We returned the next day for them to perform a root canal and make a temporary crown for our son. The temporary crown looks so amazing that no one believes that it's not our son's natural tooth. Longer version: I called to see if the office could get me in earlier for my appointment for a crown, which I had made a month previous. They called me back to say that I needed to see an endodontist prior my appointment for the crown, which had already been scheduled. I called the endodontist and couldn't get an appointment until after the scheduled crown appointment. When I called the office back to explain this, they wanted to push out the crown appointment. I gave them feedback that it would have been helpful to be told about the need to see the endodontist prior to scheduling the crown appointment. The office manager dropped me as a patient, telling me that I wasn't happy with the practice and that I should find somewhere else. Clearly, they didn't care about an existing patient who was experiencing dental pain, who they had seen and established a treatment plan. Now, I have to start all over again with finding another dentist who will have to do their own evaluation prior to defining a treatment plan.

I broke down and realized I needed help. Fortunately, I stumbled upon Dr. Gonsman. Aside from being very close to my home, he brought me in hours within me calling to schedule an appt. I waited less than 3 minutes in the waiting room to get back to the exam room. His assistant took me back and took my xrays. Everyone was extremely friendly. The Dr came in and was very pleasant. He talked to me through the entire exam and gave me soooo much helpful info. and my cleaning was great too. He showed me on my xrays exactly where and what i needed done. He gave me the option between silver and composite fillings and explained each very clearly, making sure to let me know the composites may cost a little more. I opted for the composites for their color, and To my surprise, the composites were incredibly afforable even with my insurance paying only a little over half. A week later he put in my 5 composites, and although I was extremely anxious being that I've never had fillings, they did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and had as little pain as possible. He talked to me through the procedure, allowed my husband to be around for my comfort and made sure to let me know to tell him if I had any pain at all during and stopped as soon as I had any and took care of it. He took his time on my teeth and they turned out beautifully. After it was all said and done they made payment arrangements with me and my tight budget to pay off my work(which was a great price, even with me being on unemployment) This was an absolutely wonderful experience for me and for the first time in my life Im EXCITED to go back to the dentist. I will definitely be recommending Dr Gonsman to friends and family. This is how dentistry should be. Comfortable. Inviting. Informative. Thorough.

Conveniently located several miles north of town, the office has decent parking spots, a competent front office people, and great dental hygienists ( I have Beth). My experience with 2 different dentists has been quite good as well. I filled out an online questionnaire prior to my initial visit approximately 18 months ago and saw questions such as "on a scale of 1 to 10, how happy are you with your smile?". TBH, I was concerned that I'd been encouraged to get braces, veneers, and caps, however bone of that happened and there was no pressure to do anything. I did have a cracked tooth which required attention and am pleased with the results. Overall, a great place to receive dental care! 5 stars!
