They've had a very high turnover for teachers in the 4 and 5 class and felt our son was not being prepared academically for kindergarten. Since Ms. Mandee left last year, there has not been consistency. Teachers leave after a few weeks. Ms. Daisy, Ms. Alana and Ms Sarah are wonderful with the children don't get me wrong and they are the glue that are holding this school together. The teachers were very understaffed as far as ratio to students. There were times I would pick up my son and the students are out of control and the teacher would look stressed out or overhelmed. You have the same disorderly children causing ruckus in the class. The last straw was when my son came home with marker on his face and so did three of his other classmates. Where was the supervision? Again, lack of staff.I do not blame the teachers but management for not hiring the needed staff. My son came home one day with a small puncture wound behind his ear from another chiId throwing a toy at his head and bruises because the kids couldnt keep their hands to themselves.I caught this when I was giving him his bath and the area was swollen with dried blood. No incident report was done on this. I felt it was more of a daycare and not a pre k program. When we did the tour, the owner stated that they will be teaching Spanish and sign language. Not the case. Snacks were generic Walmart brands and not the fresh, in house meals promised. Not to mention the tuition was much more expensive than the other schools in the area at over 285 a week.During rainy days, the children would watch movies on a small fire tablet instead of a regular television or having activities to do. Screen time is limited at home. You have 15 -20 kids trying to watch a 9 by 11 inch screen! I would think the owner would invest in a television instead of having 15+ kids watching a fire tablet.During the assessment at another school, the teacher even asked us what was being taught because our son was very behind as far as being prepared for kindergarten. Not a good sign.We were also still charged the 2 weeks for pulling our son out early. !!!Please be careful with these reviews and do your research. While my son was attending, they would hold raffles for tickets for good reviews and reviews from people that have left 5 star reviews for other KA locations!!! .Thankfully, we were able to get him into a great school and we couldnt be happier Academically, my son is excelling and he is happy with his new teachers. I feel much more confident that he is being prepared for kindergarten. My only regret not pulling him out sooner.

My toddler loves her teachers and her classmates, and she has learned so much within the last 6 months. She even can put on her jacket by herself. Each week they are doing different activities according a theme and my toddler never gets bored. Another reason, why I have chosen this school is the design and equipment of the Montessori classrooms. Many preschools advertise the Montessori approach, but actually they do only an adaption of the concept or do not have all the Montessori Toys. This school really follows the original Montessori concept by Maria Montessori. You just need to take a look at the classrooms and observe via the television, what your toddler is doing during the school day. Besides, this school has excellent state inspection results without any incidents, which is rare. The school fees are also more than fair in comparison to other Montessori Schools in Irving, which I am thankful for.

My son was enrolled in Guidepost Flower Mound's Spanish Immersion program for 18 months, and we rarely went more than a month without a major change or staff turnover. We stayed as long as we did because the Guides caring for our son were excellent, but they have all since left the school. Over time, it became apparent that there were significant issues behind the scenes. The atmosphere among staff often felt tense, and the administration was not transparent with families about changes affecting the school. Important decisions were typically communicated only after they had already been made. We ultimately decided to withdraw when the school announced the closure of the Spanish Immersion program. The announcement was sent to parents on a Friday evening and gave just two weeks' notice that children would be separated into existing classes. It offered only vague suggestions about future Spanish language instruction. There was no attempt to consult with parents beforehand, despite administrators stating the program had been under review for months. Attempts to seek clarification afterward were met with vague responses rather than clear answers. The final disappointment has been the handling of our deposit. In March, both the Head of School and administrators at TNC Schools confirmed in writing that our deposit would be returned. Several months later, we are still waiting. There has been no communication since March and no explanation for the delay. It is difficult to understand why a commitment made clearly and explicitly in writing has not been honored. Having toured many Montessori schools in the area, my impression is that Guidepost is priced as a premium option for local families. While every family must decide for themselves whether that cost is justified, our experience of constant staff turnover, program instability, poor communication, lack of transparency, and the school's failure to follow through on its written commitment to return our deposit did not reflect the level of professionalism and stability we expected. Following our withdrawal, Guidepost Montessori confirmed in writing that we were owed a refund totaling $2,156, including deposits and an overpayment. We were told a refund check had been requested. Unfortunately, nearly four months passed without receiving any refund, despite repeated follow-ups. We contacted school administration, regional management, and were later informed that refunds were being handled by a new entity after a change in ownership. Even after being redirected and providing all documentation again, we received no payment and no response for an extended period of time. The lack of accountability, communication, and professionalism--especially after concerns related to our child's well-being--has been extremely disappointing and stressful for our family. A school that promotes trust, care, and Montessori values should demonstrate the same responsibility in how it treats families, both emotionally and financially. I strongly encourage prospective families to ask very detailed questions about administration stability, classroom oversight, and refund policies before enrolling.
