The most racist town I've ever been in. My Hispanic friend told me that someone in town told him that they hate Mexicans. I kinda blew it off, because I grew up in a small town. You hear all kinds of stuff, but most people don't mean it. My friend and I sat down to eat at this place during our lunch break. The waitress was nice. Not over friendly, but she kept our drinks filled, and checked on us. When we were done, she kinda motioned to me was the bill going to be together or separate. I had paid for lunch at another place the day before, so my friend offered to pay. I told her we were paying together. She brought the ticket to me, assuming I was paying. I passed the ticket to my friend. She then took my plate, and gave me a piece of cake, free of charge! It was, wait for it......a Hispanic dish "tres leches". My friend was still eating. I thought, surely she'll do the same thing for him. After he finished eating, she came back to me and told me how she came up with the recipe, and made small talk about other things.
