Yum - I'm still thinking about my açaí bowl from Raw and Juicy days later! This place was highly recommended to us for our visit to 30A and it was certainly worthwhile. The fresh and clean foods and beverages make it an appealing vacation spot. The açaí bowl, salmon bagel, and the breakfast burrito were group favorites! It was quite the popular spot with the line out the door, but despite this, the service was pretty quick. There's no designated parking lot, but there is street parking around. We came in for brunch and had a good experience. The aesthetic of the restaurant is gorgeous and beachy. We loved the outdoor curtains and string lights. The line is crazy, so be prepared to wait. Even thought it's a nice sit down restaurant, they use a pager system where you order at the counter and get buzzed when your food is ready. I got the Costa Rican breakfast, which came with brown rice, black beans, peso de gallo, avocado, and an over medium egg. My bowl was delicious and the egg was perfectly cooked. I wish there was a little more seasoning, but it's nothing hot sauce couldn't fix. My friends enjoyed the avocado toast, gf waffle, and sourdough French toast. Came with a group of 13 people and this place had a short line and we were able to snag a table immediately so we opted for it. Order at the counter, get a buzzer, and pick your food up at a counter. Open seating, serve yourself water, very casual. The price does not reflect that. I opted for the spring omelette which comes with eggs, cheese, Boursin cheese, and mushrooms, with a side of potatoes and ketchup. I asked if instead of mushrooms I could just get some extra broccoli. I got charged extra for a "side of broccoli" which I'm certain was not reflected in how much they added to my omelette as I mostly just tasted green onions. I got extremely minimal notes of Boursin cheese, I'm not sure how much if any was deliberately added to the dish. With tax and a small tip due to it not being a restaurant where I was actually getting served, it came out to $27. Absolute highway robbery. What the crap was that? I've had a lot of açaí bowls in my life, and literally none of them were this tasty. The açaí base itself was SO flavorful. The granola was crunchy, the berries were fresh, the almond butter was perfectly drizzly. My SIL got a sandwich with a side kale salad drenched in this unbelievable dressing, and the sandwich came with cashew mustard. And it was delicious. Yep, you heard me right, cashew freaking mustard was delicious. The location itself was absolutely gorgeous and impeccably kept. A staff member was constantly sweeping trash, cleaning tables, and bussing dishes so it was never left messy for long. The employees at the front were efficient and friendly. The ingredients tasted markedly fresher than usual and super filling. I also tried the omelette which was massive and had a healthy side of potatoes. The potatoes were a bit disappointing but the omelette with Gruyère was soooo good! Probably could have fed 2 it was so big! The service was quite slow and prices were pretty crazy, so I'd plan on getting there early to avoid super long lines and difficulty finding a table, but we did return cause food and vibes were so good! Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. The cashier was noticeably rude while taking our order, which set the tone right away. We visited during an off-hour with only three people ahead of us, yet somehow our food still took 45 minutes to come out. It's honestly hard to imagine how this place functions during peak times. If this is their pace when it's slow, expect to be waiting a couple of hours when it's busy. Unfortunately, the issues didn't stop there. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely disappointing. We have a gluten allergy, and despite clearly communicating this, our order was prepared with regular bread, which is a serious oversight. On top of that, the veggie sandwiches were missing several ingredients, making them feel incomplete and poorly prepared. The environment was at least visually appealing - I'll give them that. But unfortunately that's where the positives end. Overall, a very disappointing customer experience. read more
