Bad service even after the tip wouldn't give the right flavors and when asked for the right one got denied

When my sister was ordering her raspado she asked for a CHERRY one , after ordering she payed and left a tip for them. We got our food and as my sister was trying her raspado she realized they gave her the wrong flavor, she went up to the counter and told one of the girls they got her order wrong. The girl REFUSED to give her a new raspado... mind u my sister had PAYED before and left TIP!!!! and the girls excuse was " i can't because u took a sip out of it and they will take it out of my paycheck if i give u a new one " HOW RIDICULOUS!!!!! I was recommended to come here to try out their raspados I was so excited. I also wanted to try out a couple other snacks while I was there so I ordered the Tostilocos, Corn in a cup, and a Cocunut/Walnut raspado total came out to $16.50. Personally I didn't enjoy any of it. The corn turned completely red from the amount of Valentina or hot sauce they used. The tostilocos were horrible they gave me a total of 6 round TORTILLA chips broken in half! Traditional TOSTILOCOS have Tostitos chips not here I guess. They also gave me the smallest amount of Japanese peanuts. To top it all off I asked for no cueritos they added the most insane amount in there! Of course I decided to walk back inside to notify them and see if I could get a bag of chips or another item to compensate for the mistake. They said no they wouldn't be able to but they'd remake it. Same results they gave me the smallest amount of tortilla chips and peanuts. I not sure if it was the owner or manager on duty , decided to walk up to the front and tell the young lady remaking my tostilocos to just exchange it after I already took everything out. He didn't bother to apologize for the inconvenience or acknowledge me for all they knew I could've been allergic to pork. Customer service 4/10. They could use a lot of work. read more

I went yesterday to get a large corn and a small snow cone. First time there and the girls there were very nice they were busy, had a line with about 5 people behind me and they all had great energy. The girl that took my order was very polite and helpful I didn't catch her name but my next visit I will ask her because guys! We ordered the Cottage Xpress (cottage cheese, grapes, kiwi, peaches, cantaloupe, strawberries, granola) I am not a fan of melon so I asked for pineapple as a substitute and they were fine with that change. The majority of the fruit in this was pineapple so I'm glad I substituted the melon because otherwise I would have had the majority of it as melon which I would not have liked. The Cottage Xpress was delicious and very fresh! All the fruit seemed fresh except the peaches looked canned and I couldn't tell if they were. Overall it was very good, fresh and healthy and I would definitely get it again. The serving was pretty large, I couldn't finish it all. We also got the Bionico (plain yogurt, strawberries, apples, cantaloupe & coconut) we substituted the apples for pineapple on this one too and added granola. There wasn't as much pineapple in this order but I shared some of mine. This one was just as good and fresh and was devoured entirely. Total this cost about $10 which was extremely cheap for the portions and we would go back for more! read more

I love fruit and anything that contains it. If you're a fruity-foodie like me, and happen to be in the neighborhood, then you have to try this place. The menu is a little hard to read since ingredients aren't actually listed. They have photos instead, which kind of made me feel like a five year old pointing to the pretty picture. You might have to ask for clarification or else you will find yourself wondering, "Does this papaya drink have onion in it?" No, it's jicama. Anyway, Fernando was really helpful explaining the menu and even made me a few shot sized samples to help me decide. "Pico de gallo" was like a spicy watermelon slushy with a unique taste in a yummy way. Try "frescas con crema" (strawberries and cream) if you are looking for something rich & sweet (almost too sweet). They have smoothies, snow-cones, and a whole range of iced drinks with a Mexican twist. They use fresh fruits. FRESH, not frozen, canned, "fruit substitute", or whatever else big companies resort to using these days to cut costs. The best part? Price. I've never spent more than four bucks in there. The cups he uses are huge, like 20 ounces (think Starbuck's venti). The location might not jump out at ya since they're in a small strip mall, but this is one of those places you just have to go in and try to appreciate. Don't let the outside appearance scare ya. Everything on their menu is LOADED with fruit, not fruit flavored corn syrup. They also sell 7-11 style nachos and hotdogs, but that's not why people come here. Ever since I was a kid, I have loved eating raspados when I went to vacation in Mexico. I have only been able to find 2 decent places in the states and this is one of these places. They use natural tamarind and other syrups and not those pre-made high fructose corn syrups from other "raspado" places. I have tried the trompo, charamarindo, and diablo. I recommend the last two if you like sweet/ sour and spicy, respectively. They also have elote(corn) snacks among others. read more

I always get their frappuchino and it's always spot on yummy~~ sometimes it vary on how well they blend the ice tho. Sometime I get tiny ice pieces left at the bottom but most time they blend it well. I recently try choco milk, horchata and agua Fresca lemon flavor. The lemon was sweeter than expected but I think in Mejico they always make it super sweet and not really much different from here. Spending time in Matehuala Mexico at some day of the dead festival I tried horchata and even browsing the shops in Reynosa and Nuevo Progresso the horchata always refreshingly sweet. Makes for a good desert too! I like this place and it's such a great spot during the summer or a nice treat when I'm next door washing clothing! I ordered a "natural" pineapple juice , it was everything but natural, if you know about aguas frescas then this place is a major disappointment. The drink basically consisted of water mixes with crushed pineapple. The pineapple tasted old and it had been marinated in corn syrup, total nastiness. My family and I shared the elote and strawberries and cream, and I had a chamango. It was great! We could choose between white and yellow corn, and it was mighty tasty with all the toppings. Glad we got the corn, because it was a nice and savory contrast to the sweet strawberries and chamango. So it was my first time trying a chamango, and I was impressed! Here, it was served with a nice scoop of mango-flavored crushed ice on top. They were generous with the mangoes, although they were a bit under-ripe. I wish it had come with the tamarind straw, which I ended up paying $1 extra for. Loved the balance of spicy-sweet-sour! I finished the whole thing and was so full. Aguas galore and so freakin much more. I had stop in this place. Come on, they are Xperts! Now, I don't proclaim that Spanish is my first language. Nor is it my second. I can pick a part bits and pieces of it as my third or fourth... maybe. Knowing the language will definitely be a plus here. However, one word I do know - bebida. And they do that word well here. I went in with a mission - agua me up. They sent me to a small little plaque at the front with all the many flavors. And probably because I looked so out of place, I got a sample after I ordered to make sure that I would like it. Mango was definitely the way to go. Pulp at the bottom, not too much ice, perfect consistency. Tried it first time on a warm Sunday afternoon. It was empty inside. One guy inside spoke English and was very helpful. He let us try several flavors of raspas in little cups. I was very impressed that they had real fruit. I enjoyed my guava raspa quite a bit, but it gets rather sweet after a while as most raspas do. My companion got an agua fresca de mango, which was alright. The pico de gallo drink (made with fruit, not the typical salsa thing) looked really good, and I'd like to try it next time. Not sure if it's because I'm from the valley and got used to the finely shaved ice or the awesome flavors but did not get that here. The ice was chunky and the flavors ere your typical fruit flavors. Was excited to see that they had leche but it didn't occur to me that it was JUST leche.
