Aarti and the entire staff have been great to work with and I would recommend this center to anyone…read morelooking to give their child some extra help and development. Our son has been in the program for over year. He is in there 2 times per week (1hr each session). He started out a little behind going into 1st grade and is now halfway through 2nd. His reading is now beyond grade level and he is doing excellent in math. His overall grades are in the high 90s (worst subject was 96). I am confident to say that without Gideon we would still be playing a bit of "catch-up." My personal opinion...you do have to put the work in at home. If you are expecting a "miracle" after a month or two, I honestly do not think any learning center will fit the bill. It takes time and dedication to make sure our son is doing the work at home and prepared for the next challenge at class. (Yes we do trade Gideon homework for electronics time!) Again, this is a great center and I would highly recommend.

I'm very happy so far! We are very pleased to join this center although we have to commute from Plano but it's worth it. My daughter started to be independent and can solve the problems in math by herself, her writing has improved as well as the sounds! Aarti, I haven't met you yet but my husband and I very grateful to you and to your teachers, please take her sister Aya too!!! I have tried kumon (multiple centers in Plano) before and was complete failure. Didn't like their curriculum, neither the way of teaching. The experience was terrible for the amount of money you pay. My daughter will be there for 5-10 minutes with many other kids per teacher without consistency or care about student progression and then will send her home with meaningless homeworks. So far we LOVE Gideon (although you have to be committed for the tremendous amount of work at home) so far we don't regret it!

When applying to undergraduate programs, I worked with numerous college admissions counselors that…read moretended to induce, rather than alleviate, the stress associated with the application process. They would place me on a strict schedule based on the number of sessions I purchased and were so caught up in writing what they thought college admissions boards would want to read that I ended up submitting personal statements that were not so personal. With that said, Sean is not your typical college admissions counselor. He treated me like an actual person, not just a paycheck. At our first session, Sean took the time to simply talk to me and figure out what drove me to this particular career path. He then helped me channel my passion into an eloquent, interesting general personal statement that was later tailored to four different graduate programs. In working with Sean, I did not get just a personal statement, I got complete application support. He gave me his cellphone number and encouraged me to text him with any questions between sessions. He was always quick to respond and would also text me to check-in on my progress. This type of regular communication allowed us to get the small details out of the way and focus on the more important aspects of each application during our face-to-face meetings. Applying to graduate school is overwhelming, but Sean made the process nearly stress-free. I believe his genuine interest in my success was key to writing a personal statement that stood out in a pile of cookie cutter essays. It feels so good to say that I was ACCEPTED TO ALL four graduate programs I applied to and will be attending my dream school starting this fall. Next time I need support on any type of professional application, I will not hesitate to contact Sean and you should too!

I also am currently in AP Pre-Calculus and can calculate change in seconds. I also taught my younger sister math with a calm demeanour. This centre doesnt help kids. I went in today to ask about a job. There was a short girl with dimples at the front desk. She told me that i wasn't good enough for this position and was very mean. She told me they don't hire in person and only online afterwards she yelled at me to get out. She should be working there. She is always talking to the kids and parents not helping the manager. She has OCD, organizing paper by color (only yellow and green!!) wasting the company's money instead of getting actual work done. If I worked there I would talk minimally to the parents/kids and focus on my job. I would hire more nicer people (people with similar qualities to me though that's hard to find) - people who can pronounce their own name error-free, unlike the girl I talked to today. I think the company will realize this soon and maybe will consider replacing this girl; maybe I will fix things then. The business is great - just not the girl who helps the manager. She does not care about the students at all. I am a fixer, I will do things better.
