I got all my cartilage piercings done here (a total of 4) and belly button piercing. The first time was when I got my double helix done. I was charged $110+tax, then waited a few minutes for the piercer, was marked by her, reviewed her suggested piercing area, and after approval, got my piercings. Pain level for the first wasn't bad. You get that very distinct and memorable ear POP sound. The second consecutive piercing was a lot more painful than the first since blood was already rushed to the ear from the first piercing. I didn't have a cell phone at the time so I put my best friend's as my contact info. The first time went well. They seem to be a family run business and the women there kept calling me "bella". It was a time where you would be able to get a discount if you told them the verbal "code" they revealed on facebook. The second time I came over was a year later to get my rook done and it was seamless and honestly the most painless piercing I've ever had done. I remember paying $55 for this at the time, which is a fairly reasonable rate when compared to the closest piercing/tattoo studio in Woodbridge that charged almost double for a single piercing. Compared to Toronto prices, this fee was just slightly higher at that time, but I came here because I was in the area with my friends. The third time I arrived was for my belly button piercing. This time my piercing healed very poorly and scarred (I still have the scar). My body rejected the piercing within 3 weeks of having it pierced. The same thing happened to my friend who got hers pierced at the same time, so it's hard to think it was a coincidence. If I remember correctly, the belly piercing was somewhere $65 to $80 + tax. My friend eventually came back half a year later to get hers repierced and her body again rejected the piercing within 3 weeks. I would advise to go elsewhere if you want a belly piercing...I also noticed they never changed my contact info after giving them my cell number when I got my rook done. The fourth time I arrived was for my daith. When I asked for it at the counter, the piercer didn't know which piercing I was talking about and had to google it (this should have been a red flag). She had trouble piercing me with a straight needle (generally, since a daith is so internal, you need a curved needle). The needle was in my ear for a good 2 minutes before she was able to get the jewelry in. I loved this piercing, but she pierced it too outwards and my body rejected it within 3 weeks again. I was very disappointed. When I accompanied my friend to a reputable tattoo/piercing shop downtown, that was when I met people with over 10+ years' experience dedicated to the art, and who actually knew what a daith piercing was. Their aftercare instructions were also a lot more thorough than "don't touch it and soak it in sea salt". Overall, I have a mixed opinion on Planet Silver. Definitely great for regular helix piercings, but I'd go elsewhere for more complex cartilage piercings and belly button piercings.

Isabel's portfolio is actually super cute - I think she definitely needs to set a neo-traditional niche because her thick linework is clean without blowouts which is hard to achieve. She is definitely going far in this field. Ben has also tattooed me and he is very light-handed so it barely hurt at all. Also his realism pieces are actually insane - give him 10 years, he is definitely going to be famous in this game. My friend has also gotten pierced here and the piercer Taylor was so so so experienced, clean and definitely knew what she was doing. I've heard her talk to all sorts of clients and you can tell she's been piercing for awhile. (which is a green flag). She's dope AF too. I'm definitely coming back! He was very patient and informative with my daughter for her to choose what she wanted. She chose beautiful champagne colored studs He then advised us that he needs to sanitize and prep his station and the jewelry so it would be about 10 minutes. My daughter and I went back downstairs and waited a bit. After he was finished, he took us to his room and explained the process in detail to my daughter all along the way. He marked my daughter's ears and then measured her ear lobes and showed her where the earrings would be placed. Everything was sterilized and each needle is only used once and then disposed of properly. My daughter did have anxiety but didn't really show it, especially after the first ear lobe was done. James advised her how to breathe each time he would pierce her ear and she followed his directions. Again, he was very patient and professional. He gave her after care instructions and a cleanser. Since we are only visiting from Vegas, he told us to send an email about any follow ups regarding the posts in her ears if we wanted them shorter after they healed. He said he would reach out to his contacts in Vegas to help with this when the time comes. We were both very happy with the experience and my daughter was ecstatic with her new piercing. If we hadn't been lucky to get an amazing and courteous artist the first time we visted (Nelson), I probably would have never gone back. My wife and I walked in to get a consult about a cover up on my wife's hand. Nelson, the artist we wanted was busy with appointments. The shop owner, Rodney, noticed us and said he could do the tattoo that very night. We weren't expecting to get the tattoo right away, but him being the shop owner and lead artist, we thought we were lucky for this opportunity. What we got was a nightmare full of harassment instead. To keep this from getting far too descriptive and out of hand, we weren't happy with the cover up done by Rodney. My wife's hand was scarred because Rodney decided to christen his new rotary tattoo machine on my wife. The outline he did with the machine left a raised scar. The design was all swollen and didn't look quite right, but we were told to let it heal. We were offered the customary free touch up should there be issues with the tattoo healing. When we returned to the shop the week after, the owner refused to touch up the tattoo. Instead, his response to our dissatisfaction with his work was to insult my wife in front of other clients, and call her horrible names that I will not mention here. That was our last visit to the shop. One may think that this may have been an extraordinary case, but our previous observations at the shop should have clued us in to an experience like this. To whoever is reading this review and is considering getting a tattoo here, be warned.
