Food = 3 stars, maybe at most...actually, between 2 and 2.5 stars Mom-in-law raves about the seafood...insisted on taking us there for a meal. We went as a big group (the whole extended family). The location was nice and quiet, looks the part of a restaurant that charges 40 Euros per person. However, I find the food in general a bit lacking...hmm... First of all, everything was a bit salty...a bit greasy and presentation is a bit sloppy. Of course, this is all relative to the price point we are charged. Seems as though they have one fixed menu...I deviated from the fixed menu a bit, but it did not do any good. The older server poured everyone a glass of prosecco, which was ok. Our cousin's husband ordered this light rose wine from the Veneto region...not so yummy. The only saving grace was this nice young server, Claudio, who tirelessly helped us with group photos. Inside the restaurant and out in the parking area. Kudos to him! Overall, the food was mediocre...I will not personally spend 40 Euros per person at a place that serves food as though it's a canteen...but the meal served a purpose...we met as a family and enjoyed each others company... Claudio, grazie!

Authentic Chinese food in a no-frills setting…read more On the way to Florence Airport, we decided to stop in Prato for Chinese food. My traveling companion is Chinese and we were both "pasted-out" after a week of carbs. There are many Chinese restaurants in the factory town of Prato, catering to the 40,000 Chinese residents. We tried this one because it had the most reviews on yelp. The "ravioli" are dumplings- ours were steamed chicken and very good- not greasy at all. Ma Po Tofu was flavorful and moderately spicy, and the steamed veggie dish had some lovely tree ear mushrooms. The entrance is in the rear-not on the street side. Parking can be tricky

Instead you will find a choice of "italianized" Chinese recipes according to the words of the waitress to my Chinese friend who was surprised of how much names of dishes look more like a Chinese restaurant in the US than one in Shanghai... So let's say that it is not very typical Chinese at all but more dishes with a Chinese flavor but cooked for European palates. That being said, the dishes we had were quite tasty, but too salty and this is why i give only 3 stars. We had some rice cakes, some duck (very good! but again too salty), some shrimps and some vegetables. The dinner was good and pleasant but nothing outstanding. And as my Chinese friend, i was a bit disappointed not to find something closer to what i had in China. It is quite cheap: 10 euros each for all that. Ah, on the menu you can also find a large choice of Thailand dishes.. i have to say i always find weird in a Chinese restaurant to have so much choice from other countries - i always wonder how the Chef can be able to cook so many stuff and from very different countries. my pessimistic answer is: he can cook all these but not all these really good.

Very friendly service, simple authentic Chinese food and very very good pricing. They even tried to cook my a vegi dish that is not on the manu. This was very good with the sweet orange sauce. You can also ask for the piccante sauce. Use sparingly unless you like hot spicy sauces. Then rice with pine apple and pine nuts. Finally for main course, pollo piccante, spicy fried chicken. The chicken came with dried peppers and a lot of them. These also are a spicy persons dream. All the food was top notch and wonderful. Since it was a group event I also was able to taste the chicken with almonds and the fried spaghetti with seafood. These also were delicious. The staff was courteous and the waitress spoke english. It is an easy 15 minute walk from the center out to here. Just head toward Piazza della Liberta and follow the viale to the left about a block and a half. We are definitely coming back here soon!
