I would not suggest this location to anyone & I hate saying this period. I went here and waited over 15 for a simple 4oz drink that was near $20... I cannot tell you how long we waited for the food.. which was fish tacos and ceviche'. They were also out of chicken before 3pm. The people we were with were in from Chicago and were driving back right after this meal made it a point to mention the price & lack of service.. For this price in the Midwest you better receive epic service, and organic local food... that was not our experience.* The only thing I truly liked was the live music. And outdoor seating. Avoid the onion soup they have their own recipe and it is just awful and doesn't taste like onion soup. It tastes like the inside of an old bone that's been rotting on the counter for a while but then that's just my opinion. read more

What an amazing neighborhood find. This place has a really cool vibe for a restaurant found in a neighborhood strip center! There's a nice outside patios seating area and an upstairs that can be reserved for parties. The inside area is nice centered around the bar. Met a coworker here for a late dinner on a Monday night. It was surprisingly quiet and chill. The interior was very clean. We sat at the bar and got friendly service from the staff. The beer selection was solid and their drink menu had a lot of options to explore. The menu is pretty simple. It really focuses on small dishes. I came in wanting to try a bunch of oysters but pivoted to edamame, nigiri and temaki rolls. I'm pretty well versed in Japanese cuisine and have had temaki before, but not like this. They have an updated style about it. Taco format makes them more appealing somehow. I will 100% try them again. I want them to make more options. My nigiri combo was simple, straightforward -3/4" wide by 2" long by 1/4" thick cuts. I would've loved to see some more variety combo of diverse cuts (unagi, tamago, saba, akami). The only slight negative feedback I have is: 1) the nigiri knife work was rough and on the small side (not pictured), 2) the edamame was light on salt/flavor but was cooked perfect, 3) value - cost was definitely on the higher end per portion size - even for sushi. I've been here twice in one year. The service is good and it was fun. I ordered the French onion soup, which has been bragged about online as a new recipe supposedly by this restaurant it reminded me of swamp sludge with three times the amount of salt A normal bowl of soup requires. I did eat the cheese that was melted on top and that's all I could stomach. It was dark, brown, thick, not tasty, and extremely salty. My friend ordered the same thing I did and I noticed she did not finish her bowl of soup either. Neither one of us said anything because we were with a dozen people and didn't want to distract from the experience . Now, I've had French onion soup at two other popular restaurants in the Quad cities, and I've always loved it, so I know what good French onion soup should taste like. this was something from another portal of existence. read more

It wasn't where we were planning to eat, but drove by and we liked that it had outdoor seating. So glad we did! I had the Maine Lobster roll and it was just like being back in Bar Harbor. Lots of fresh lobster, authentically seasoned. I chose the coleslaw as my side and it was probably the best one I have ever had. I loved the pickled red onions in it. I had the cucumber margarita( actually I had 3), and it had just the right kick and not overtaken by the cucumber. My husband had the carnitas tacos and the aloete for his side and he loved the heat! He had an Old Fashioned made with Woodford Reserve Bourbon, made perfectly with orange bitters. Our server was excellent and food came out quickly and drinks were refilled promptly. The lobster roll was poorly executed and was small. The kitchen was slow and so was the service.

We were looking forward to trying the food. The cocktails we had on a different evening were very good. We ordered the smoked wings which tasted decent but were overcooked, the homemade blue cheese was very good. I ordered the crab and corn quesadilla, wish I hadn't. The crab was overcooked and not fresh which made the whole thing not taste good. We may return if they change their menu, but the prices are expensive as well. read more

Terrible overpriced food. Worse service. Strobe lights and loud club music while trying to eat a rubbery lobster roll ruined the evening.

While the drinks were good and the interior was nice and clean, the music choice threw us off. It sounded more like a club than a trendy upscale restaurant. Most unfortunate was that neither of us enjoyed the food we ordered. The lobster roll was so salty and over seasoned that we couldn't eat it. read more
