Always an experience never to forget, when flying this airline. Anchorage has some rude staff. Kenai has good staff. Planes are always dirty looking inside. Recent flight was full. They had to remove luggage as they were overweight. No offer to deliver. Had to pick up the next day. read more

I am SO DISGUSTED with the service given in Kenai, Alaska on August 4, 2021. My family checked into RAVN with more than ample enough time. She checked a regular suitcase and a small fish box through to her final destination of Chicago. 1 flight from Kenai nonstop to Anchorage, 1 flight nonstop Anchorage to Chicago. She had a carry-on that is standard for commercial plane size but not for RAVN, so what they do is check it to Anchorage and you pick it up; just like you would gate check your bag on a commercial plane. But what they DID was bump luggage in favor of fish boxes. The amount of huge fish boxes was mind blowing. This practice needs to have a number or weight restriction per person so all passengers get their belongings shipped. So when she got to Anchorage her carry-on bag was not there. Come to find out they had filled the plane with so many fish boxes they put luggage and more fish boxes on a truck and drove it to Anchorage. Well needless to say none of her luggage made the connecting flights out of Anchorage to her final destination, as I'm sure many others did not make it either. But the absolute worst part was she is now in Anchorage and her bag that she had as a carry-on is who-knows-where. So she had to board her connecting flight not knowing where her carry-on was. Then to top it off the lady at the ticket counter in Kenai was sooooo rude and unprofessional she should be fired. I WILL go back and get her name, but I'm sure it will do no good, but if she treats passengers like that she needs to find another job. I can absolutely assure you I will NEVER fly on RAVN and I will discourage everyone I know to do the same. They recently went bankrupt and got bailed out. Gee I wonder why; because this is the same kind of service that was given before absolutely nothing has changed. People put things in a carry-on that are precious to them. She now has no way to trace this bag because there was no regular numbered luggage tag on it as it was gate-checked. I have called RAVN baggage and they will not answer the phone nor return a call. They should be ashamed of how they treat people and manage their service. NEVER, I MEAN NEVER AGAIN WILL I OR MINE EVER FLY RAVN. read more

They've always been great and willing to work with their customers. Sure the planes are a little on the older side, but there's no faster way to get from Anchorage to Kenai for that price. Rain or shine, winter or summer, they've always gotten me home safe. Thank you for being there for us! read more

Transferring from a larger airline to a regional one in the same day is a great reminder that local businesses are the ones that really know a city, and the Ravn desk staff made my arrival seem like more than just the "dropoff" in Anchorage on the first leg of my trip. (Though if you find Southern accents as refreshing as an ice-cold sweet tea on a summer day, you could do worse than Delta.) My last trip to Alaska was a hybrid work-vacation, and the Ravn representatives I spoke with in person were willing to answer questions that helped make the vacation part a lot more fun. Even if it's just a nod toward a popular restaurant or brewery, people who live local always know the best spots, and it was great to experience that as soon as I got off the plane. This airline is simply terrible. Avoid it like the plague. I've flown Ravn (previously ERA) probably 50 times due to it being the only flight provider in my town for a number of years. Since being sold and becoming Ravn it has become horrible. No less than 60% of my flights have been late, regardless of the weather, time of day, or passenger load. They will always find a way to make you late. Drive, hitchhike or swim before you waste your money with Ravn. read more

Ravn went out of business in the pandemic. They had provided such poor service - that was a blessing. I used to book early flights for anchorage connections because you never knew if Ravn would cancel the flight (without explanations) and I would have to drive to Anchorage to catch my Alaska Airlines flight. They desperately needed new management that would refocus the company on quality service. After they restarted, they had a significant improvement. Their website now works better and there phone service is much improved. However they still will cancel flights without notice and they started charging baggage fees. I had a Kenai gate agent tell me I had to pay a baggage fee because I was not flying first class on my Alaska Airlines connection! I said that is ridiculous (I'm gold 75 and club 49). She said pay or I will be denied boarding!! My next flight I asked to check my bags onto my Alaska flight from anchorage. The agent said the flight was closed ! I said "it is 1 hour before departure - the flight is not closed". She decided to check my bag with the Alaska connection. Ravn is still so undependable and has incompetent agents that you cannot depend on them, I now fly Grant. Grant planes are tiny, but they don't cancel flights and they have first class costumer service. Most slope workers have been forced to which to Grant. Ravn still has lots of problems. read more

This airline has been incredibly helpful for my travels within Alaska. I've enjoyed how easy and stress free their boarding process is as well as how friendly their staff is. My last flight got in ahead of schedule and that is always a huge plus. Can't recommend this airline enough. read more

Terrible service and arbitrary rules. Arrive 29 minutes before your flight? Too bad, you aren't getting on even though there's no TSA, you have no bags to check, there's 10 empty seats, and the plane is 15 minutes behind schedule. I use this airline to go from Kenai to Anchorage in frequently. I have never had any issues with them I have found that they do their job they are polite there quick and efficient and you get a cookie at the end of the flight. This afternoon however while in Anchorage waiting for a 4 o'clock flight to Kenai I had the misfortune to watch an older couple probably 70s be absolutely rude to the attendance at the boarding desk at gate a 14 and this is Sunday the 29th. It was a couple in their early 70s who had had something going on with their flight. They were so rude to the attendance at the boarding gate. They kept trying to place blame and kept saying "you" to the young woman who was trying to help them ..."you made this mistake" " you didn't put us on " and I really doubt that she was the one who attended them in the morning in fact I thought I heard her say she had not been. And the husband was jotting down names and demanding the name of the supervisor ..."I want to call her" etc. etc. they really only made asses of themselves, everyone else was observing it and rolling their eyes. I want to say kudos to Raven staff who remained calm took their abuse which I don't know if I would have and tried continually to help these people get on the next flight to Homer.
