There was recently a big big cricket invasion that no one did anything about. If you don't pay extra(for camps/classes/etc.), they can only really crowd into a single gym(and not even all the time due to basketball lessons) or do math/chinese packets. Additionally, I recall there being an issue with water splashing/wet floors in the bathrooms. Huayi simply closed the bathrooms (boys) and put cameras in as well. Hua Yi was also sold recently to Mrs. Sun. I remember her as a nice Chinese teacher, they have also changed their logo to a friendlier, more modern one. I hope this reflects potential changes in their building/school in future as well.

As someone who has spent time here, I can see both the good and the bad. On the positive side, while some of the kids might not be the easiest to get along with (to put it mildly), the teachers here deserve recognition. Special shoutout to Mrs. Xie and Mr. Jefferson--they're truly amazing! Many students complain about how "mean" the teachers are, but honestly, they don't realize how challenging it must be to work a demanding 9-to-5 job, managing a classroom full of unruly kids every single day. It's no easy task, and I think the teachers deserve a lot more credit for their dedication and effort. That said, there's room for improvement. Take the restrooms, for example--they're far from sanitary. They're crawling with cockroaches, and I'm pretty sure they don't meet the state's health standards. While there have been some small improvements, they're still a long way from acceptable. Then there are the classrooms. They're overcrowded, which makes it nearly impossible for teachers to give students the attention they need. The rooms themselves aren't much better--they don't even have windows, and the walls and desks are littered with graffiti and profanity (I won't repeat any of it because, well, let's keep things appropriate). On top of that, the furniture hasn't been replaced in 20 years. It's outdated and falling apart--it's long overdue for an upgrade, Mrs. Yi. (P.S they give us activities like basketball ping pong and a whole room dedicated to playing which keeps us sane and from not going crazy) Despite all this, the school is still standing and trying its best after all these years. But with just a bit of effort and investment, it could go from "just getting by" to a place everyone could truly take pride in.

One of the things we appreciate most is how the school integrates faith into learning. It's very important to us that our children are learning about Jesus and growing spiritually while also receiving a strong education. The field trips are another highlight -- they're well organized, fun, and give the kids great opportunities to learn outside the classroom. Overall, Legacy Christian Academy has been a great place for our kids, and we're grateful for the positive experience our family has had there.

The instructors are so nice and accommodating when we had to reschedule sessions for unforeseen reasons. My son really liked their tutor, Anthony, who also happens to be the owner. Emily, the algebra tutor is also great! Next year we will definitely be back with out youngest one to prepare her for the PSAT/SAT.

Since…read morethe old, much smaller Lowery school was not serving the needs of 9th graders in Allen ISD, the city built this new building right behind it. This addition was much needed. Since Allen High School starts from 10th grade, they had the Freshman's in a separate school. Last week, I had the chance to checkout this new school for my niece's Allen District Honor Choir performance being held at the auditorium. The auditorium was spacious with comfortable seats, high quality speakers and large stage area. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance by these talented kids and recognized their effort, dedication. I'm glad to be a resident of Allen City and am looking forward to my son attending these top rated schools with state of the art amenities, great extracurricular programs, and high academics.

My kids started Mathnasium in elementary school when a center opened up in Coppell. They were there for 2-3 years before I pulled my teens out of Mathnasium and moved them over to c2 education down the street since they were starting SAT test prep. BIG MISTAKE. It only took a few months before my Mathnasium teens began to sense they were losing the momentum they had gained in their math classes at school. They begged me to pull them out of c2 and put them back into Mathnasium. So I moved them back ASAP. Here comes the good part! All 3 kids completed the Mathnasium curriculum before their Junior year and all 3 earned perfect Math scores on the SAT (actually, 1 kid took the ACT). They won numerous math accolades in MS and HS and earned 5s on the AP Calc BC and AP Statistics exams. The Mathnasium At Home option (virtual lessons) worked very well with their busy schedules and the monthly rate was significantly less than what I spent and wasted at c2. HOWEVER, here comes the bad: I removed 1 star above since Mathnasium COULD and SHOULD make their monthly rates more affordable. Their arbitrary notices for price hikes got annoying, especially when nothing else seemed to change. And finally, here's the ugly: If you're considering c2 education for test prep, DON'T. Read the uncompensated 1 star reviews on Trustpilot. And check out c2's rating and consumer complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau (Grade F, Unaccredited). You're much better off sticking with Mathnasium for SAT Math and looking elsewhere for a private tutor for the Reading section. J&J Test Prep with Jackie, Khan Academy, SupertutorTV, Elite Prep Plano's 1500+ Summer Bootcamp, and College Board's Blue Book are solid starting points.

She's also shared that the work feels too easy and has specifically asked for more challenging material, but her needs still aren't being met. Additionally, the reward system doesn't seem effective. Almost every time I pick her up, she's been given candy--usually Skittles--which suggests the incentives aren't engaging or meaningful for her. I've also observed tutors frequently engaged in casual conversation rather than focused on the students. Overall, this doesn't feel like a constructive environment for learning or developing strong academic habits. We've been very disappointed.
