The Lynn Auditorium is a Mixed Bag. 3 STARS for The Auditorium & 5 Stars for the Entertainment. So…read more4 Stars. The Auditorium is kind of unique with its multi purpose use. First, the building serves three functions: it houses the city's principal offices, including the mayor's office, as well as the chambers of the city council & it provides concerts & theater arts. The Auditorium really needs to be Fixed Up & renovated. It's dated & it really is not what people expect when seeing concerts. They need better acoustics. If they did a makeover this could be a great place. It is an Art Deco building that has some beautiful marble walls & other striking architectural elements in the building that should be kept & really showcased. The rest needs to be updated but keeping the integrity of the Art Deco Style of the structure for today's modern world. That being said the Lynn Auditorium attracts Big Name Acts & Concerts. You can usually go to a show here for considerably cheaper price than seeing a show in Boston. They have a parking lot you pay for next door & several other paid parking lots in the vicinity. I've seen several concerts here including The Grass Roots, The Box Tops & The Association. This time out it was Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys performing the groups Greatest Hits. The opening Act was the Irish Singer Andrea Magee and her band. The Belfast singer is quite adept at playing the bodhran Irish drum while singing. They performed several original songs & covered Down to the River. When Brian Wilson took the stage it has one hit after another some 27 in total. They fluctuated lead singing between Brian, Al Jardine & his son Matt. They kicked off the evening with California Girls, I Get Around, Little Deuce Coupe, Surfer Girl, Don't Worry Baby sung by Matt Jardine, son of Al. The band also performed Do It Again, Wild Honey, Sail on Sailor, I Can Hear Music, Wouldn't It Be Nice, Sloop John B with Al Jardine. The Band also sang God Only Knows, Good Vibrations, Help Me Rhonda, Barbara Ann, Surfin' USA, Fun Fin Fun & Love & Mercy. What A Fun night of Beach Boys music where the audience sang along to many of the hit tunes. It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really rich to have The Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've Been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like A King On A Limited Budget!

Yes the venue is art deco period 1948 but sound system and acoustics (upgraded) were great, though the guy navigating the spotlight was off , the stage lighting in general was good. Sat in the balcony and the only obstruction is a rail by the first row but otherwise good views . Yes the occasional person musically inspired, does stand and yes folks on bathroom breaks and fetching drinks, but overall it felt like a nice atmosphere in a nice small town. Decent restaurants to dine before shows and decent spots to park. For the right group, we'll check out Lynn again!

It was easy to make reservations for the visit, the temple is well managed, staffed, and maintained. They offered an excellent selection of swag and merchandise for the believers and haters alike. The art presentations were beautifully done and well presented. The merchandise was priced fair and was plentiful. We spent several hours looking at the art on display, viewing the exhibits, and spending time in the library watching the documentary while flipping through books in their extensive collection. We both enjoyed the documentary, and it gave us both a greater appreciation for the important work TST does. If you've seen their online store, you know what to expect in the gift shop. I've ordered things online several times and always received my items promptly. The staff onsite was equally helpful in assisting my daughter select some jewelry that she loves. If you don't know what the temple stands for, I encourage you to stream the documentary "Hail Satan?" or read the FAQ on their website. TST is probably not at all what you think it is and the work they do is more important now than ever before.

One thing is for sure, there is a TON of things to do here. It was a little overwhelming for me because I wasn't super comfortable sitting around and not always seeing where the kids were (kudos to the parents who can do that). They're kids, so staying in one area longer than three minutes is impossible lol. There are different sections, lots of jumping areas, and many slides. The party area was packed. There were a lot of birthday parties happening. I noticed they have 9 party rooms, plus additional tables outside for parties without rooms, which added to how crowded it felt. At one point, they closed one of the areas because someone lost something and they had to search for it, which was inconvenient since that's where the kids were playing and were actually there longer than 3 minutes lol. There's also a lot of young (20 and under) staff working, which is interesting. They're present, but overall felt pretty hands-off, especially given how packed the place was. I also used the women's bathroom and out of 5 stalls, 4 didn't have toilet paper. The bathroom itself wasn't very clean and felt poorly maintained. When we went to get drinks, there was a long line and only one person working the front desk, so it took a while just to pay which cut into the allotted time for the kids. All that said, the kids enjoyed it. My son had been here before and wanted to come back with his cousin. He especially loves the soccer area, which was a big hit for him doing it is his favorite sport. I wouldn't say I wouldn't come back, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially with maintenance and staff being more attentive to the areas they're responsible for.

We bought tickets online for the 9AM-12PM block and some of the more popular rooms did start to get busy but you could easily go to another room if it was crowded. I liked that there were "trashcans" for toys that needed to be cleaned to prevent the spreading of germs. Bathrooms had step stools and toilet seats for kids which was great to see. There was a little room for kids to have their snacks as well. Check out the events calendar online to see if there are any special visitors/groups. The day we went there were visitors that brought crabs/hermit crabs and a project to make robo crabs. I do wish they had a water fountain or water filling station.

They have several small rooms filled with toys and activities for kids. I would say this place is best for kids 3 to 6. I also wouldn't want to be here when it's packed because like I mentioned, it is small. We went at around 10:45 and spent an hour there because they close at 12 for lunch and then reopen at 1pm. One of the rooms was still under construction. My wife and I were very pleased with the bathroom having steps for kids to wash their hands at the sink, a small toilet seat for those who are potty training, and a changing table.
