I don't know what the hype is all about, but it was a subpar experience. I made a same-day appointment, came in, and she was on the phone talking. I had to wait for a few minutes for her to finish. When she was threading my brows, she was rough with me versus other threaders I've been to. She does not have a light hand. Obviously the process hurts, but she barely gave me any time to recover. She kept giving me the mirror to check if I'm satisfied and I kept seeing small hairs which she failed to take out. I had to point them out each and every time. Can't she do it herself? It's her expertise after all. Her overall attitude was one of indifference. She didn't care if she did a good job or not. After she finished, she slapped on some cooling gel and instead of being gentle, she just put on a huge amount and left it there, and I was left to wipe it off because it was about to enter my eyes. She never once smiled at me & she just seems overall lazy and doesn't care about doing a good job. I was looking forward to finding an eyebrow threader to be my regular choice in Stockton, but alas, the search begins again. read more

I came in to get my brows fixed after another salon left them uneven and not the same thickness on each side. Rashma was able to squeeze me in the same day right before closing and got me taken care of faster than I expected. It's been a while since I've had my brows threaded as I usually stick to getting them waxed, but Rashma was patient and understanding even as I kept wincing while she worked. I got my eyebrows waxed, for the 3rd time in my life, in february. after that, the person told me to grow out my brows. i grew out my brows for 2.5 months, and tried to get an appointment with them, but they were busy, and i had a wedding to look fresh for that week. what to do?! yelp to the rescue! i searched, and read reviews. i have seen threading kiosks before, and saw what it entailed, but never went through with it. i read rashma's reviews, and was impressed. i read that she has groupon offers, so i checked groupon. her regular rates are reasonable. if i didn't know of the groupon offer, i would have been satisfied with the regular price. i bought one eye brow threading session (which included an upper lip threading also), and immediately called her to schedule an appointment. it was a tuesday, and i asked if she had anything available the next day, or thursday. she had an opening for thursday, and i accepted. i arrived early, of course. her station is located inside the serendipity salon. the hair dressers were friendly, as they worked on their clients. rashma was finishing up a client, and i was immediately in the chair. she has a warm, friendly vibe to her, so i immediately knew i wasn't going to regret this decision. she asked if i had my eye brows threaded before, and i said no. she explained the process and got to work on the caterpillars on my forehead. it kind of hurt, but that's expected when you get hairs plucked from your skin. she took her time, and asked me if i was ok, during the process. before i knew it, she was finished with my brows and was moving along to my upper lip. i didn't think i needed my upper lip done, but when i got home, i noticed a difference, and i think i might continue with that service. :) i love LOVE that she sends reminder text messages. i have an appointment today, and the previous days i forgot what the exact time it was for. this morning, around 9AM, i received the reminder text from rashma, confirming the appointment, and i am so grateful for her reminder texts! i will continue to see her. i don't think i will ever wax my brows again! thank you, rashma. :) read more

Fast forward to January 2018, I'm back in the area so I made an appointment with Rashma right away. The place I'd been going to in Sacramento to get threaded, I thought was doing a good job. Tuh, Rashma is on a whole different level. She helped me grow my eyebrows back in fully, the fullest they've been in years and it only took a few months. She is so highly skilled. She knows exactly how to shape to your face, what not to thread so they can grow in and she's super quick & has such a kind demeanor. Anytime I need to be squeezed in on short notice, she fits me in. I have very thin eyebrows (I have to fill in) so I'm always scared that salons might leave them too thin, luckily she did A great job.
