I have bought two pairs of boots from this location now. I walked in knowing that I was going to…read morepurchase a pair of new shoes and asked if I could get my old boots re-soled. My old boots tread looked like slippers and I slide all over during winter time. So not only was the gentleman worked very thorough in helping me find a new pair for winter, he also helped sent off my old boots (which are older than my 4 yr old) back to the factory to re-sole and fix some of other minor damage to my boots. Over all it was a great experience, the store is a little small compared to other locations, but since its close to my home town I want to support the smaller guy and forget the big box stores or Amazon.

My daughter won't be a customer--unfortunately…read more My daughter recently got her first job working at a Dog Wash & Grooming business. It's become obvious that she needs some serious work shoes or boots. I managed to brainwash her that Red Wing shoes makes the best work shoes, they're super tough, and they're made in Minnesota! I told her I'd spend up to 200 bucks for her to buy whatever she likes. Not bad for a 14 year old, right? Wow, what a disappointment last Saturday! First, there was only one small corner for women's shoes. Second, the sales guy managed to alienate my daughter. He spend most of his time with two dudes that were in the store. And what little time he spent on my daughter, he pretty much talked her out of buying any Red Wings and kept directing her to a super ugly (obviously inappropriate) pair of women's hiking boots. It's was like...if you HAVE to buy Red Wings...I SUPPOSE you could buy these! Really? My daughter told me, "Dad, he's sexist." When a wide eyed 14 year old comes up with the idea that you're sexist, it's NOT cool! So due to this idiot, my daughter now dislikes Red Wing Shoes. I don't think I can ever talk her into buying a pair. And I walked out the door with the $200 still in my pocket. -Daddy Maxx Retro

This shoe store is the only place I buy shoes. Their employees are so kind, helpful and…read moreknowledgeable about foot wear. I buy a new pair of Haflingers every year or every other year and in the summer love their Think sandals. They also have a cute selection of boutique style clothing and accessories. You are going to pay over $80.00 but they only carry the best brands and honestly there service is how it used to be. One of A kind place! Just bought a very cool sweater/jacket.

I called ahead asking if they carried size 12 in both a specific shoe and just in general. While…read morethey said they didn't have the specific shoe I was looking for, they said they had a variety of shoes in size 12 so my folks and I made the haul up there (it was my birthday and they were in town from a few states away...they wanted to buy me something and I needed a few replacement pairs of shoes). There were several sales people on the floor helping other people. I went to the sale rack first and then asked an older lady if they had Vionics in size 12. She said no. When I had called they had implied that they had other Vionic styles in twelves so i thought that was weird. I grabbed the loafer I wanted and waited for another rep thinking she just misunderstood me. The next woman was more helpful, but the situation still wasn't ideal. I tried on a pair of Danskos that were an EU 42 but that is really just an 11.5. (Eyes Dansko from across an ocean...) If we're being honest here, I think there were no actual size twelves in the store, they didn't want to look, or they didn't know how to look. I asked her what she had in the store that came in a 12, but she wanted me to go around the store and point to individual shoe styles and say "How about this one? How about this one? How about this one?" Listen...I'm 42 years old. I know that 99% of the time the answer is going to be "no...we don't have that in a 12." I have 30 years of shoe buying trauma built up, I don't need that in my life on my birthday. So when I ask what styles you have in a size 12? I know there are probably going to be like six of them tops. And if there are more that is AMAZING but SAY so, have it written down somewhere. Take me to the computer and let's look up your inventory by SIZE so you can show me what you have in stock TODAY. (((It's why I'm here and not on zappos.))) Don't waste my time and make me feel like I don't belong. Especially when you brag about having extended sizes. And telling me you can order those Vionics? Not helpful. Because I can do that too. I'm there because your website made me feel like I might've able to try on shoes like a regular person...in a store. NOPE. Happy birthday to me. Sigh.
