They told us we didn't need an architect - that as a design/build firm they could accomplish what we wanted for a lot less than using a separate architect and builder. I was a bit skeptical at first. We weren't just redoing a bathroom - we were doing a total house overhaul. But brothers Matt and Drew have since convinced me. They did a great job working through all the design tradeoffs with us, with a realistic perspective on what those tradeoffs were doing to the project cost. Now that construction has begun in earnest, everything is still progressing nicely. On-site lead Andy does the work of 2 or 3 normal construction guys, without compromising on quality, and while maintaining a gracious go-the-extra-mile attitude. Everyone I know has had nothing but misery in trying to find a good contractor - dealing with surprise price increases, broken appointments, blown off schedules, blatant lies, shoddy workmanship, etc. We've had none of that with LeFaivre ... and so far, there's no reason to think that we ever will. If anything changes by the end of the project, we'll update the review, but so far: Highly Recommended.

They were efficient and clean in their installation, covering the floor, so as not to leave footprints and vacuuming up afterwards. After researching many local contractors, we selected Central Maryland Sunrooms. This reputable company is family owned and has served the area for many years. They do their own installation meaning they control the most important part of the job. It's one reason their work is done so well. We hired this company for the following work: (1) to remodel our home-built porch into a modern and beautiful sunroom, (2) to build us a side porch to cover an exit door that had none. (They did such a good job, it is hard to tell it is an add on.), and (3) to replace our bow window and front door with units of higher quality. They did a beautiful job transforming all of these. They worked quickly, showed up reliably, kept us informed, and cleaned up after themselves daily. This company is professional and reasonably priced. In the near future, we will engage their services again to replace all of the home's windows and interior doors. Of the four contractors contacted, Wesly responded quickly and was at our house the next day asking all the right questions. we also discussed two other projects, more in just passing, but interested in what she would come back with. Within a day, she came back with a series of quotes, one for the stair job we needed, which was very reasonable and for a design that worked very well. Her team showed up the next day and were efficient and very detailed. Our three step project was done in a day and looked great! Although we told Wesly the price on the other patio resurface project was a bit more than we were ready to take on, didn't stop her from finding another option that cut the cost using a ceramic tile that offered better wear, more color options and a design that better matched our house. We could afford that! We were also able to redo a ghastly concrete step from our den that a prior owner bought at Home Depot and dumped in place. Wasn't to code either. The Team was back out and did a marvelous job! They were there three days, morning to late evening getting the job done.
