This is my honest review of Schimidl Orthodontics- I had the opportunity to extern as a dental assistant at this office for 1 month: Where do I start? I had such a valuable, rewarding, 6 out of 5 experience externing at this office and learning from Dr. Schmidl and her amazing team. This office follows all the safety and health standards, and has high standards in providing the highest quality care for each of their patients. I had heard that Dr. Schmidl is the best in Medford, and it definitely proved to be accurate after externing here! She has patients driving all the way from California to see her. Dr. Schmidl and her whole team are warm and welcoming. From shadowing and talking to each one of them, I can confidently say that you will have a positive experience here. I highly recommend Schmidl Orthodontics. The team is friendly and treats their patients with respect, patience, and kindness. The team is a tight-knit family and they all have such positive attitudes. I want to acknowledge each of the team members for their amazing personalities and skills they bring to their job. Dr. Schimidl is always furthering her education and staying up to date with all modern orthodontic advancements. Her work incorporates the latest advances in orthodontic treatment techniques and dental research. It was very cool for me to see all the latest 'gadgets' they use in their office. This team is very patient and offers great care. They will not send you home with wires poking at your gums, they make sure you feel happy. I was very impressed by how skilled the dental assistants are. They've inspired me to go into the ortho field. When you first go in for a consultation, they will discuss with you and go over all your options. They want to make sure you make the best decision for yourself. From all the patients I got to observe and assist with, no 2 treatment plans are the same. Dr. Schmidl will discuss with you what your goals are for your smile. You can trust that she can make that happen! To add to this already-long review: I was a patient here myself! On my last week at the office, I had a new pair of retainers made. I had a great experience. They made sure my new retainers were fitting well and nicely. And made tweaks to it until it felt perfect. The retainers are great quality and I am very happy with them! I'm in my 30s and she was able to create a treatment plan that fixed my cross-bite within the 18 months she originally quoted me during my consultation. The treatment was easy and I visited Dr. Schmidl's office every few months to check in on my progress. Every step of the way was clear and I couldn't be happier about the results. I'm in my 40s and have had traditional braces twice before in my life, with some degree of relapse after each round. I chose Dr. Schmidl and her team to provide the ultimate solution to my issues (third time's the charm!). Throughout the entire process, there was excellent planning from Dr. Schmidl, as well as clear communication regarding objectives and expectations. She showed me the computer simulation/modeling for my Invisalign treatment and during the treatment course explained not only what she was doing but more importantly why. I'm now done with the Invisalign trays and have both permanent and removable retainers. I'm happy with the cosmetic and functional improvement and am confident there will not be relapse. Too many good things to say! Went to Dr. Schmidl as part of an implant process. I'm doing Invisalign before the implant and the experience is wonderful. This is my second time doing Invisalign, the first time was through a dentist. It couldn't be more of a night and day difference, well it makes sense to me now.... an orthodontics trained professional should be the only one that moves your teeth! The treatment I had for correcting my bite with Invisalign was so well done with the group at Schmidl and Dr. Dana Schmidl . They are very professional and caring, and practice all the cautions with COVID. Rather than being a tense environment they have a beautiful facility looking through big glass windows at nature. Excellent service - I needed retainers and they scheduled me promptly, provided a great intake during which Donna thoroughly reviewed my intake paperwork and took photos, and they did impressions and then had my retainers ready that afternoon! Schmidl Orthodotics is a excellent choice when choosing where to get your teeth care & needs met. I have been going to this location for almost two years now. This is the best place in my opinion. I had bounced around to many different locations over the years (this is my 2nd time I've gone through the braces ordeal). The first orthodontists I had went to was not as caring or gentle. I have extremely sensitive teeth. That was a major deciding factor when I was looking around at who my next orthodontist should be. Unfortunately, I needed to do the whole braces ordeal twice since I did a terrible job wearing my retainer. With all my experiences at different places, I must say I that I could not have landed in a better place than Schmidl's office. There is a huge difference from all the other places I had been prior. Schmidl Orthodotics team is so compassionate. They strive to be as gentle as possible on their patients. This is so important when one needs to get their teeth continually worked on. Dr. Dana also takes her work seriously as she strives for her patients to achieve that perfect smile (she's such a perfectionist). I will always appreciate how knowledgeable their staff is. They provided me with all the tools & information I needed along the way as they wanted my teeth to the reach best results. Most important is that they are all good at what they do! And, they are gentle! I recommend this place to everyone (especially those who are sensitive) This is a great place & their staff members are awesome .
