Dr. Lee is one of the few doctors who has truly earned my deepest respect. As this may be the final week we visit his office, I felt it was important to express my sincere gratitude to both him and his daughter for the exceptional care they've provided over the years. My mother became a patient in 2021 during a very critical time. She was rushed to the emergency room due to unexplained internal bleeding and severe bruising. No one could determine the cause. I still vividly remember the first time I met Dr. Lee--it was close to midnight, between 11:30 PM and 12:00 AM. Despite the late hour, he arrived at the hospital promptly and took immediate action. At first, I assumed he was the night-shift doctor, but I later learned he had already worked a full day at his clinic and was still making himself available to care for patients after hours. That dedication left a lasting impression on me. Eventually, my mother was diagnosed with a very rare condition called Factor VIII Deficiency. Her own brother, who lived in Vietnam, had sadly passed away from similar symptoms. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have met Dr. Lee and his daughter, who both cared for my mother with such compassion and professionalism throughout the years. Even during her chemotherapy treatments, Dr. Lee daughter personally visited her in the hospital to monitor her condition. When my mother later traveled to Vietnam to visit family and encountered further health issues, Dr. Lee responded to my calls--even from overseas--and guided us on what steps to take until she was able to return to the U.S. That level of commitment is rare and deeply appreciated. Over the years, I have not only seen the excellent care he provided my mother but also learned from his example as a medical professional. His passion, tireless work ethic, and genuine concern for his patients are truly inspiring. This is Nhi and I am checking in to thank Dr Raymond Lee, Dr Charlene Lee and the rest of the staffs for taking care of my mom Mrs. Tran for the past 8 years . My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 Multiple Myeloma on February 2017 and she just passed away June 2nd 2025. Dr Raymond treated her with all the chemo drugs there are in the book and she had a good 8 years quality of life . People who encountered her didn't even know she had cancer. Dr Lee was very diligent when it comes to her labs work and medication orders . Sandy, the front end staff was on top of making all the infusion appointments . Hanna and Evelyn are very accommodating with setting up her monthly appointments with Dr Lee. I highly recommend Dr Lee and his staffs for your oncologist care. After previously experiencing medical treatment from an previous doctor who was determined to miraculously treat his cancer with IR treatments and being disappointed twice we were referred to Dr. Lee. Dr. Charlene Lee took the time to find out the exact cancer he had and as a result why IR treatments will not work as a first line of treatment. She has been taking care of my dad's (Rafael) medical treatment for the past 3 months and we have been extremely pleased with her medical decision making. She has handled his infusions at O'Conner, his CT scans and his lab work very diligently. We recently got a second opinion at Stanford to ensure we're heading in the right direction and they agree with the decision making of Dr. Lee. My mom has late stage cancer and Dr.Lee was her first oncologist. He was always very impatient and spoke down to us as if we couldn't understand anything. When he had a phone visit with my mom to review lab results he literally spent 5 minutes on the phone with her and he hung up before she could ask any questions. Doctors should never treat patients this way, especially those with a terminal illness. Now she has transferred to another oncologist with care and compassion and it's like night and day. Hello, I am a leukemia patient ,My family doctor referred me to Dr. Raymon Lee. After seeing DR lee a few times I decided to change doctors. Dr. Lee told me not to go ,I still decided to see the doctor at Stanford. After making an appointment with a new doctor, Raymon Lee did not send my medical records to the new doctor, so I could not make an appointment. My daughter called Dr. Lee's office and they told my daughter to come to the office and pay $20.00 for paperwork. I give 1 star to this business. read more

I started seeing Dr. Raymond Lee after developing anemia due to what I thought was my bariatric weight loss surgery from 20 years ago. Dr. Lee immediately had me take iron infusions. It turns out the anemia was actually due to failing kidneys. Dr. Lee is very knowledgeable and proactive. He explains everything in detail and is the kindest person. He adjusted my medications and multivitamins to be kidney-safe. Since I don't need an Oncologist, he is handing me off to my primary care doctor who is a Nephrologist (kidney specialist). I read the bad reviews after seeing Dr. Raymond Lee, and I don't understand or recognize their complaints. But what I do like is the response from the staff to the people that have complaints. They are hysterical. I really enjoyed reading them. I found the staff to be very professional. I had no problem with them. My mother has been seeing Dr. Lee for years and I don't know why. She has dementia so I need to be with her so that she's giving the doctor the right info. He'll ask her a question like are you taking your medicine. She'll say I don't take that which is incorrect. I'll try to tell him yes she is and he just ignores me. It seems like he's in a hurry to get you out of the office. What he has to say is important and to hell with what you have to say. My brother called and asked to speak to the doctor. Was told he'll call back later. He waited 4 days and no call back. I've asked to renew my mother's medication and when I check the pharmacy there's no prescription put in. Granted the girls up front are helpful but have to wait on Dr. Lee's timing. I've since gotten another primary doctor for my mother. A big thumbs down for me. read more

