The day of days I have recently…read more... I work downtown and I backed into a pole, dented my bumper. I was leaving work and my tire must have felt like out and found a nail to eat... I've never had a flat so i was driving and felt it... pulled over to the Exxon on N Koenigheim St and the kind guy aired it up but told me to go to the glorious discount tire across the street. I went in right about closing time which i was scared they were going to turn me down. I walked in the store and around 3-4 men were in there and all smiling and eager to help. Chris the manager asked what i needed and i told him i had a nail. I was nervous ( first flat and dumb as rocks when it comes to cars ) I wasn't sure how to fix it and cost. Christ laughed and said it was free to patch it up. FREEEEEEEEEE my mother told me nothing in life was free... Seriously I've never been in a place with what seemed to be an all male staff that was so nice and upbeat. The staff made sure everyone knew they were there to help and Everyone customer wise seemed to be extremely happy and I will buy my next set of tires from there!

On Wednesday I scheduled to have my tires rotated on Friday at 845am. I got there early, they got…read moreme in and out quickly. When I scheduled the appointment I specifically asked they make sure all tires were at 35psi, recommended for my 2024Terrain. The last time the air was left at below 30psi on 2 tires and 33psi on other 2. When they completed, before I got in the car, I asked, did you check and make sure the tires are at the recommended psi. I was told yes. I got into my car and checked my readout and sure enough, drivers side at 35psi, front passenger at 33psi and rear passenger at 30psi. I bought these tires from them. You would think they would want to keep me happy. My family buys tires from them, my last car I bought tires from them. I get to Gentle Touch for my monthly oil change and explain that I didn't believe they were taking care of my rotations as I felt they should and when I left, all 4 tires were at 35psi, the readout showed. I'm putting this in here because my mother has also stated this particular Discount Tires service has lacked on many occasions for her. Now you know for your decision.

I did not shop around, but I do use Yelp and Google to look at reviews of whatever service I want. Tom's Tire Pros had excellent reviews so that is where I went. I will use them in the future.

My spark plugs needed changed, not something they usually do, but because I had them on hand they swapped them out for only an extra $20. They are so friendly, I will definitely be back!

The prices are okay and the location is convenient. Those are the pros. Every single time I go there, the desk area is a ghost town. To get someone to come and help me, I've resorted twice to looking their number up on my smartphone and calling them from inside the lobby. I never go there if I'm in any sort of a time crunch. Today I was there, and it took only 20-30 minutes to get my oil changed. Every other time, it's been over an hour. The guys usually make a comment about being an employee or two short. That's fine, I just go there with the understanding that it'll be awhile. Today, though...the guy got grease and dirt all over the inside of my car. I'm not a super neat freak, but there was oil all over my gear shifter, my steering wheel and the inside handles of my door. There are black grease stains (his boot prints) on my driver's side carpet. I would prefer to give my business to local non-chain places, but apparently I should have learned my lesson when they were merely wasting my time. Now they've graduated to trashing my property.
