Went in for dinner one evening. Found two open seats at the bar. Place was packed. Typical pub…read moreatmosphere. Service was sufficient. They were doing the best they could with the staff they had for the crowd they had. Ordered the beaded tenderloin. Holy smokes was it huge. Took half for leftovers. It was one of the better tenderloins I've had recently. Would definitely go back. Based on watching orders coming out of the kitchen, the tenderloin It's the thing everyone gets. Will definitely return.

My first review was taken down for some reason. So here we go again…read more. I actually went back to this establishment a few times because I wanted to give Stout's Irish Pub the benefit of the doubt. I thought maybe the first experience was just an off day for the waitresses. Unfortunately, after going back, I realized it wasn't a one-time thing. Each time, I've found the service to be rude, dismissive, and generally unwelcoming. There seems to be a select group of staff who are very close with certain customers and will spend their time talking with and befriending them, while other customers are seemingly ignored. I've also noticed staff spending a lot of time on their phones or sitting at the bar instead of checking on customers. The overall attitude from some of the staff gives off major "mean girl" energy. It's especially noticeable because there was a newer staff member during my most recent visit who was genuinely kind, attentive, and good at her job. I really enjoyed interacting with her, and she honestly stood out from the rest in the best way. The food is just okay and, in my opinion, lacks flavor. If you order it to go, expect it to be pretty soggy by the time you get home. I gave this place multiple chances because I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately the repeated poor service and mediocre food have completely turned me off. I won't be returning.

I've been to Front Street a few times now and overall I've had a pretty good experience. The…read moreservice has been good most of the time, especially when it's not super busy. There have been a couple times where it felt a little slower, but nothing too bad. The food is definitely the best part though. My favorite thing there is the pork nachos, they're honestly really good and I would go back just for those. The portion is big and the flavor is really good, so it's easy to share but also hard not to eat all of it. Overall I'd say it's a solid place to go, especially if you're looking for something casual with good food. I'd definitely come back again.

Thanks Yelp, we found a gem! We were in Rock island, IL and were looking for a spot for lunch. I…read moresearched Yelp and came across Front Street Pub and Eatery. We made the 10 minute drive to downtown Davenport and found the place with easy parking right across the street. This a neat spot near the Mississippi River and in an old brick building. The restaurant was rustic industrial and very clean and pleasing. We were greeted and took a seat near the window where we could view the river area. Our server was quite attentive. I ordered the smoked Gouda burger and cheese curds and my wife ordered the chicken strip basket. Our food arrived in a quick manner. The burger was awesome. The Gouda cheese was creamy and the burger and grilled onions were hot and fresh. The cheese curds were hot and fresh and came with a side of house made ranch dressing. My wife enjoyed the chicken strips that appeared hand breaded and she really liked the hush puppies (yes, we time time for the hush puppies). This was a pleasant change from the other meals we had on this trip. If your are in the area, give it a try. The photo of my meal almost didn't happen because I was enjoying it so much.

A thinner soup but the flavor was delectable! The Scottish egg was over the top with a beautiful curry aioli sauce. The sausage encasing the egg was neither greasy or salty but packed with flavor. I would definitely order it again! My husband loved his fish and chips! The music by a gentleman whose last name was Herr was fantastic! Loved the whole vibe!

It has a lot more room than expected with enough space for live music. As for the drinks and food they're good stuff also. The prices can be high but it's not crazy for the atmosphere and quality. Basically this is one of the first places one encounters when entering town from the east. It's located in the Irish Cottage Inn & Suites. The hotel itself is very nice and has lots of amenities of its own if wanting to stay there. As for the restaurant itself it's one of the highlights. It's about $8 for an Irish coffee, which is a classic in the morning, evening, or whenever. Amazingly they have non dairy options including Bailey's Dairy Free Toffee Cream. It's about $18 or more for an entree which is a lot. We were able to find a few plant based options. I got the Roasted Squash Bowl. This has broccolini, farro, heirloom tomato relish, pickled red cabbage, and white beech mushrooms. An earthy flavor. She had the Vegan Shepherd's Pie. An alternative made with faux beef and mushroom gravy There's also plenty of meaty options like beef medallions. For sure it's one of the nicer restaurants around here. It's closed Mondays. They amazingly have a few things for vegans and vegetarians.
