GradePower Learning Frisco is phenomenal! We learned about it through our son's school. We started tutoring for our 8th grade son in February. Even before we began our tutoring sessions we were impressed with the level of attention, detail, and customer service we received from Lloyd and his team during our initial introduction to their services through the Cognitive Student Assessment conducted on our sons. The time they took to assess their learning styles, strengths, areas of needed improvement. They were able to pinpoint not only the educational deficiencies and strengths, but the emotional influences affecting their learning as well. I have used different tutoring services. The difference between the other experiences and GradePower Learning is that they address the "whole person" when it comes to tutoring, which is so important in any educational environment. We received a thorough written synopsis and report as well as a scheduled meeting to go over every aspect of the assessment. Because of the report we are better able to understand how to assist our sons based on how they learn and what they need to thrive as well as be strong advocates for them at school by arming ourselves and their teachers with the information they needed to effectively and specifically teach our children. We were in after that! Our 8th grade son was struggling in Algebra in the fall. He typically did not have issues with math and loves the subject. He has a goal of becoming an engineer and inventor, so we know math is an essential component to reaching that goal. We decided to focus on math and science at the tutoring center to give him some support. At the time we began at the tutoring center in February he had received a "C" on his last semester report card. My son was getting discouraged and starting to question whether he should pursue engineering. We set a goal, with our son's input, to increase his grade up to a B or B+ after three months. Well on his most recent report card after only two months he has an "A" in Algebra I. Not only did he get an A in math. He ended up on Honor Roll once again with all "As" and 2 "B"s. Our son enjoys tutoring. He said he can really relate to and easily understand the concepts his tutor Gene helps him with. He looks forward to going each week. His confidence level that we saw him losing has gone back up. He no longer doubts his abilities and is more determined than ever to continue his path to becoming an engineer and owning his own engineering company. We put our son in to help give him that extra assistance before the 8th grade math STAAR test. We wanted him to feel confident and secure in his knowledge of math after all the work he put in his first year of middle school. He passed the 8th grade STAAR with flying colors but the most important part was that he wasn't stressed to take it. I believe the 2 months of Grade Power gave him that extra boost in confidence he needed to approach that test knowing that he had the test in the bag. My son enjoyed working with the 2 tutors assigned to him and was able to create a good rapport with them. The facilities are nice and clean. It has been a great experience working with Mr. Lloyd Moffatt. His communication is clear and concise. The pricing of the tutoring is straightforward and no hidden fees which I appreciate. I like the fact that it isn't a contract you just have to make sure you are clearly outlining what your expectations are and what the goal is for your child/ren attending Grade Power. They are very flexible with getting students in for make up classes as long as the communication from the parents is done in a reasonable timeframe. I came to GradePower with an unusual son. He is exceptionally smart, and tests well, but his grades suffered due to an inability to assimilate instructions properly, often misunderstanding what to do. And he'd forget assignments constantly, turning them in late. All of this was handicapped by a sense of apathy. No matter how much I tried to motivate him, he just didn't care. Since he didn't care, he didn't follow through to fix things. Or would forget. This dragged his middle school grades down into the average, when he used to be at the top of his school. So I signed him up with GradePower learning over the summer of 2018. He entered High School at the end of that class and so far he's doing much better. But it's not just his grades. My son seems to have a stronger sense of urgency. He cares about his delivery more, follows through without being asked, and volunteers more information. He communicates with me and his teachers differently. He seems to have more confidence, and that apathy is gone. I am very pleased that I entrusted my 16 year-old son's academic tutoring to the people at GradePower Learning in Frisco. My son started in June with a tutor there who had just graduated with full teaching credentials. When he was offered a teaching job with a school district, he had to leave GradePower (hopefully he will be able to come back to tutor once he is well established in his teaching job). We were sad to see him go, as D