This car wash was at one time the BEST wash going in our area. Then it must have gone under new ownership, I'm assuming. All of a sudden the service deteriorated by less personnel working their. They were using less soap and triple wax on their washes, and did away with the toner, and wheel cleaner. So what you have is a not so clean car that comes out of the wash lined up in the sun while an older gentleman in early 60's is drying all the cars by himself. You have streaks all over the vehicle and streaked windows. It looks terrible. And to add insult to injury, the price went up $7, from $28 to $35 for a 30 Day pass. No Thank You. I understand the price increase. But an increase for a lesser quality product, I'll go elsewhere Thank You. And it looks like most of their customer's have done so, as the line has disappeared no matter the time of day. read more

I have to echo what many have commented as of late. The previous owners took good care of the equipment, and it was well worth the $28 for a 30-day pass. The new owner is a nice enough guy, but the whole car wash has gone steadily downhill while the price has increased to $35. The tire shine is hit or miss (mostly miss), the second set of Mitter curtains (I had to look that one up) have been inoperable for months with the new dead head they hired trying to tell me they never moved. Really ??? The sad part is this was a GREAT deal and a unique approach to a drive-through car wash given the extra touches provided by the guys pre-washing and drying your car. Now it is an exercise in frustration. If I could find one that provided the same service, I would gone in a heartbeat. And even if it says open until 7:PM...don't believe it. I raced over there the other night and at 6:55 they were locked up tight. Looking for a new place but so far, no luck. read more

I've gone to this wash for years ... it's really gone downhill and needs some TLC ... Lights are out inside the tunnel that let you know what's going on your car (if you bought something you have no clue if you're getting it or not) ... the "dryer" did almost nothing - today was the worst / least drying it's done and the 2 guys drying didn't even get it dry (because t was so wet and there were cars in line behind me) ... the vacuum next to the one I was at was missing the nozzle at the end of the hose that you would use on your carpet ... the sign out front is even in bad shape and really shows the age/lack of care being taken in this facility. I'm disappointed/sad to see it in this shape and will need to look for another touchless car wash. If the owner reads this, I hope you make some improvements and TLC into your facility. We took my husband's truck here this weekend to get all of the road stuff from the winter weather off. I was impressed that they had several people at the start of the line helping scrub at the windows and front and back of the truck to make sure it was clean. Went through the rest of the automatic wash and then there were two guys on the back end that helped dry the windows and sides of the car to make sure there weren't spots. Happy overall with the wash and treatment and price was on par with many others in the area but with the people on the front and back to help make sure it worked to the best ability. I like this carwash. They are friendly and quick. And even when you buy the cheapest option (which I did) they do an excellent job on your car. They even have a towel person stationed outside the tunnel to finish up your drying. They do have free vacuums BUT they aren't set up under a canopy or carport type thing where you are in the shade. You probably want to grab your sunscreen for the vacuuming part. They are located directly across the street from McDonalds and right next to SpeeDee oil change. Good job Rapids! read more

Been going here for about a year now, but sadly, the experience has fallen off a cliff. Examples include: 1. General "beat up" appearance of the facility, to include their sign which needed replacement years ago and now is effectively unreadable due to massive fading. (That speaks volumes as to what they think of their own business?) 2. Filthy post-wash area which appears to only be cleaned (sort of) when/if it happens to rain. All sorts of slime and grime, so much so that you should clean the bottom of your shoes before you get back in your car (if you like your car's carpet). 3. The final rinse is sporadic at best, and leaves a large amount of soap in the car's crevices, door jambs, mirrors, etc. 4. The end-of-wash air wall/blowers have been broken for going on two or three months now, perhaps more. Thus, when you pull out of the tunnel your car is still covered in water (and some soap), which the overworked "wiper guy" at the end of the line has to try to correct on his own. Needless to say, he can only do a half-assed job as he would have to wipe down the entire car to do a decent job, and he's only got one towel, and limited time, so you can guess how that ends up: not good. On the positive side, at least they "sort of" offer clean-ish towels so you can finish the job yourself. (But they only give you one towel at a time, and you have to walk all the way over to the "wiper guy" to get them, across the dirt landscaping. Ugh.) The whole operation is just a mess--it's likely time for new management. While the staff cares and seems to try to provide customer service, it's obvious they're working for a management team that doesn't care. This car wash has so many obvious, glaring, and chronic problems and issues that the current owners obviously just don't give a damn. Recommend going elsewhere until things improve. read more

