Tucked away on the Granville strip deep in the heart of Richmond, you'll find this little thrift shop. Quiet and unassuming, perhaps the polar opposite of the Value Village just a few shops down, this one is definitely worth a pop in!
True, the RAPS shop could be better organized and labelled, I will concede. I'm sure they'd also be grateful for a fraction of the donations that the VV nearby receives by default. As a result, you'll find hidden treasures among the merch that they do have.
My visit yesterday was only the second time I'd been in. They had a pretty good selection of books ($0.25 each) and very reasonably priced games. I picked up a few favourite books and a Scrabble card game just for kicks. The clothing selection was okay, with more than fair pricing.
For less than the price of a holey tee shirt at Value Village, I walked out with a card game, a handful of books, a bergamot shampoo/body wash & shaving gel set and five greeting cards. I also feel better knowing that my money is going to a good cause, which can't always be said for some of the other thrift stores.
If you're in the area, this is a must-visit, and if you're not, take a trip out to Richmond for a game of outdoor pickleball or fish and chips and stop here while you're in town! read more
