure a frustrating search for another videographer team. And to be honest, I have seen so many videos (and I mean a TON) and none, absolutely NONE can compare to what 618 studios do, and at the price they had originally quoted us in 2010. Either the videos were really shaky at times and awkward panning of the camera or if it was nice and clean cut, the price was two times as much as what 618 was going to charge us. So even though my husband and I did not end up having Kelley & Paul film our wedding day, we still would gladly highly recommend them to any future bride & groom. (And yes every now and then I like to watch some of their recent videos because they do such an amazing job telling the story of 2 people starting their 1st new lives with each other) Their films are of high quality and nice and clean shots and transitions between scenes of the day (something I envy of all of these lucky brides & grooms who had them at their wedding). Honestly, I still wished that they had filmed our wedding because the videographer we hired is not nearly as awesome and our video wasn't nearly as clean cut and had some shaky shots (but was the next best thing for us, within our budget) and unnecessary camera panning.

I found 618 on a blog and was impressed with how artistic their videos were. I knew they were just getting started in the business and were young, which did make me a little nervous. But after meeting them and seeing plenty of examples of their work, we were sold. Both my husband and I feel like we were able to hire this great vendor before they "hit it big." On the wedding day, Kelley and Paul were non intrusive. When watching the video I kept thinking "I didn't know they were there for that!" They are very professional and we couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. We love that we have our entire ceremony recorded, as well as the speeches. Turn around time was so fast! Our trailer was ready 3 days after the wedding and we had our copy of the full film about 6 weeks later. I highly recommend 618 studios to all couples looking for modern, "non cheesey" wedding videography.