Broke my tail light cover off my car and didn't offer a refund. They were so focused on the broken tail light that they missed spots on my car so there were dirty spots. I paid for the third most expensive package... I know the manager/owner doesn't care about customers' broken cars based on their responses to other customer reviews. It's hard to review car washes because most of them are the same and you're there for such a limited time, but Rapids is really exceptional. They're fairly priced, they have actual humans scrubbing your car at the beginning of the wash, and people actually towel dry your car. On top of that, there are free vacuums and plenty of space to park to clean out your interior. *Don't forget to bring some cash to tip the guys drying your car. They stand out there in the heat or cold to make sure your ride is nice a dry. Show them some love!* read more

Folks, if you value your automobile in any way find another car wash source. The equipment here is very dated and destructive. Their guide shredded the lower quarter panel of my vehicle, and the response was that there was nothing they could do about it. The wash also left soup all over my car after exiting the wash. I have to admit, I'm rather cheap and don't want to pay $15 to wash my car. I've been to other places and for the same money they just put you through the automatic wash. It only cleans about 75%. Not here! They hand wash your windows and hard to reach spots before you enter. Then, someone towel dries after. What service! My car was CLEAN for $8. Came here on Thursday after work around 6:30pm and they were still open. All the other car washes in the area were already closed but I'm glad I ended up here! It's an older location with no frills but for only $6 I couldn't complain. The man waiting to dry my car off upon exiting was so sweet and walked all the way over to my parking spot to dry the car off because I didn't see him and didn't stop at the exit. The vacuums were free and the nozzle is slightly larger than some of the other vacuums at different car washes, which was great because I had to clean popcorn out of my backseat and the smaller nozzle wouldn't have been able to pick it up. The actual car wash seems a little narrow so if you drive a big truck or something wide you might need to go somewhere else. For reference I drive a Nissan rogue and it fit fine but for anything much bigger it may be a tight fit. Overall would come back! read more

Needed a quick wash with vacuums. As there are car washes on almost every corner these days, I like to delve into the reviews. This place had great reviews so I decided to check it out. The guy working offered the $12 wash for $10. The guys who work the entry of the wash really do give your car a good once over prior to entering the wash for those stubborn bugs/dirt. The wash is seamless and you get a free towel dry upon exiting. You can then park at the vacuums to hit the inside of your car. They don't have any towels or spray for the inside of your car which was a bummer but you can ask the guys who dry your car for one and they'll gladly share. The towels were a little wet so not having spray wasn't a big deal. If you were trying to get your interior or windows you may call to see if they have anything available. This place was not that bad of a car wash service! I arrived probably 10 minutes before closing and they were willing to let me through. The $6 wash was sufficient enough to clean. There's a guy at the end who uses washcloths to dry you car a little. I felt kind of bad for him because it was excruciatingly hot so tips are always welcomed with them! read more

I've been coming here since they were four dollar car washes. It went up to five dollars for the basic wash but that's all I need. Today I drove through like I normally do with the normal attempted upsell to the next higher wash but like I said, I only need the five dollar wash. When I got out to drive my car I noticed the hood was not clean at all and I drove back and ask them about it and they said that the next wash would clean it up. The next higher priced wash. I didn't want to pay for the higher priced wash as the five dollar wash had cleaned my car sufficiently for the past several years that I have been coming here. This time, as I was going through the wash I ran my wipers to knock the soap off of the windshield to see how that roller was going to do when it went over my hood. It did not drop down! I assumed the wash was broken, so I went and wiped my car down and used the generous amount of soap and water that remained on my car to wipe the remaining dirt and bugs off of my hood. I went back and told the manager that I thought his car wash was broken because the main roller did not come down. He informed me that they had changed it and on the basic wash they don't let the roller come down to wash your car. You have to pay more money to get what was once a basic wash, and in principle, in order to get your car washed. I will never return to this dump of a car wash. There is one a little further down towards Colleyville on the right. There's also one on the corner of Precinct Line and Harwood. I wou suggest you go to either of those over this place. I think it is a rip off because they didn't let anybody know that the basic wash was just running water over your car for five bucks. They raised the price, lowered the service and passed the f$&king on to the customer! read more

