This was early spring, there were divots and a lot of weeds to be removed

I needed my back yard graded for a new garden project. The guys were very efficient and thorough, even to remove some old Forsythea shrubs. Josh understood my plans and even amended the soil with nice mushroom compost. The grading went well, as my yard has a slight pitch to it for runoff, and leveled out the areas where my raised beds were to go. I would recommend.

Do not hire. They damaged our fence, did not complete the job, did not clean up or weed as agreed. Very unprofessional

One star is generous. What an unprofessional disgrace…read more Last year, the crew came out while they were doing my neighbor's yard and I was charged $225 + $30 dumping fee for weeding, edging, mulching, dogwood trim, and holly bush trim. Oddly, the trimming wasn't in my estimate, but it was confirmed it would be done via email (screenshot to come). I was satisfied with the job and price. This year, my neighbor contacted Phil to come out for both yards again. Felt like risky business for Phil to do business this way, but alas, to each his own. The guys came out and didn't do the tree or bush trim as they did the prior year and neglected to weed a section along the walkway; however, I received a bill for the same price as last year, including the $30 tree branch dumping fee (although the tree was not trimmed). I called Phil and was immediately met with a nasty attitude. He told me he doesn't keep records and how was he supposed to know what he did the prior year. Common sense would tell me he'd do the same as the year before and contact me with any questions or concerns. He told me I shouldn't have had the neighbor make my appointment. I asked if he tried to contact me regarding any ambiguity to which he, the owner mind you, responded, "Just pay my f*cking bill! PAY MY F*CKING BILL!!" And then hung up. Moral to the story folks: 1) Don't ASSume you're working with a professional 2) Don't except professionalism from this "business owner." If Phil has a professional bone in his body (doubtful), he'll respond to this review with an apology for his verbal assault on me (a woman, by the way) or contact me privately with an apology. I'll pay my bill and update this review if that happens because I'm fair and honest. If he responds to this review with lies, which I suspect he will because he's clearly not in the business of respecting his clients (like he did the poor woman who gave him 2 stars), I'll just debunk his claims with snapshots of our entire conversation and continue to share his unprofessional behavior. Listen, Phil, you might have thought I'm weak because I'm a young woman and you could curse me out for inquiring about the services you charged for, but didn't perform, but I'm not the one. Ball's in your court. I know what I would do if I were a business owner.

Careful with this business...I spent $2400 on a small landscape project. Let me start by saying I…read moreneeded assistance with this type of project because I don't know very much about landscaping. I worked with Danielle who was great (only reason for 2 stars). The project consisted of 4 Rhododendron and 5 or 6 Cherry Laurel. Well one of the Rhododendron died and the Cherry Laure were infested with some type of white flying insects to the point of destruction. I called with the hope of resolving the situation and they were very responsive. Danielle acknowledged that the Cherry Laurels are prone to these white flies (maybe would have liked to have known that the first time) and suggested replacing with 2 Viburnum and 4 Cat Mint. Then I find out this replacement project will cost $1350 with no cost to replace the dead Rhododendron. At first I thought the total replacement price was going to be $675 which I thought was reasonable...but that was just the 50% down payment. I was going to back out of the project but did not want to deal with the insect infestation so I reluctantly moved forward. They completed the project and it looks kind of pathetic. They did not remove any weeds that were under the Laurels and they did not re-mulch the area. The plantings are sparse and very underwhelming. I could have done better myself. So after spending $3750 with the company, my suggestion is...do it yourself or shop around.

After giving my address, company quoted me $307 to do the work. When I received their bill, it was…read more$604!!!! Twice what I was quoted! Bad business practice...baiting with their quotes.
