Fabulous!!!!! Will be back! Atmosphere was fun. Checked tableclothes, super fun salt and peppers shakers, chalkboard dessert menus. Even the restroom had fun things to read and look at on the walls. Loved the vibe. Husband thought it was too loud and busy. He would like to be in permanent quarantine I think. Not many places even attempt the Monte Cristo sandwich and when I saw it on the menu I had to! Love love love a good Monte Cristo! It did not disappoint! Fantastic! Would have liked the raspberry sauce to be a little more fruit and not so gel but it had an amazing flavor so was not too much distraction from the whole picture. The homemade broccoli salad was delish. Finished off my meal with a German Chocolate cake whirl. Wow! Husband got the Poor Man steak (- onion) and a salad and cottage cheese. He was already crabby cause I drug him out of the house to go to the vets office with the dog and a large bill.... so when the salad came with chopped cucumbers on it the grimacing from across the table was almost more than I could take. On our return road trip from Oregon to our home in Texas and decided to try Raths Cafe in Aurora and we were glad we did. Good delicious old style home cooking that came with conversations with the locals. Everyone at the Cafe was great and it was nice to get such great service from the staff. Do yourselves a favor and take the short 3 mile detour off of I80 into Aurora and visit this quaint little town cafe you won't be disappointed so much better than the franchise restaurants that you find along the interstate highways. read more

Delicious food in this cute little diner. I recommend the bbq chicken and garlic mashed potatoes! Friendly staff, however no one was wearing masks and people are not seated with social distancing in mind- it was pretty crowded actually and we felt a little uncomfortable in this COVID time. read more

In town from the east coast to visit family. Was looking for a place to eat while they were at work. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a go. The atmosphere was cute with a small town cafe feel to it. The tables are huge enough to accommodate larger families (6 to 8 people), but a bit too large to feel comfortable while dining solo. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I went with the days special; prime rib sandwich, fries, and slaw. The food took a while to come out, but understandably so considering how busy it was. My only complaint would be the service. The waitress took my order, which included the special, a coffee and an ice water. She's brought my coffee (no water) and didn't return until my food was ready. By then I had already finished my cup of coffee and had been sitting there in a huge booth twiddling my thumbs for what seemed like an eternity. When she finally delivered my food, she asked if I needed anything else. I asked for a refill on my coffee and a water. Off she went. When I looked up, she was taking orders and clearing tables. Still, no coffee or water to be had. As she was passing by, I asked her once more for a coffee and a water. By this time the place had pretty much emptied (I was one of 3 tables left). She brought my refill and water, then went ghost once again. I finished my meal and waited for the check, which never came. Unable to wait any longer, I went up to the register and told the lady what I had, paid, and left. All in all, I give the food 5 stars, the atmosphere 4 stars, and the service a low 3 (only because she was nice). Hoping the service I experienced was due to shortage of staff, I'm giving the restaurant 4 stars. read more
