There are many faux-meat options as well as more veggie based options and I think everything was well seasoned and delicious. I tried the beyond burger (teriyaki), fish ball curry, as well as the Hainanese chicken. I think the most impressive dish was the chicken because it looked the part and tasted good. The texture was on all the items was decent but you can definitely tell it's not meat - but I think it was definitely good enough if you consider the effort that went into creating the full dishes. You can grab food or snacks to-go in the little market place they have, or you can dine in with their very large menu of vegan and vegetarian options. The service is super friendly and the menu is easy to read and order from. There's also a huge diversity of items from Asian to more Western items you can most likely get your fix here. I loved the quotes on the wall and how they try to educate people about the food they serve as well as the impact that it makes. If you're in HK I'd highly recommend checking out one of their many locations around the city.

Given the limited choices for my vegan friends, this is a pretty decent restaurant. This super casual restaurant is canteen styled. You know like your average Ikea restaurant. It's nestled in the corner of Mong Kok's new shopping arcade, The Forest so it's not too busy. Which means you can sit for awhile and catch up on friend time. The seats aren't the comfiest, and the tables are small. But it'll do. It's Mong Kok after-all. There's chargers by the benches for you to charge up that mobile... or... laptop! Looking for a vegetarian bao to settle that "bao crave"? Why yes they have it!

So far we tried their All Day breakfast with scrambled bean curd, vegan jumbo sausage, sautéed tomato, baked beans, sautéed mixed mushrooms, potato wedges fresh fruits, veggie salad and vegan toast--it is the bomb! We also tried their waffle with fruits, also done perfectly! Waffle was crisp yet chewy! Love the glaze and chocolate syrup on it! I had their oat steam milk with cinnamon, just like home where Cafe Gratitude our vegan place make it in SD. There is so much more on the menu. They even have a special news years lunch/dinner menu; I think this is our place for New Years! The service is incredible! Jennie served us; she is very knowledgeable about veganism and patient. The place looks hip and classy and very clean! Highly, highly recommend LN Coffee. We will be here 5 more days so we will try more to review for you all!

The staff were professional and polite to showing us a seat. In all the café was a lovely little spot for one to gather their thoughts and unwind through coffee. Long Black Coffee $30 HKD As a coffee savant, I enjoy my coffee with bold flavours and preferably beans from Ethiopia or Kenya (best ones are Arabica which produce more lipid). Although we've decided to be a bit adventurous in not asking, we found this particular coffee quite the lackluster. There was a very distinct sour aftertaste that would linger and coated the back of your tongue; an obvious sign that the beans were under extracted. Speculating brazillian robusta? Just didn't really suit my palate. Not recommended. Soy Cappuccino $36 HKD Despite the not so tasty coffee, this concoction was pretty tasty even having no dairy added. Though I do prefer milk or cream to a certain extent, this is not too bad as a substitute. Had a nice sweet taste that did not entirely mask the taste of coffee. Perhaps the soy milk neutralized the high acidity. I had consumed it without any sugar. I do recommend this one.

Don't let the giant queue scare you, and yes there is almost always a queue. Despite that, it moves fairly fast. Its definitely not a place where you sit and chat with your friends. They expect you to sit down, order right away, eat it, and leave right away. But I guess many popular places are like that around Hong Kong.. Seating-wise its very cramp here. You'll be sitting basically elbow to elbow with strangers next and behind you. But that doesn't matter because their desserts are so wonderful! Some of my favorites are the tong yuen (glutinous rice balls) that come come with peanut sauce. The one that comes in the ginger soup is good too (for this dish, the balls have fillings inside, such as sesame or peanut sauce). Another good one is their sorbets, which are perfect for a hot day.

Heyyyy, do you like durian? Or even want to give it a shot despite the crazy smell it may emit or…read morethe odd taste it might exude? I believe one of the ways to try durian without having to be afraid of it is by tasting it through the various dessert dishes here at this cute little place. Having no idea that this place existed, I was pretty thankful to my new local friend who suggested this place. It's located in a small little street, similar to an alley way, and by the time you get near it, you'll definitely see a long line of people waiting to get in. The wait itself isn't that bad. Most people just come here to eat dessert and leave right after. Once seated, my friends and I spent some time browsing through the extensive dessert menu and settled on trying the durian with crystal seeds (one of the many popular dishes) and watermelon and lychee with crystal seeds. In summary, the watermelon and lychee were ok. The watermelon ended up being too watery for my taste and the lychee wasn't too memorable. Both tasted decent but definitely not a must try. For the durian, this was surprisingly good! I am normally not a durian fan (the stench gets to me sometime) but here, you couldn't really smell too much of the durian in the dish. The taste of durian was also soften quite a bit, making this dish a bit more doable for those who do not like durian. I found this dish to be pretty tasty and not too sweet and it was unique to eat it with the crystal seeds. Overall, this is a great spot to stop by for desserts. If you're not a fan of durian but can tolerate the smell of it wafting through the restaurant, this place is great to try other HK desserts at an affordable price.
