I went in for a neck injury from work, and didn't expect much because the touch was so light. But somehow, my body completely relaxed and I started to feel real relief. I've never experienced anything like it before. Hubert was so kind, gentle, and informative throughout the entire session. He explained things in a way that made sense and made me feel comfortable the whole time. The office was also clean, spacious, and calming. I'm already booked for another appointment and can't wait to go back.

But I feel like he is not good at diagnosing issues, which is one of the most important, maybe the most important, differentiating skills between doctors of any kind. He can't tell what problems I have unless I tell him point blank, which is a problem because often the patient doesn't know what the root cause is. And he continues a treatment plan regardless of what problems I'm actually suffering. I have been to many chiropractors, including really good ones and also some bad ones. I haven't gotten better from seeing him 3 times and have actually been in even more pain. That should not happen. 2 stars. EDIT: I ended up finding a chiropractor skilled in Neuro Emotional Technique and I was surprised that she was able to address the root of my back issues, digestion, and waking up every night at 3 am.

I had a massage today and afterwords was told that my tip was not enough and that I needed to tip more. A few things to note here - 1. You do not tip upfront. Your initial payment is only for the base massage rate. You tip after your massage. They have a sign right next to the front desk which basically encourages you to tip more (1 thumbs up - 20% tip, 2 thumbs up - 25% tip, 3 thumbs up - 30% tip). Don't feel pressured because of that sign. It's better if you carry cash for the tip. They prefer it that way because you give the tip directly to your masseuse. 2. The short form you fill out lets you provide information like pressure level, sore points to focus on during the massage and any injuries that the masseuse needs to be aware of. This is very helpful in case there is a language barrier. The front desk lady was really nice and friendly. And I wasn't pressured into tipping a certain amount which is great. I opted for the Swedish massage with back walking. The rate was very reasonable and the massage was well worth the price. You can find all the rates on their website. My masseuse was quite good. I have had back walking experience in the past but this one was a little different (and more intense). My masseuse used her heels and the toes to dig into my back to loosen it before the oil massage. It was maybe 5 - 10 minutes long but there were times when I definitely struggled to breathe. This part was definitely not relaxing but it's on me. I could have asked them to lower the intensity/pressure more but I thought that they were already doing the lowest pressure because I had mentioned it in the form that I filled out. My masseuse engaged me in a few conversations during the massage. I was okay with it but I can see how that can hinder the overall experience for folks who enjoy their massage in a more quiet and peaceful setting. There wasn't any communication barrier so I was able to ask my masseuse to lower the intensity for the oil massage which was great. Their massage tables are heated but you can ask them to turn it off if it gets too hot. Unlike other massage places, this spa didn't have water or tea after the massage was over (or at least I didn't see/get any) but that's fine. Overall it was a good experience.

I originally came to Eastern Medical Center for acupuncture after breaking my leg. I had lingering…read morepain and limited movement, and the relief was almost immediate. Since then, unfortunately, I've also broken my arm and my hand at different times, and every single time the treatment produced exponentially better results than I expected. There have been periods where the wear and tear on my hands and arms from playing guitar, editing productions, and working long hours in my studio left me feeling genuinely worried that my arm only had a few usable years left. I went from debilitating pain and stiffness to completely forgetting that was even a period of my life. I now go weekly, especially since I play hockey twice a week, and the difference in my mobility, pain levels, and overall body comfort has been huge. I move better, recover faster, and just feel more normal in my body again. I can't recommend Eastern Medical Center enough, especially Teresa Shen. She has a deep, passionate history with the practice and has done an incredible job modernizing the process while staying rooted in real, effective care. She's thoughtful, attentive, and clearly invested in long term results, not just short term fixes. I'd rate this place 6 out of 5 if I could.

Teresa at Eastern Medical Center proved me wrong. My experience with her was nothing short of transformative; it wasn't just a treatment, it was a complete reset. Teresa possesses a rare gift for healing that balances profound technical knowledge with true, instinctual intuition. She didn't just place needles; she seemed to listen to what my body needed and found the root of issues I've been dealing with for years. She is hands-down the most intuitive provider I have ever met. Beyond the treatment, the vibe at this clinic is amazing--it is a sanctuary of healing. The hospitality is top-tier, starting with the receptionist/office host who is incredibly kind, organized, and welcoming. They make you feel like family the moment you walk through the door. If you want a sterile, clinical experience, look elsewhere. But if you want a warm, welcoming environment and a practitioner who can truly transform your health, make an appointment with Teresa immediately. 10/10 recommended.

I decided to make a same-day appointment for a deep tissue massage on a Monday and it was easy to make an appointment online. One thing that I appreciated was that the person at the front desk called me ahead of my appointment and asked what kind of pressure I liked as it was my first time visiting. She said she wanted to ensure that I was matched with a staff member who would best fit my preferences to ensure I had a good experience. I don't think I've had that done before the actual appointment at any other place so that was thoughtful. They even offered to take me in earlier if I was available. Once I walked in, I could tell it would be relaxing as the environment was very quiet and peaceful. As soon as I was out in a room and ready for the massage, the staff made sure I was comfortable and asked if I had any areas I wanted them to focus on, to which I answered my lower back. I liked that they even checked in once they started applying more pressure to make sure it was okay. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience and as someone who sometimes tenses up during massages because it's too much, was able to a actually relax during my appointment and even dosed off a little. Even afterwards, my body feels great and the lower back pain has definitely improved! Overall, I would recommend coming here and would definitely come back to try their other packages.

I suggest arriving a little early to check in, fill out paperwork, and use the restroom. The massage rooms are separated by heavy black out curtains. I loved that they had a pregnancy pillow on top of their massage table; such a nice added touch to ensure optimal comfort. I loved my massage here and will be back for more!

Because of his quick, expert eye, I got treatment in time, which completely stopped the shingles from spreading.
