Best of all, it is a non-profit association which supports the community and local artists. All the art work we bought were reasonably priced and all of our friends love it when they see it.

Held meetings to draw people into the gallery and held demonstrations. In the past year I've added and sold my Resin work along with my Encaustic Paintings. Resin is considered 3D in the gallery, which made it awkward as the 3D Curator is a sculpture and never wanted my small Resin Coasters and such in the gallery. She got her way and had changed the requirements I had originally obtained when I agreed to sell my Resin work at the gallery 2 days before and after they received my $110 to exhibit these pieces. They refused to give back my fees when I decided to withdraw because of these changes. UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES - RELAXED FACE MASK USE in the gallery by the Management, and group gatherings during COVID19. These were my reasons for leaving after 7 years. It's a coop but it's turned into something else, that is now very undesirable with bad business sense, and an unhealthy turn of events. While most artwork and artists are top notch, there are a handful of people that have taken their positions as a power play, holding back any growth opportunities for both the artists and the gallery. As an artist and a customer at this time, I do not recommend this gallery for the reasons stated above.

No concessions were available on site, but they did offer guests free bottled water in the lobby. Photography and video recording was allowed for this particular show. Note, you can't see the full stage from the side balcony section unless you lean forward drastically as the seats are too far from the railing and unmovable. There are also poles in front of some of the side balcony seats with no advanced notice about the obstructed view when purchasing tickets... there's a reason these are the cheapest seats in the house. The performance was great, including beloved tunes from Mary Poppins (Chim Chim Cher-ee), Cinderella (A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes), 101 Dalmations (Cruella De Vil), Aladdin (Never Had a Friend Like Me), The Little Mermaid (Kiss the Girl), Snow White (Some Day My Prince Will Come), Lady and the Tramp, The Princess and the Frog, Jungle Book, and a non-disney encore of What a Wonderful World.

Because they are working with important stuff pertaining to national security, nuclear materials and other top secret stuff, they won't let the average Yelper in there. But, right outside their front gate is the Discovery Center. The Discovery Center is a small museum that gives you a brief introduction to the lab and what they do. They have hands on and interactive exhibits for children to play with. Most of the exhibits were well maintained. It is an interesting way to spend an hour. The staff, at least on the day were there, was fantastic. Since we were the only ones there, she almost gave us a personalized tour to explain some of the exhibits and talk about the lab and what they do. They have an easy scavenger hunt for children with a nice t-shirt as a prize. They are pretty generous with the scavenger hunt and let children of all ages play. The museum is priced just right for most Yelpers. It is free! It's a nice place, with not a lot of visitors.

Her process begins with plein air watercolor studies in order to capture the atmospheric qualities of the light and color that draw her to a particular spot. Then, she takes several photographs of the area to use along with the watercolor sketch to begin the painting in her studio. Given her training as an Engineer, it is not surprising that she loves details, but she believes the focus of the painting can only come to life if the rest of the painting is void of unnecessary details. Along with light and color, these qualities help bring the essence of the painting into view. She also developed and teaches Art, Science & Nature Classes to 1st grade girls with the hope of inspiring them to see the connection science and nature with art projects to reinforce the science concepts. Travel and exploration generate inspiration for her work. She loves taking photographs of places she visits and has an eye for finding unique angles and perspectives of scenes and objects. She has hundreds of photos she's taken over the years and hopes that eventually she'll have the chance to paint them all. Lynn is currently a member of the Pleasanton Art League and serves as Programs Chair for the Livermore Art Association.