It's hard to find a doctor that combines generousity and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. My husband and I highly recommend becoming his patient! My husband tells me every time Dr Lee sees him in the hospital or in his office that makes him feel better because of his professional experience, his friendliness and especially his sense of humor. My father has been going to Dr. Lee since Jan 2015 when he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. With Dr. Lee's care and treatment plan, my father's cancer has been managed very well for the last 5+ years. Dr. Lee is very thorough. He always follows the labs and imaging to make sure treatment is going as planned and to make any necessary changes as needed. My family and my father have felt very well taken care of here and we are very thankful for what he has done. We fully trust his expertise. His daughter, Dr. Charlene Lee is also very great and kind as well. She answered any questions when Dr. Lee was not available in the office. The front office including Sandy and the receptionists/medical assistants are great as well. They are very organized and prompt. Any issues related to insurance and appointments were handled very quickly and professionally to minimize any stress for us. I highly recommend going to Dr. Lee. What can i say bad about Dr. Lee, not a darn thing. Dr. Lee by far has been my best Dr. First time I saw him, I've been having the worst doctor/patient experiences. I wasted no time telling him if you can't help me don't waste my time and I won't waste yours, to my surprise Dr. Lee was very polite. He asked what was bothering me, i said very bad headaches. He said that wasn't his specialty but first things first he said a quick physical and check over. I'll admit I was a bit defensive and hostile especially seeing many Dr's who didn't seem to care. Unlike the other doctor visits i right away noticed he didn't have 50 thousand people in his waiting room herding them like cattle. Dr Lee checked me out and true to his word referred me to a specialist (that's a whole other story) i saw that specialist being under his care he found the cause to my migraines. I went to see Dr. Lee i was a angry person who didn't care much for the medical community Dr Lee changed my attitude when i left his office my wife asked what did I think.. i said he's ok and my wife didn't have to look for another doctor for me right now. I've under Dr Lee's care for a very long time, my wife and i have grown very close to them. I take what Dr Lee tells me, i may not like what he says but i listen and comply. Dr. Lee is a serious person when it comes to his profession, i see now why he is, i have family who are in the medical field, I've seen the change in them they are very serious and they should be we as people put our trust in them, their discussions deal with life and death. I bugs me when i see a negative post about Dr Lee and Sandy along with their staff, Sandy and her crew are very good at what they do. If there ever was an issue Sandy or her staff will fix it they always have, this is what they do, they are very good at it. Some people take it as being unprofessional when they don't drop everything so they can cater to them, I'd like to see those who say her staff isn't professional enuf, do their job bfor complaining about them, me personally I'd like to know how they do that job and smile when you interrupt them. I'm dreading the day when Dr. Lee retires, where am i going to find another Dr to replace him. I hope his daughter will take us in. I know she learned from the best. I don't write reviews but yet this one of the worst receptionist i have ever seen! I didn't have the chance to meet with the doctor so this review is just for one the receptionist. This was our first time there and when she asked us to show the insurance card and ID, we didn't know which insurance card was the right one so we gave a couple. Then she had this attitude complaining and that she has to check all every card each one. But isn't what the doctor paid her to do is to check be insurance for the patients? Then when when ask for the co-payment. My uncle is low income literally really couldn't afford the almost $80 co-pay for just one visit. I understands doctors might need to collect the money but yet she puts it in such a bad attitude and hurtful languages and has no respect for the patient at all! In a medical and especially cancer patient's office, it would be so nice if the staff can be friendlier and nicer with a better attitude. I don't know where all the good reviews comes from but definitely not from this receptionist. Didn't get her name because she was scolding at