Update on my previous review for Dr. Cyra. My first review…read morewas from our experience in helping my son navigate the ARD and Special Education process at Frisco ISD. Dr. Cyra was indispensable in helping us get through that process, and based part on her efforts, my son graduated and is now moving onto college at University of North Texas. He picked that school partly based on the reputation of how they treated students with disabilities. IMHO, this reputation is unfounded. Our experience with UNT has been exhausting. The process to get into the system as a disabled student was relatively easy. From there it has not been easy. It seems like the Office of Disability Access exists solely to mitigate civil rights complaints, and they appear to do the absolute minimum in a bureaucratic manner that is more befitting a trip to the DMV with apparently no consideration that they are dealing with students that have disabilities and are already starting off at a disadvantage. Fortunately, our son has an advocate in Dr. Cyra. Starting just before school and extending into the first part of my son's first semester, she was able rectify the situation. Through experience and expertise she was able to get the Office of Disability Access focus on our son's needs and treat him like a human being rather that just another student that they were required to help because of Federal Law. If you have a student with disabilities that is struggling to get through the system, Dr. Cyra is your guiding light. Our son would be lost in the system without her.

My daughter completed Littles thru Pre-K, and my son has done the same. We are so pleased with the school that we've chosen to enroll our son in Transitional Kindergarten instead of sending him straight to public kindergarten. There's not a day that I have to coax my son into going to school because he knows a fun and engaging day is ahead of him. Add on the festive themed days, fun lunches and a flexible stay and play option after school, there's not more I could ask for from this gem of a preschool, and we are so grateful to have found it 7 years ago.

Having worked in the school district and knowing many friends in the education field, I've seen firsthand the challenges within the system. That's why enrolling my children at KidZ World Preschool has been the biggest blessing I could ask for. The teachers here don't just do their jobs--they serve with their hearts. Their love for each child is evident in everything they do, and it brings me so much peace knowing my children are in such caring and capable hands. From the way they nurture and support each child to the time and effort they put into creating a safe and loving environment, I couldn't be more grateful. In less than a year, we've seen our 3rd grader go from a Pre-K reading level to now nearly his grade level. He now has the tools to work through his ongoing challenges with reading. The lexercise program is a good mix of practice, repetition, games, and rewards, but the real secret has been Amanda. Her patient, caring, motivating approach has made such a huge impact in our son. She is simply amazing!

He…read morewent to Robotics 101 camp and he loved it so much that on day two he was dressed, teeth brushed, and shoes on at 10a.m. (Camp started at noon!)....I am going to sign him up for the video game/coding class next. The ONLY negative I might be able to add is the security of the facility...maybe it's because they aren't dealing with very small children so it isn't a big deal but anyone could be dropping my son off or picking him up. There's no monitoring at all. But it's not that big a deal to me I just thought I should mention it for others.

When I signed my child in the first day, he told me not to fill out the form providing information on the students, saying "I don't want to be responsible for any of that". He is completely unwilling to engage with parents in any discussion. In the case of my child, he complained to me through a third party of bad behavior without any detail and without speaking to me personally. After I called his boss to complain he asked me to remove my child from the program without giving me a chance to correct the alleged problem. He expects students under 12 to sit in adult folding chairs for 90 minutes without a break and without fidgeting. He has no tolerance for boisterous behavior by 10-12 year olds. He obviously hates working with children and should not be trusted in an instructional situation with kids.

We had done ABA therapy for a couple years prior to moving out to Texas with limited results, but our son has made so much progress and mastered so many goals over the last year that he's no longer in a special needs classroom in school and his teachers are recommending him for the Gifted and Talented program. The staff and therapists are amazing - I couldn't recommend them any higher.