Our first car wash here was a fast and efficient experience and will return when in Southlake. Located conveniently off grapevine highway, it was a quick exit into their facility. We were prompt in line to pay, since the truck was filthy from a 14 hour drive the day before. Two workers pre washed the truck before we moved through the automatic wash(car has to be in neutral and on the tracks to pass through smoothly). Once through the car wash, a young man dries quickly and efficiently, in seconds - virtually no downtime waiting, what a deal! read more

Very Pleased!! I wanted to get the dust/dirt off of my car. I found this car wash using my phone to "search near me". Rapids had great reviews when compared to other car wash operations. I was pleasantly surprised at the pricing. I opted to go all in for the $12 wash (plus tips if you so desire). My car came out looking fantastic! There wasn't any dirt at all on/in the wheel wells and no water spots to be found. I will definitely go back - and my husband wants to give it a try in his truck!! read more

Super impressed by this place. I agree with the other reviewers - this place is an excellent value for the money. I routinely let my car get pretty dirty between washes, but after going here, my car came out sparkling and looking brand new. This place is better than those other drive-thru places for these reasons: 1. There is a guy walking from car to car in the line taking your order (wash selection) and your payment -- no having to deal with some lame machine - and you never have to get out of your car (unless you want to vacuum it out). 2. There are two guys that hand-wash both the front end and rear-end of your vehicle before you enter the wash. So all those bug guts are sure to come off thanks to them. 3. The automatic wash itself does a great job. As I said, I let my car get pretty dirty between washes and it got all the dirt off. Even the rims and wheels looked really good. I have a black car, so the dirt is easy to see. With other drive-thru places, I always find places that the wash missed, but none this time. A lot of that, as I said, is because of the two guys hand washing on the front end of the wash, too. 4. Although the wash has those automatic air dryers as you exit, there are still lots of water droplets all over your car -- BUT there is another guy waiting for you to exit and he hand-dries those remaining droplets off with a towel. You can borrow an extra towel from him if you'd like to wipe down the dash and interior too. 5. They have free vacuums - and they are powerful and do a good job :) 6. It's CHEAP! The most expensive wash is $12 and that includes all the works. Not sure why but the last time I went, they gave me the top of the line wash for only $10. Score! Anyway, I highly recommend this place. It's a great price and your car will come out just as nice if you take it to one of the fancier places up the road in Colleyville where they will charge you $40. He would talk to me like I should know how every part of a car wash. First he started to come up with some messed up logic on why the car wash was not at fault for it. My bae aka car needed a much overdue pamper, and I made it a mission to get it washed today. During my lunch break, I broke out the handy dandy Yelp app to help me find a good car wash location and this place had positive reviews. Call me spoil or lazy, but I don't believe in paying money to wash my own car. I came here because it's a similar operation to $3 Express Car Wash (where I always go). You put your car in neutral, sit back, and let the machine do all the work. LOVE. For that fact alone, I would recommend this place over all the other car wash locations in the area. Now for my actual experience. The basic exterior car wash costs $6...that's double the price I usually pay at the Express Car Wash!! And then I felt obligated to tip afterwards because they have people there to dry off your car with a towel. However, the guys I interacted with are very cool, and they burst of positivity. HOWEVER, after I was done with the car wash, I found some soap still on my rearview window...definitely wasn't supposed to be there. Overall, if bae is in need of a desperate wash while I'm at work, I'll come back. if not, she can wait until the weekend when I take her to the $3 Express Car Wash. read more