us. ( She is the older lady who speaks Cantonese.) I have been a patient of Doctor Raymond Lee's for over 3 years. After 4 back surgeries that went sideways, I developed chronic and dangerous bi-lateral DVT's. These are large blood clots in my lower legs. They were persistent and painful. By the end of any day, my legs and feet would swell even larger than they already were and I had kankles. I was referred to Doctor Raymond Lee by my PCP after water pills failed to have any impact. Yes, Doctor Raymond Lee is a busy man, but he always spent as much time as I had questions. He put me on a blood thinner. After 4-5 months there was 0.0 effect. So Doctor Raymond Lee referred me to an Intervention Radiologist at Stanford. As it turned out, the Doctor he referred me to was THE Intervention Radiologist in the nation, likely the world. After a regiment of tests, my Intervention Radiologist and his outstanding team, felt there was no alternative but to implant stents, 3 in each leg, to make sure none of the clots broke loose, and, well, ended me. Bottom line, after the surgery and a year on injectable blood thinners, the major issues were under control, and I was put back on a pill anticoagulant. Doctor Lee has stayed on top of my case. In fact, prior to seeing my Intervention Radiologist, I had an issue at about 02:00 am. Expect to leave a message on his exchange, Doctor Raymond Lee picked the call himself. That was a major surprise. He was very understanding and extraordinarily helpful. I can honestly say, without a Doctor Raymond Lee, his services, his referral, his care post surgery, I'm confident that there was a high probability I would NOT be alive today. As my 8th near death experience, I can in all honestly and with conviction say, Doctor Raymond Lee played a KEY role in saving my life. I cannot thank him enough. I would and have recommended him to others. I have heard nothing but good feedback from those I have recommended to his practice. read more

I have previously mistaken the constant messages post the office incident as cyber harassment, it is actually validation to this provider's misconduct and inadequacy to abide by healthcare compliance standards reported in numerous reviews. The "assistant" evidently has no remorse, and derails from the forementioned incident with baloney. Corrective actions were advised and were retaliated with aggressive targeted remarks. This is a precise example of how unfit and negligent the medical practice in-question stands. A solid example to guide anyone seeking practical reviews of a business. Friends, families, and the community are invited to read and share the message with loved ones. The true event that prompted the initial review: The appointment was scheduled well over a week in advance, in which I specifically stated the reason for a visit is to seek a second opinion of the diagnosis and prognosis for my father. Lady who answered the phone did not state her name, but was helpful to schedule the appointment. She was brief and no mentions of a MD referral. Little did I knew, she was not helpful after the fact. Day of the appointment finally came, and yes it was a mistake that we forgot the physical insurance card. However, dad's MD's office was quick to faxed the copies over 5 minutes after I called in. Right, I don't know who the MD is nor what insurance we have? BS. After completing the new patient registration paperwork I went up to turn it in to the receptionist..this is when she asked for a referral and it was the first and only time requested. You see,"I didn't realize you needed it, so I don't have one readily available." Sandy then claimed, "we cannot see a patient without a referral" as she quickly turned and headed to the back office. I was left speechless, livid, and appalled by the questionable staffs and their incompetence. What's left is having to explain this to dad. I marched over to my dad and told him that, "Dad, I'm awfully sorry for taking you all the way here and I know how tired you are, so we can go home now because the doctor won't see you." It broke my heart, and ultimately decided to share this story through the review(s) to shed light on the unfortunate event in hope that someone else can save themselves from this nightmare and heartbreak. This office deserves zero stars, but 1 star is the lowest of the lows. Noted, thank goodness Macy's is run by someone else and deserves more than 1 star. I am Evan, Hui's son. My mom did chemo therapy at Doctor Lee's clinic since 2016. My review is about the treatment and Doctor's ethics and personality. For the treatment, Dr Lee did so many research on cancer area, the treatment that my mom got was really effective. Doctor Lee also changed the treatment basing on the blood test report. I don't think too much about cancer, I can tell the treatment works from my mom's daily reaction. Second, Doctor Lee grows up in a poor Hong Kong family, his dad told him "never forgot the poor people". He did what his dad said. Most of low in come Asian families only have "media care" insurance card, Doctor Lee's office provide same treatment, but only earn 1/3 money (cuz Medicare card company can not pay as many as others). Doctor Lee and Sandy always tell my mom what to do that makes my mom health get better, every single visit and every single time. Well, what can our "poor" people expect more? We are moving down to LA soon, we