They (orthodontist and assistant-who was seemingly a student) acted strangely indifferent about it. The student tried to cover for herself before getting the orthodontist. I think there needs to be more transparentcy around the fact that a lot of the girls at this clinic (doing orthodontic work) are in an apprenticeship.. Meaning they are basically students. I paid over 400 for top and bottom and not even a year later the bottom came loose and had to be replaced. Wanted to charge me over 400 to remove the old and replace it. For how much I spent if something breaks under a year you would think they would fix it for free. I have had my permanent retainer for over 30 years and not once has it come loose. Save yourself money and just go with the plastic retainers.
