Man, Roland was awesome. They sent him out to fix my refrigerator, and he knocked it out of the park. A+ work. He knew exactly what he was doing, got everything handled, and made sure it was right before he left. Honestly, the best part was we ended up talking for about an hour and a half about life, family, and all kinds of random stuff. This company came out to work on my refrigerator and stove three weeks ago. Flames from broiler after twenty minutes and warm refrigerator. Technician was able to get refrigerator to run cooler.The technician told me that he had to order a part for both and would come back in a week to fix oven and refrigerator but did not follow up. Well it turns out, after literally months & months of calls to get him on board & 2 visits, that repairing my Tempstar furnace was too complex for Raynard and he suggested I call "Ralph" a more experienced HVAC tech. After talking to Raynard, Ralph called me to say that he & Raynard recommended to..."faggedabodit" & just replace it...!! an altogether very frustrating experience...& although I'm not really blaming anyone, I wish it could have been made clearer to me sooner. They are truly as good as it gets!. I normally don't write reviews but their excellent service and their emphasis on safety made me want to write this review. I will defiantly be using them in the future. I'm so grateful that they were very transparent about the work being done. They brought to my attention how the vent in my heater was not working and they could not fully install the heater until this was resolved, due to carbon monoxide poisoning. I have little ones and they save my landlord from a possible liability, but most important keep me and my children safe. I'm a single mom and I have no idea about repairs and they took the time to answer my question and gain were transparent about the work being done. I highly recommend them. read more

I can't recommend Raynard enough. Our fridge broke down and he troubleshooted it for a while and explained everything he was doing. This customer was duped. My experience with Raynard was through the purchase of a new washer and dryer - my property management company (Lapham) recommended him. He quoted me 3 hours to order, deliver, install and haul away the old appliances. It was only after discussing the transaction with the tenant did we come to realize Home Depot - where he ordered the parts, would do all this for $40 - only charge for taking away the old appliances. In the end he charged me 1.5 hours for the ordering of the parts. My belief is that had I not been in constant contact with the tenant I would have been charged the full amount. I tried to contact Raynard with regards to my unhappiness with the charges, however he was already paid by the property management company so he didn't bother to respond. read more

I have to say that I worked with the owner directly and he is very unproffesional. Parts were ordered supposedly....Raynard would say 3-4 days it would take 3-4 weeks. He uses profanity like it is okay and critizes everyone he can. He once came by the property and was asked to replace a dishwasher and decided out of his sneaky mind to order a dish washer, food disposal and rangehood.. when asked why would he order something that was not approved for order he replied and I quote '' WHY WOULD YOU CARE IF IT AINT YOUR MONEY" and I said yes it isnt my money but it is my bosses money. I am a service provider as well so it pains me to leave a fellow professional a negative review. But Mr. Raynard was not professional in his handling of my repair and I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied in the service I received. Here is the final message I sent to Mr. Raynard regarding his service: "Dear Mr. Raynard - I'm a bit disappointed that I haven't heard from you. I have had to consistently follow up with you for the status of my repair. On Monday, Nov 7th, you said you had a part to order and said you would order it that very day. Then, two days later, you said you had the part but when you showed up, you didn't have the part--instead just some old part that did not work with my range. You left that day saying you would order the part...again. So we basically lost all that time because you didn't do what you originally said you would which was to order the part in the first place. Five (5) days went by and I still hadn't heard any updates from you until I followed up with you. The following day, Wednesday, you called about shipping prices indicating to me that you STILL had not ordered the part. I authorized you to do 2-day shipping hoping that it would allow you to receive the part and repair my range by Friday (two days ago) or Saturday (yesterday) at the latest. Friday and Saturday came and went and I still haven't heard from you. Two-day shipping was for nothing. It is now the week of Thanksgiving and my oven is STILL not fixed. I first contacted you almost three weeks ago. Unfortunately, your business practices and response time is unacceptable to me. Please return the part you ordered. I do not wish to work with you. I will call someone else. Happy Thanksgiving." Maybe he just had a bad couple of weeks so I can understand that but I wish he would have just told me he couldn't prioritize my repair at this time so that I could find someone else to help me. It is now the week of Thanksgiving and I still have no oven. I guess he wants me to make a sweet potato pie on a George Foreman grill. I am not saying do not work with Mr. Raynard. I trust that he is knows his stuff and can fix things but he seems to either have a lot of clients or a lot going on and might not be able to get to your repair in the time that he promises. Raynard is my go-to appliance repair company. I wish all other service providers could be as good as these people are. I have been using Raynards since the 90s. My mother uses him and I regularly recommend him to all of my friends, neighbors and anyone I run across. He is fair and honest and hardworking. Raynards (and his workers) have successfully installed an instant hot water heater in the crawlspace under my house, repaired my vintage stove on numerous occasions and repaired and eventually replaced a direct vent heater. I had the pleasure of having Mr. Raynard in my home to repair my 14yr old dryer. He listened to the annoying loud banging I endured for a week. He made a quick assessment and proceeded to dismantle the dryer. As he pulled all the components apart, he quickly discovered the problem- lots of loose change & a tiny pair of tweezers wedged where they shouldn't have been. I have a 1960's Thermidor wall oven, I love it and don't want to replace it. It's difficult to find someone that will work with the electric elements. I was referred to Raynard by another company and I couldn't be more pleased! Raynard is extremely competent, respectful of my property and patient. A soft spoken man, he tells you upfront how he thinks the repair will play out. Parts are difficult to find, but he had agreed to try and showed me the pieces that were corroded and explained what repair could be managed if the parts were not available. I've been a customer of Raynard's for over 12 years, first for appliances and then for heaters. During that time, he has worked on over 40 properties for me. The work is done professionally, and he clearly understands the financial decisions that owners make. If I had any criticism, it is that his employees are not as consistantly good as he is. This is a problem for the entire industry and not just Raynard. In my experience, he does a very good job of making certain his staff does what is right when problems are brought to his attention. Horrible customer service, they don't let u speak and when u do the guys leaves u alone speaking to no one.

Called for a stacked washing machine that was at my rental property. Reynard was pleasant and helpful and was able to coordinate a mutually convenient time with the tenant. I was not there during the service which involved taking apart the pump and removing debris that was sucked in and reassembling it. After all that work, I was charged for just a basic service call. The tenant described the technician as quick and pleasant. I would not hesitate to use Raynard again. read more