are glad to have Doctor Lee as my mom's cancer doctor, that is a bless from God. He is so great he blew me away was in the hospital for DVT in the right leg! He was not a normal Dr he took the time to look at all the rest of my results and seen that my thyroid was off and put me on meds for It! He looks at everything he is a real Dr not one that only takes care of what the problem is at the time. But he takes care of your total health!!! His office staff is so amazing after being with Dr Lee for over a yr and a half now I changed medical plans it was a night mare i refused to give dr Lee up but Sandy made it so much easier she went beyond what she should she was an angle! I was diagnosed at the end of colorectal cancer at the Velly Medical Center in October 2013. They referred me to see the chemo Dr. Raymond Lee. At the time he saw my hospital report. Just ask me , why I was looking for him so late? Because I was at the doctor at Velly Medical Center, they thought that I was inflamed in the intestines. After three months of ingestion, They just let me to do a colonoscopy. Than found out that I was already in the final stage. During the five-year period, two chemotherapy sessions were performed in Dr. Lee's clinic. The first chemotherapy was because the tumor in the intestine was too large, and chemotherapy was needed to narrow it down to perform surgery. The second chemotherapy was due to cancer recurrence. During the chemotherapy process, Dr. Lee's really cares and takes care of me. He is a true doctor's parents. Really treat patients. Instead of treating it for money. Is a really real good doctor. Today is the last time I saw Dr. Lee's. Because my cancer has recovered completely, so I don't have to come again. But Dr. Lee's said that if there is any discomfort or problem in the future, I can still come to him. So warm. In addition, I am very grateful to Sandy sister. Because I am super afraid of injections. But every time Sandy's sister helped me with an injection, I was relieved because her technique was very good. So I am not afraid. My husband was rushed from the emergency room to Regional Medical Center of San Jose, which was 4 hours away, due to a brain metastasis from kidney cancer. You clearly did not inform me of any of medi-cal HMO information but at this point it's a "she said" "I said" situation. You can add whatever detail you want and no one will know. I also don't see the purpose of your statement of calling medi-cal patients "charity patients" . Yes not everyone can afford health care especially something as expensive as cancer treatment. I never said you discriminated us due to our financial background. All I said was how all patients should be given the care that they deserve. It is quite unprofessional of you to make such a statement seeing how you are a medical professional yourself. You not only make yourself look bad but dr lee as well. Secondly, hot flashes are not only side effects of tamoxifen but it can also occur as withdrawal symptoms as well. Hence my mother still experiencing hot flashes after being off of the tamoxifen. We have done our research on the official cancer website, you should too before you make a statement. Just as much of respect should be given to health care professionals, respect should also be given to patients and their family as well. Just because you may know more information about something it doesn't mean you can look down upon another person. If you HAD actually INFORMED me of the insurance policy and steps to receive the help we needed, then things wouldn't be the way they are now. We could have worked things out and got my mother help. My Husband went to Dr Lee for Chemo treatment for tongue cancer. The thing we really liked about Dr Lee is that he was straight forward with us on treatment plan. We were very concerned about the nausea but his method of controlling it worked very well. Of course the nausea is unavoidable but at least it was more tolerable. This Dr. Is so awesome that he answers his own calls after hours. If it weren't for Dr Lee and his care my husband wouldn't have made it through his chemo radiation treatments. I'm here to share my experience - one week ago- with Raymond Lee, MD. Run!! As fast as you can- RUN - in the opposite direction. This man is a disgrace to his profession. We nervously (but hopefully) came to him for his expertise in cancer treatment, advice and care ; and what he did, in a manner of 5 minutes, was to insult us, take away our hope and treat us like second class citizens. We are Hispanic. English is our first language. I attended my mother's first appointment with him and he spoke to her like she was mentally disturbed child . I tried to give him the benefit of doubt at first, I thought maybe he was just very rushed, having a bad day....we all do, even doctors have them, I get that. No, this man told me (in front of my 78 year old mother) and daughter- when asked about receiving chemotherapy for her colon cancer - he responded with : " She's too old and debilitated - not fit for chemotherapy ." This is not what you say at a first appointment to a woman who has been fighting for her life for the last 4 months in the hospital (2 months in the ICU). This man has no common sense, no bedside manner, no idea of what good professional care looks like, from what I experienced. How dare him disrespect my frail 78 year old mother!!
