I actually got a massage at another spot down the road on Indian Canyon first and left so unsatisfied (I chose that other one because it had way more reviews, don't make the same mistake I did!) I'm so happy that Raphael's recently reopened. I've been a fan of the $60/90 minute massage for some time, but was somewhat apprehensive about going back in today's covid-climate. David is at the helm, slowly rebuilding his team. And, his rubs are as good as ever. I recently met with Simon, who also has skilled hands. The studio has been completely redone, updated, and very clean. I wore a mask, as did they, and I felt as comfortable as you can these days. Know that these are eastern-style massages, with a lot of pushing and moving into the muscle, all at a comfortable pressure. Prices have increased, but still a deal; $50/60min, $75/90min! Don't go! Just left after my boyfriend and I had two one hour foot massages and my boyfriend received the presidential treatment while I am not sure what I received. They started with his head, neck and shoulders But not me! massages with one hand while on the phone with the other. Put lotion on my feet but rubbed my legs with nothing. I used to go to the spa in La Quinta, so I already knew some of the staff and felt at home. I actually like this location better as it is closer to the "strip." The owners are very professional and their staff are well-versed in reflexology and after my massage I felt completely relaxed. I can't say enough good things about this spa. His salon is located right around the corner from the Thai massage salon. I've notified Yelp because the reviews for the massage should not reflect on Raphael's work and is damaging to his business. If you are seeking a boutique quiet salon without the hustle and bustle of many stylist the loud noise and cattiness then come to his boutique salon. The shampoo area is intimate and private. He has put such attention to detail and love in designing his space. The shampoo area is private, dimly lighted so that when you lay back in the chair you are looking up to a ceiling that mimics the starry sky. There's a cutting room and a color room. Decorated in Moroccan style this place exudes such style and obvious love for the establishment . Raphael is also Sassoon trained. Continues his education as a seasoned stylist having been doing this for 30+ years, he stays inspired by traveling internationally to maintain his inspiration taking classes and workshops. If you like precision to detail work, stylist who care then visit Raphael but you for sure will not be getting a massage here. Hair ONLY. read more

Therefore I don't get left behind with a haircut that I liked during the Vietnam era. He regularly attends seminars all over the country & world, so that we have the new cut or style before all the others!! It depends on who you get as to whether you get a good massage or not. Many of the Masseurs are completely untrained. For example, Andy is excellent but Owen has no idea what he's doing. He tries hard but he has absolutely no training. It is the fault of the owner for hiring people who don't know what they're doing. Perhaps he is a relative. The other issue is they charge a 4% fee for using credit cards. What business in their right mind charges fees in a resort community? I realize they want cash so they don't have to report it but the owner should be smart and know her location and her customers. You should tell the customer there is a fee before you put it on their card. Not doing so is dishonest. Also we know you are not paying more than 1% yet you charge customers 4%.
