My 8 year old daughter has been attending Explore Horizons Frisco for about 4 months for help with…read morereading and math. She has already made significant progress in math (now above grade level!) and is making solid gains in reading as well. She was a year behind in reading and is steadily catching up. When we did the trial class, I was skeptical because it just looked like a bunch of kids sitting around on computers. However, we decided to give it a try due to reasonable cost, no long term commitment, no assigned homework and a spot-on assessment of my daughter's needs at the end of the trial class. I've been very pleased so far. The sessions are highly individualized, and she is exposed to many math concepts that she hasn't even done in school yet. The staff give feedback after each session, and the director does a one-on-one written progress update every two months. This is extremely helpful in tracking progress against state academic standards and grade level performance and in identifying strengths and weaknesses. The staff are all very friendly, encouraging and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Explore Horizons Frisco.

I am confident to say that without Gideon we would still be playing a bit of "catch-up." My personal opinion...you do have to put the work in at home. If you are expecting a "miracle" after a month or two, I honestly do not think any learning center will fit the bill. It takes time and dedication to make sure our son is doing the work at home and prepared for the next challenge at class. (Yes we do trade Gideon homework for electronics time!) I have tried kumon (multiple centers in Plano) before and was complete failure. Didn't like their curriculum, neither the way of teaching. The experience was terrible for the amount of money you pay. My daughter will be there for 5-10 minutes with many other kids per teacher without consistency or care about student progression and then will send her home with meaningless homeworks. So far we LOVE Gideon (although you have to be committed for the tremendous amount of work at home) so far we don't regret it!

We purchased 8 - 2 hour sessions to prepare her for the Mar and June ACT. He came once a week initially and then we moved to every 2 weeks toward the end. He was prompt, encouraging, thorough, and did not waste any time once he arrived at our home. My daughter really enjoyed her time with him and felt it help to prepare her in ways she could not have done on her own. He identified areas that she needed the most help with and helped her to use her time more wisely. She increased her overall score by 6 points. We were extremely please. Mr. Kelly is fabulous!

Michael Jordan refused and proceed to email me, blaming me for not reviewing a map on his website. He was flippant and rude to the point where I had to ask him not to email me again. The person that referred me to him said they would NEVER recommend this company to anyone ever again. If I could rate "zero" stars, I would. Found the most amazing SAT tutor later.

His first score was 1440, and his second score, after C2 prep went up to 1770! We were very pleased. Then my senior was struggling (failing actually!) in his Calculas class. We again went to C2 and he has gone from a 53% grade, up to a 72% now. Mr Young, who runs the show, is always helpful, interested in the students, and will bend over backwards to make things happen.
