My husband and I usually don't like them. He said if they tasted like that when he was younger, he would have at them. They had biscuits and gravy. The gravy was a good flavor, not floury, or sticky. It was just missing the sausage. There was sausage and bacon available on the buffet. The buffet had sliced prime beef, Canadian bacon, a very tasty fajita meat (no tortillas for it), French toast, pancakes, green beans, salad, fettuccine Alfredo, cheesy scrambled eggs, and other selections. They had dishes for all ages!!

The service was nice and they were very attentive, and I loved the small town tavern motif. And that was where the pleasantries stop. Now let discuss the food. Thankfully we only got appetizers. We settled with the tin can bbq nachos and a pound of naked wings. I'm not quite sure what can they pulled the nachos out of but they probably should have just went ahead and left them in it. They were salty and the meat had a weird tang to it( perhaps cinnamon, but I'm not sure. The wings had more fat than chicken on them so there is that. So if you are feeling adventurous and looking for an out of the way little bar in a small town this might be your kind of place, but it is a definite no for this guy.

The menu is interesting with good variety (though, if you look closely, you'll find they serve meatloaf in at least three different formats?). I opted for the turkey sandwich, which is includes bacon jam, cranberry chutney, brie and an aioli on toasted white bread. It was delicious and flavorful. I got the tater tots as my side, which were underwhelming. They were mushy and extremely salty. Our service was less than stellar. Our server may have had too many tables or she was simply in the weeds, but we didn't get much attention. We had to ask for water refills and eventually flag her down for our checks even though all of our plates had been cleared. I'd say it's worth a stop if you're in the area, especially if you like craft beer and bourbon.
