Our group had a wide range of experience, ranging from never been camping to frequent outdoorsmen. The seamless way the guides made everyone feel safe, entertained and active during the trip was amazing. Larkin, Issac and Chuck are a dream team for sure. I cannot thank them enough. Arriving to camp each day with tents set up and shaded canopy waiting was great. It allowed us to not worry around set up and enjoy the river, and get some fishing in. The food was 5 star that we were over the moon about. We left wanting recipes but were so amazed on the freshness and preparedness MRO provided each day. No hot dogs on sticks here for sure. They were able to squeeze us in last min for a half day white water rafting trip. Everyone who works there was super friendly and went out of their way to introduce themselves to us. After a short ride on the "cool bus" and and a little safety talk, we were on our way. Our guide Chris was super cool and knowledgeable about the area. In between rapids and one liner dad jokes he told us about the different cliffs and other stuff on the river. Overall it was an amazing day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Highly recommend this place for all your salmon river needs!!

We've done two half-day trips with H2O over the past two summers -- the first in June of 2018 and…read morethe second just yesterday. Found the company through Groupon, and had a great time the first time so we came back with a group of five adults and five kids. Catfish was the guide both years for the "grown up's" raft, and Taylor was the guide for the kids. Our guides were great -- Catfish took us through the most exciting parts of the rapids, and was very knowledgeable about the river. Taylor was careful with the kids (didn't take them through the most hairy water) and was very nice, letting the kids take turns controlling the raft during calm spots. The water was a lot better in July than in June, and the half day trip took a little less than three hours. The rapids were fantastic -- some of the best we've encountered in Idaho. The guides had dry bags for our phones and keys, and coolers with drinks. We'll use H20 again and will try to book a whole-day trip next time. A great experience with great guides.

The personal equipment, as well as the equipment supporting the entire tour, was of exceptional design, quality and maintenance. Meals cooked by the guides were creative, nutritious, and plentiful for hungry paddlers. The guides were extremely knowledgeable about the entire length of the river, which was greater than 100 miles. They know how to attack each obstacle to provide a high level of adventure while doing it safely. All of the staff were well educated and friendly. They all had an amazing general knowledge of botany, zoology, geography, and natural history. If an individual guide could not answer your question, they were quick to research it in their extensive library or consult other guides. This trip was a reunion for me in 17 of my West Point classmates. The guides did an amazing job of making it entertaining, enjoyable and memorable.

We saw a few people get drunk, beligerant, and not wearing PFDs across the river one day. Some of the other river guide companies do not operate a tight ship. I'm so glad we went with OARS because my stress level was zero other than the rapids. The 5-day down the Snake River was perfect as you really get into the groove of rafting that 3rd day. Plus my cousin and her family. with 4 kids under 12 Gary made it interesting for them...stopping by "Ruby beach" to look for red stones, and Interesting for the two teachers on board with historical facts on Indians, the river, settlers, and geology. He was a walking encyclopedia and I am glad we booked with him. I recommend his rafting tours to any family wanting a break from reality and a fun and educational time on the lake. My husband and I enjoyed the small museum on one of the stops and another stop was Sturgeon Rock which my husband jump off into the river. I do feel for the price the lunch could have been better. There were plenty of drinks for everyone. Captain Eric and Cassidy were great. They played music during the ride at our request and were very helpful getting in and out of the boat. Captain Eric had years of experience driving that boat so we felt very safe. We saw deer, big horn sheep, eagles and a sturgeon. We hooked plenty of bass and trout, plus a seven-and-a-half-foot sturgeon that blew us away. Chukar hunting was legit--tough climbs and strong dog work. Those dogs were dialed. My children loved Liz and she was exceptional with all the kids on the trip. All of our guides were 100% friendly, helpful, experienced, and stressed safety throughout the trip. The lodges we stayed in were historic, beautiful, and comfortable. Its not Four seasons but its fantastic compared to tent camping. The food was delicious and much better than I was expecting. We had some dietary restriction, and the team was very helpful and accommodating. Our entire family loved the entire trip, even my wife who is not the outdoorsy type.
