She was so helpful and friendly and knew exactly how to help me. With our insurance, it was a little complicated but she knew exactly what to do. When I came back from my trip, my prescription was ready for pick up and she informed me that she maximized the insurance and gave me the updated changes to my insurance that I wasn't aware of. The Prescription is the deliverable patients get to do the Eye Exam and that is what we paid for. We called back and they said that is how they do Eye Exam here. They have to charge us for the fitting, before writing a prescription, whereas it is unnecessary as we did Eye Exams every year and nobody is doing this! Both me and wife have got our content lens for years, and we told the Doctor our current contact lens size etc. Excessive billing is throughout the healthcare system and we are disappointed this provider charges for services not only unnecessary but also they did not perform it. We will write a review also in VSP to remind of people - look for another provider! Plus - we tried to look up the Doctor's name in American Academy of Ophthalmologists, and could not even find the name there! PS: - just saw the horrible responses from the Provider on Jan 23 below! I called them several times as nobody answered so I left VM, and they called back with VM but does not answer specially about the item charged. Now they are calling me as harassing. I just spoke to this owner this morning in the phone! Wow, the darkening/lightening technology has improved over the years! My glasses work beautifully! Cathy spent close to 2 hours over 2 days patiently helping me choose the perfect frames, and letting me take frames home overnight. One week later I am the beneficiary of the time spent with her not only helping with frame selection but also the time spent measuring me so that the progressives would be perfect. She is enjoyable (indeed fun :-)) to chat with and truly cares about each person leaving her office with the best possible eyeglass solution for them. Instead, they only offer store credit. They also try to justify higher pricing by pointing to promotions like "one or two months free" or rebates, claiming it's a better deal than 800 Contacts. In my view, either you price match or you don't. There's also a lot of pressure to buy contacts on the spot. The pricing they offer is presented as a "same-day only" deal and typically requires purchasing a full year's supply upfront. My advice: ask them to print your prescription and consider buying your contacts elsewhere. That way, you're not locked into purchasing a year's supply all at once and can shop around for the best price. Also, note that Dr. Cindy M is no longer with this practice.

They claimed the exam takes 25 minutes, which has not been my experience elsewhere. It is clear they care more about hitting the exit door than helping a new patient who was ready to buy a nice pair of frames. They tried to reschedule me for tomorrow, but I declined. I will be taking my business to an office that actually values its customers.
