Our child had a cleaning, and told us , it was not a very good cleaning , and felt like it was done too quickly. Did not feel as smooth and clean as in past. That was a first. She was personable and didn't ask you a ton of awkward questions while she's cleaning your teeth. Another thing to note is that about a year ago they got new equipment, which was a major improvement. The assistant was also more than willing to answer my questions about whitening, which I greatly appreciated. Overall my visit today actually exceeded my expectations and has helped me to view the establishment in a more positive light.

A Perfectionist. I…read moream writing this review for Rita Tempel and associates. I am 37 years old and had not seen a dentist since I was 20 years old. The reason for my initial visit was because a sensitive spot on one of my wisdom teeth - they needed to be removed. She was quick to have an oral surgeon refered to me and set up for the removal process. I had also gotten Periodontal gum disease due to not seeing a dentist and having plaque buildup below the gums. She had been able to set up a treatment plan that included deep root scaling to remove the plaque, teeth cleaning, periodontal disease treatment, stain removal, and finally resin fillings. The treatment plan has taken the entirety of 2025 to complete and I am on my way to the last appointment! The process was slowed on my end and visitations had to be spread out due to no dental insurance. I was able to work with them to open an account and take advantage of 6 month no interest promotional plans per visitation instead of paying a full lump sum out of pocket. Will recommend as she is a perfectionist and takes her time to ensure that the disease has recessed and no longer evident before doing the fillings. The resin is not noticeable as the color matching has a wide range to choose from. No pain - no stereotypical dentist inducing fear. It is an in an out experience for a perfect appointment. Don't wait too late even if you have no insurance to schedule with her as there is a reason why she has won awards in the area and has a solid backlog with quite the team to help her out with appointments. Appreciate your work and will see you later this month for my final treatment! -Brandon S

We are always on top of our Oral Health and being new to the area and after looking for a Dentist near by we came upon Dentistry at Hagerstown. We scheduled our appointments and arrived at our scheduled time. The Front Team Amber and Katie we so nice and pleasant. They welcomed us as if we were family. From there we began our journey we were greeted by the hygienist Herna(excuse me if i mispelled) who in my case took me back for xrays. She was thorough and also very nice. Just to let ya know I am PETRIFIED of Dentists. Well an amazing experience after my xrays and cleaning I was greeted by Dr. Weir for my final inspection. She too was so nice and explained to me everything going on in my Mouth. Im proud to say all is well. Simple Summary of above, If you need a dentist I would Highly Recommend Dr. Weir and her "A" team. Honorable mention to Rodrigo & Alexis Ron

Went to Dr. Weir for a routine cleaning. They wanted to do multiple X-rays including a panoramic…read morebefore they even looked in my mouth. No exam no clinical evaluation nothing. Just straight to imaging before a single instrument touched my teeth. I declined because there was no clinical reason to image me yet. They hadn't even examined me. The ADA's own guidelines updated January 2026 say X-rays should only be ordered after a clinical exam establishes a reason. You can't justify imaging a patient you haven't looked at yet. That's not dentistry that's a revenue protocol. When I declined they refused to proceed with the cleaning I came in for. They would not clean my teeth unless they got their X-ray money first. So a routine cleaning was held hostage behind unnecessary imaging I never consented to as part of that visit. They had already taken the panoramic before I had a chance to fully decline it then charged me for it anyway when I walked out. When I pushed back the dentist tried to justify it by saying "digital X-rays give off less radiation than the old ones." That's a true fact used to dodge the real question. Less radiation doesn't mean you need the image. The question was whether there was any clinical reason to X-ray me at all and the answer was no because they hadn't even looked in my mouth yet. Here's the part that should actually worry people. The panoramic X-ray machine is visible from the waiting room. No shielding. No lead walls. No separated room. There's also an X-ray machine mounted in every single exam room. No lead-lined doors. Nothing. Every person sitting in that waiting room including kids is potentially catching scatter radiation every time they image someone. Dental X-ray rooms are required by state radiation safety regulations to have structural shielding. This office doesn't appear to have any. This isn't healthcare it's a billing conveyor with a radiation safety problem on top. They image every patient who sits in the chair because the panoramic machine needs to keep paying for itself. A panoramic runs $100-$250 and costs them basically nothing to produce once the equipment is paid off. Nearly pure profit and they won't even clean your teeth unless you let them run it first. I have reported this office to the Maryland Department of the Environment Radiological Health Program for the unshielded radiation equipment. I will file a complaint with the Maryland Board of Dental Examiners for requiring imaging with no clinical exam and charging for an X-ray taken before informed consent. I will file a health billing complaint with the Maryland Attorney General Consumer Protection Division for the unauthorized charge. If you've been to this office and had a similar experience I'd encourage you to do the same.