really responded to his personality and teaching and he actually didn't complain about going (which is saying a lot for him). Lloyd and Stacy searched for another very qualified tutor and found Gene, with whom D gets along very well and knows how to keep him engaged and on track. D actually seems to look forward to his sessions with Gene (again, that's saying a lot for him - a teenager). Lloyd, Stacy and Gene have gone above and beyond to tailor D's program and put additional time and effort into adjusting it for what he is needing now (as there have been changes) to provide the most effective tutoring program possible. My son had attended Grade Power for this 2018 Summer and it has made a huge difference in my sons confidence and learning! My son had struggled with reading and math and never wanted to do homework on these subjects. Just to talk about it would upset him and he'd shut down. He believed because he didnt fully understand it that he wasnt smart. What he believed about himself was his reality. After the first week and a half my son told me, " Mom can this place be my school?" I said, "No you need to continue to go to your normal school but they will be here to help you." It doesnt upset my son anymore about tackling problems he may not know. He is confident in himself and believes in himself that he can handle these subjects and be ok. I dont struggle with him at home when I ask him to do his math, he just does it without arguing and has correct answers. Lloyd and Gene and their entire team have helped my son to have a new mindset of himself and his capabilities! I'm so blessed that we have been able to take my son here. We came to grade power a little desperate, looking for help and kind of lost. We got mixed feedback for our son, 8 years old. The feedback was from lack of attention, not able to be focused, too energetic and could not sit down, etc. We were recommended to try grade power by a close friend and I thank God that we listened. Only 3 months after our son has been getting good feedback from the teacher, able to finish his work and stay focused, improved significantly in math, seems more mature and leveled. I can't speak enough of Ms. Rebbeca, she has bonded with him and has asked me to give her tips on how to reach him and get him interested. One of the best decision I made in my child's education was to enroll them with Grade Power over the entire summer! The progress my kids have made over the past 10 week is phenomenal! They have made more progress in 10 weeks than the entire school year! This is because of the unique Programe they have (individualized for each child )and also because of one on one child to teacher ratio! The best part of this program are the teachers.. my kids are excited & motived to learn from them! The teachers are certified & very professional. Before GP my kids had no interest in reading any kind of books. By the end of 10 weeks my kids are asking me to buy more books & reading everyday! I absolutely love this place. We enrolled our then 3 year old in their Little Readers program. Over the last year going 2-3 times per week for 3 hours per day she has advanced so much. She can read 3 to 4 letter sight words. She even comprehends what she is reading and can tell me about it later. They also work on numbers. Recognition, counting by 1s, 2s, and 5s. The tutor who works with her is absolutely amazing. She is so patient and so sweet with my child. I also like that they don't close for summer, winter, or spring break. It helps provide my child with a consistent schedule. They do close for major holidays. The pricing is amazing too. You essentially get 1:1 attention for the price you would pay for preschool/daycare. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. read more

We are so impressed by Lloyd Moffatt and his team at Grade Power Learning. We have two children, one who needed help with his writing and a daughter who needed a lot of help with math. We signed both kids up for the Grade Power Learning system and were blown away with the results. Our son started with Grade Power over six months ago. He struggles academically and we needed to get him help in order to restore his confidence with learning. Our experience with GradePower/Lloyd and the tutors was beyond fabulous. Lloyd met with me to customize and schedule a twice-a-week summer program for my 14-YO and 10-YO and responded timely to every follow-up question. If you are in search of an ACT tutor, I would highly recommend Leigh Barnes at the Frisco location. My daughter took the 10 hr program and her overall composite score went up 4 points! Leigh focused on English and Science and my daughters English score went up 9 points (27 to a 36). In Science, she went up 2 points (26 to a 28). So glad we selected Leigh as our tutor! I have to say that Lloyd of Grade Power Learning in Frisco, TX has been wonderful at tutoring my younger brother in mathematics when he was struggling with his grades. Lloyd was very patient with him and taught him the basics and gave him useful tips in solving and understanding mathematical problems.
