My family member brought her vehicle here and paid $5,088.23 for engine repairs, trusting this business to get the job done right. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. The vehicle started having issues almost immediately after pickup. We tried to work with the owner, but Ceaser refused to help or take any responsibility. Now she's had to pay another $1,800 at a different shop just to get the engine working properly. It's disappointing to spend nearly $7,000 and walk away with a worse situation than we started with. I took my Dodge Ram 1500 to have the lifters and camshaft replaced.He gave me a reasonable quote that saved me money compared to others who quoted me a price above that, on work I didn't need. Had Cesar and his team replace an ac compressor in my Jetta wagon. It works so good and blows so cold. He gives great customer service. he works very fast too. Had a new compressor installed and blowing ice in less than 2 hours. It's refreshing to find an honest mechanic that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for repair work especially on European cars. if you own one then you know how expensive they can be to fix. Was referred from Little Shop of Motors as they only work with European cars. I then requested a quote from Rapid All Auto through yelp for replacing ignition coils etc., and Cesar responded very quickly with a much cheaper and reasonable price compared to the 3 different scam repair shops I went to. Cesar was thorough and straghtforward on what they envision their shop as, which is to only to repair what is needed. No hidden additional repairs to be added and charged afterwards. 2 hours later, my car is running as strong as ever Bottom line is that I finally found my go-to mechanic guy. Honest good working men! They took care of my issues and they were quick about it. They even explained what was happening and how to prevent issues from getting worse. They have a 2 year guarantee for all parts they replace and even gave me a loaner all free of charge. They're prices were competitive compared to other places. I have performance parts installed here. They install whatever you give them and do a quality job. Just make sure what you give them to install is good for your car. They won't recommend anything they just do what you ask of them. Overall good job. 4 not 5 stars because in the beginning the owner/manager was going to charge me almost double to install something I knew wasn't as "complicated" as he made it seem. He agreed to a lower more reasonable price before I walked out. Know your stuff and how much your job is worth before you go, but if they do the work they do a good job. read more

I have been working with this auto service place for about 2 years, and actually I was the first person to review this place with a great services and best customer services, however my last visit took a totality different route. Cesar the owner was very rude and unprofessional with me, and he got upset because he thought I was pointing at him with my hands, but actually I wasn't. Anyhow, If that would be the case, anyways you DO NOT treat your customers like that. That is unacceptable. I actually went there with my new 2015 Nissan Murano to install a towing hitch (which is only 2 screws on each side of the vehicle) and Cesar the owner asked me for $80.... Really? $80 to install 2 screws and will take you less than 3 mins? I told him I can do it by myself but unfortunately the hitch is really heavy and I needed an extra hands. Well, that extra hands in Rapid All Auto will cost me $80. I also was trying to negotiate with him and told him that I can pay him $60 (which I think is still too much) but I think is between the fair price range. but Of course he said "NO, that is my price and is not negotiable". I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place anymore, they have lost the primary essential of a business 1) Customer Services and 2) Price. I will definitely make sure to call my whole family and friends to let them know that this place is getting worse. This place is great. Cesar helped me a lot and won me over with a great bid for a timing belt. This shop is not only clean, but everyone is highly professional at what they do. I spent the whole day here waiting for a understandably lengthy job and it felt like home. They have a TV with all the streaming services for customers, wifi and a subway closeby for lunch. These guys also allow you to walk over to your car when they're working on it at anytime to see the progress on your fix. They'll show you all the parts and walk you through exactly what they're doing. This is my first review on Yelp, but I highly recommend going here. They work on everything from Honda's to Bentley's! My brother convinced me to get a Sprinter van and convert it into a campervan. I bought a 2005 with a 2.7L diesel from a private owner in Boston (salty roads) and drove her down to Houston (long drive). Sprinter mechanics at OTHER shops were claiming crazy expensive ways to fix my glow plugs and resolve my fault codes. My brother told me "Go to Rapid All Auto and talk to Cesar". These guys had the right Sprinter tools to fix my problems. Their knowledge of Sprinter vans runs deep because they are servicing police and ambulance sprinters in Houston. In fact, Cesar (the owner) is so thorough that he double checks my initial fault codes by clearing them at my first visit, asked me to drive my vehicle around while the parts are shipped, and then he confirm that all the fault codes are in fact current issues (not old ones). He's transparent and upfront about the costs, even if he knows there's a better deal out there. For example, I needed new tires and we reviewed his options. He's got great options at great prices. However, I'm on a shoe-string budget. He knew that. So Cesar pointed me to other places in town that have better deals because all they do is tires. He's that straightforward and honest. He also listened carefully to my goals...for example, I'm planning to pull a trailer, so shocks that can handle the weight were important to me. Man! He installed some great shocks! My vehicle drives so much better now. After my first visit and experience, I'm totally sold...Cesar and his team are the only ones that are working on my Sprinter van. read more

Rapid All Auto just replaced an A/C compressor in my 2007 Honda Accord. I first circulated a Request for Quote on Yelp. Rapid All Auto won. The experience was hassle free. I received a 2 year warranty. Rapid Auto is located near the West Belfort Park and Ride. They dropped me off and picked me up from the bus stop in a timely manner. If anyone lives in the Southwest suburbs and works downtown this is the way to go. I will be having all my future auto repairs at Rapid All Auto. read more

Took my 2005 mini to Rapid after getting the clutch the clutch, flywheel, and rear main engine replaced elsewhere. They charged $3,500. Rapid had estimated $1,083, but I thought the other shop was more experienced, even though far away. Rapid had done a oil change on it 2 months earlier. It was leaking oil badly and the other shop said their work was ok and it needed oil pan gasket. Rapid said rear main seal was the leak, but at my direction, relaced oil pan, filter housing, and timing cover gaskets, as well as front crank seal, oil pressure sender and oil drain plug. $700 tab. Still leaked. Other shop said gasket work was bad. Rapid said rear seal was the leak but offered to redo their work. A transmission shop looked over night and said rear main was bad. The seal shop said other stuff needed redo, would replace, but charge if leak stopped. Leak still there after redo. They then replaced the rear main seal. Leak still there. They then changed mechanic and did the 3rd main seal. LEAK STOPPED. Rapid was very professional throughout. Very confident. Very clean shop. MY NEW LOCAL SHOP. read more

Took my truck in for a check engine light and was told that the emissions vent solenoid needed replaced. I was charged $288.96 to replace it and turn off the check engine light. After 2 months the light came back on. I returned it to them and was told the solenoid was probably bad and they kept for a day. When I return that afternoon to pick up they said they could not find the problem because the leak was so small so they did not replace the part. They said they thought the charcoal canister was probably was bad and wanted to charge me to replace it. I replaced myself and also replaced the gas cap from the dealer to see if that was the fix. After a few weeks the light came back on. I returned and was then told this must be a recall problem and suggested I take to the dealer to see if there was a recall. I drove to the local dealer and was told there was no recall on the problem. I reset the light by unplugging the battery and again after a few weeks I just took back when the light returned. Now they say they will not warranty their work because they did not want to deal with this problem and asked me to not bring my truck back but I could take to the dealer and if they find the solenoid was bad they would pay for the part. What they fail to understand is a dealer will charge me triple the original cost and if was never the solenoid in the first place then I paid for a part that was never needed and I am out the $288.96. I took the truck to them to repair it right the first time and I should not have to keep paying for something else. That's customer service at it's best!! Do not take your car to these people unless you want to get the run around. read more
