Disclaimer; we only saw the show, we didn't participate in the pre-show activities or the Lu'au…read moredinner. The dancers, musicians host and fire dancers were so awesome. These folks are so great at what they do. I'll be honest I was really just waiting for the fire dancers...for me that was the highlight, but all the performers are great and did a great job of keeping the crowd engaged by participating. Only complaint is that a lady guest was standing up and taking videos and blocking everyone else's view behind her. Other than the inconsiderate guest, the show, venue and performers were fantastic. Also, couldn't have asked for more perfect weather!

Performers: The performers did a wonderful job dancing and putting on different acts. They were entertaining. During one act, a man climbed a tree with his bare feet. All the dancers did great. Food: The food was a buffet style serving line with servers. The food was decent. It was nothing to rave about, but it also wasn't the worst. It pretty much did its job. Overall: Again, I don't know if my expectations were too high, but I honestly wanted to leave, but I paid so much so I wanted to stay to see if the experience would get better. I don't have any other luaus to compare this to, so it could have been great and just not for me. I did feel like it took a long time to get the show started. There was a little entertaining before the show started, but I felt like there was a lot of wasted time.

A night in Kaka'ako is always a fun place to explore, and just be entertained!…read more The Honolulu Night Market at Our Kaka'ako is indeed a fabulous adventure into the biggest street/block party filled to the brim with all things local...food, retail and culture. I've been to so many and each and every one is very unique where you can find either fashion runway stage, live street art, or even a dance night in the barn. I just love the vibe SALT and surrounding Our Kaka'ako brings with the vibrant art we're so blessed to have and this particular night (November 19th) there was actually much more shopping just perfect for the holidays and the party went further down to Ya-ya's. Tonight I was fortunate to have gone after work so I kept it short but found some awesome treats. Some straw toppers to add to my holiday gift giving and some cheesecake cups (OG, Strawberry and Cookie Butter) of course I got one of each to share...ate the Strawberry which of course omg was yummy!! Not too sweet as the Strawberries was just perfect as I tried to get an even scoop of it all in every bite. Walked further down and honestly wasn't in the mood to wait too long for anything found something that would just exactly work for me. Ya-Ya's Chophouse & Seafood and tonight they had two items - Steak Kebabs - Fat Fried Rice with TAB (aka Thick Ass Bacon lol!) I seriously wanted the fried rice but thought that the Steak Kebabs was more sensible for me personally and it came with two kebabs each fully loaded with steak, mushrooms, peppers and onions with a huge scoop of rice! So many options I really was considering including Henna from Henna Happens, Birria Tacos from Dolce Vita, Corn from Corn Onoz Hawaii but though there's always a next time yes!?! I remember pre-pandemic Yelp had a booth here and hoping as things return to normalcy that we'll see it back again one day (hint hint!) Absolutely love this Honolulu Night Market as it offers so many cultural coolness that you can't find anywhere else! Thank you!

There was some live music, but it seemed more like a quick stop for tourists rather than a real night market. I didn't try any food because the atmosphere wasn't appealing, so I left quickly.

He's super non-judge mental and really just wants to make me sound good, which makes singing in front of him confortable. I honestly have been skeptical of singing teachers in the past, as I have had experiences just singing scales over and over again. Craig is the real deal. I noticed vast improvements in my vocal tone after just a few lessons, and was hitting notes well above what I thought my vocal range was. He also helped me discover my middle voice, which now allows me to sing with ease without straining. I can go on and on about the benefits I've noticed, but I don't want to make this post too long. If you're considering getting a voice lesson from Craig, I suggest scheduling your first lesson, and thank yourself later, haha.

I never even knew what a mixed voice was before him, but him helping find it was so transformative. I came to him an amateur, and within months, I am singing professionally with a band! I get excited when it's time to come see him (twice per week) bc I know we're going to hit another milestone, or another new vocal ability! And the huge smile on his face when I get that "aha" moment, you can just tell her takes personal joy, pride and gratification in the knowledge that he has a hand in that (in my progression). I also love that he can help with any genre, I dip my toes in theater, rock, pop, Spanish/mariachi music, he can help all of it!

With my three year old who has never done any sort of dance or language lessons at all, they were beyond welcoming and understanding. That was never mentioned or posted anywhere, and of course I'm going to want to take pictures of my kid... we were excited to be there and it was adorable to watch! It clearly wasn't an issue for other parents to take pictures of their kids as there are several photos of classes on yelp and Facebook. Anyways, she didn't ask to screen my pictures, just told me I can't take pictures. Fine. Halloween comes and they have a trick or treat event for the kids. One of the aunties who helps with the performances and outfits makes a comment that it's too bad my child is a boy. So okay, I learned all I needed to about this hula hui from that comment. Didn't send him back after that. Horrible.

I have to say this was a good scare. The costumes, props and effects were spot on. Many places are super dark like you can't see your hand 5 inches from your face. I had to take creepy small steps just to feel my way and get through this. Actors were professionally made up. it was difficult to tell if it was a dummy or not. I'm not one to scare easy but this place got me to jump twice. They have learned well how to guide people to the positions where they want them to be to get a good scare. And then when you think it's over, it's just like the in the movies. It ain't. hahahahha Some food trucks are set up in the parking lot so you can grab a bite to eat. Parking is across the street at West Marines. They have security there too for the safety of your vehicle. $15 will get you in but we decided to get the $20 Fast Pass to bypass the line. Special thanks to Kevin for setting this up again this year. Highly, highly recommend everyone going to check this out. Well worth it and better than most of the haunts out there.
