After a number of frustrating broker experiences, we were about to give up our search. Diego charmed us with his friendly demeanor and his professional, no-nonsense approach. Diego negotiated with the landlord to allow our dog as well as for a new stove. When it was time to sign the lease, the landlord was not able to meet us. Diego helped mediate the transaction and then he hand-delivered the paperwork to our home address...not once, but twice! He met me today to drop off the keys, and everything was as promised. He even offered to help us move-in! I would definitely work with Diego again, and I highly recommend him to anyone who is tired of brokers who care more about their commissions than their clients.

Having heard only bad things about this industry I was pleasantly surprised by the down to earth, simple and honest service Diego provided to me during my search! 4 Star man! The apartment options he presented showed the full range in the competitive fast moving market, and I never felt under pressure (which I hear from others is fairly common) to sign. We mostly agreed on viewing feedback good and bad. in addition, he was great at negotiating down broker fees and the monthly rate on my final choice! While I ended up staying with my current apartment downtown (I was exploring option to move to save a bit of money). I would recommend Diego to folks looking to move into the area. Best of luck with your apartment hunt!

How this place is still open, I have no idea. I'm not even in the mood for any Yelp theatrics,…read morefriends. This shit is serious. And by that I mean seriously terrible. I made an appointment with Edward to see an apartment. Not only was he 20 minutes late, the apartment was apparently no longer available, BUT he had "a great place" to show me! Isn't it swell how life just works out like that???? DISCLAIMER: Having had subleased places most of my adult life, this was the first apartment hunt for me, and so I was very naive. Had I not been, I would have walked away without a doubt. Anyhow, we walked over to this other place and it turned out to not be too bad. Edward assured me he would negotiate the rent down by $100. Sounds too good to be true? Bear with me, it was. My wife and I submitted all required paperwork and were told that we were approved. Fantastic! We were going away for the weekend and were looking forward to coming back and signing the lease. However, it all started going downhill once we got back to town. The landlord kept asking us for more and more information, which was infuriating because WE HAD ALREADY BEEN APPROVED. DON'T TELL PEOPLE THAT THEY'RE APPROVED ONLY TO SNATCH THE APARTMENT AWAY. You might be thinking "why is this guy yelling about the landlord?" Well, it's only because Edward ignored my phonecalls, texts, and e-mails, only to eventually E-MAIL (not even text back, knowing the urgency of the situation) me back saying the place is not available. This was later translated into the landlord demanding 3 MONTHS SECURITY DEPOSIT upon moving in if we still wanted the place. REMINDER: we had submitted all necessary paperwork and were fully qualified for this apartment. TL;DR This place is a nightmare. Avoid it if you value your time and money and don't have enough of either to spare. Go to MYSpaceNYC. They have great no fee apartments, and despite the fact that the landlord pays their brokers' fees, THEY WORK FOR YOU. After this atrocity transpired we went to MySpaceNYC, found a beautiful apartment and literally signed the lease within 48 hours. Oh yeah. IT WAS CHEAPER BECAUSE OF NO FEE! SUCK ON THAT, RAPID!

Long story short, Jeffrey got me an apartment and he was great. He was friendly, communicative,…read morealways on time, and showed integrity, which is saying A LOT for an NYC broker, given that in general they have as much of a reputation for integrity as week-old tofu. Jeffrey rescued me from broker hell, I was seriously about to shoot someone. Then he showed me five or six different places in the space of an hour (yay car!). Even though I really liked the first one (which was the most expensive one) and probably would have just taken it if he didn't show me anything else, he took me to all the places he knew about. He even spent a good ten minutes negotiating with a management company to get me in to see one last place (which was the cheapest one -- i.e. less commission for him), which was the one I ended up taking. So, that's pretty danged cool in my book. If I'm gonna pay someone that much money to find me an apartment, this is how I expect to be treated. Givette was also great, who was the "processor" for my application. She also answered all my questions and even helped me change my lease signing date at the last minute when something came up. I would definitely recommend these folks to friends.

With no apartment and less than 10 days until move out, we both frantically emailed every listing on the usual apartment hunt channels. Martin, who was showing apartments for Blue Egg, went above and beyond to help us, driving my roommate around Brooklyn to look at several different spots in various neighborhoods. We eventually settled on a perfect apartment just within our price range and submitted our applications and a deposit that day. Although there were several holidays during our paperwork period, Elizabeth (the best!!!) was quick to reply even after business hours to let us know the status of our application. Elizabeth worked with the apartment owners to get our application approved. She really went way above and beyond what was required and I honestly can not type enough good things bout her. I was hesitant to work with Blue Egg because they have a few negative reviews, but after this experience and re-reading those carefully, it's clear that some people just do not understand how security deposits and applications are supposed to work. In the end, this was by far the most pleasant experience I've ever had with a broker. We really felt as though they had our back and their services bolstered the strength of our application. My roommate and I were SUPER happy with our services and just love our new apartment. Thanks so much Blue Egg!

We would like to thank you by providing our testimonial based on our experiences working with you and hope that other buyers will connect with you, as we did. It was during the pandemic that we started to look for our buyer agent. We listed up several candidates using Yelp and other platforms. We had done interviews with all of them, and we decided to work with Patrick because we felt comfortable talking with him during the interview. His knowledge of the business and his testimonials were standing out from all the others. When we started to visit homes with Patrick. he always arranged appointments for us to visit the new listings as soon as they came to market, he responds quickly to our requests  - you will know that he is a responsible hard-working professional when you see his emails responded at 2:00am and late-night conversations. As everyone says - he never pushed us to make a decision moving forward. Instead, he pointed out noticeable issues he found with each home. It was well assuring to know Patrick wanted to educate us on the home buying process and he never once tried to up-sell us on any home we previewed. It took several months for us to find that perfect home. Patrick always asked us for our feedback so he can be clear on what we are looking for. He just waited for us to comfortably make our decision to moving forward. Patrick mentioned we will know when the right house feels like home. He was right! When our dream home came on the market, Patrick's strategy came into play. He set the appointment to get us in the next morning.  We were in a very good position being the first ones in the door. Patrick's personality easily established a relationship with the listing agent and right before our eyes they both hit it off. It was magical! My family and I loved this home the moment we walked in the door. Patrick advised us to submit the right offer knowing other offers will soon follow, and they did. This was critical especially if you know how the market was competitive at the time with very low inventory. As a result, the seller chose our offer we were able to get into the attorney review phase quickly, even with several other competitive offers the seller received. During the contract phase, we were helped with Patrick's advice and referrals for all the professionals and service providers needed to close the deal. I shopped for the service providers by myself, but literally, ended up using all that Patrick had suggested. On the closing day, Patrick, my wife, and I went for the walkthrough and we took a picture together in the front of the house - it was our happy moment! As first-time homebuyers, our experience went extremely smooth and easy. We had a very reliable agent that guided us through the process from the home searching until the closing, and we carefully listened to all of his advice and suggestions. We are so happy that we were able to buy a home that we truly love, even in an extremely difficult market situation, and sincerely believe without Patrick this would not be achieved. Our experience with Patrick Baratta proved that the testimonials we saw online were true, or in our case, it was even more. Thank you so much Patrick!, You Are The Best! Yuichiro and Family

We were able to lock in a very competitive rate on our mortgage. Patrick advised us on everything to look for during the home inspection process and has a series of individual inspectors that were beneficial to us. When several issues were discovered during the home inspection and the appraisal process, Patrick was instrumental in getting us estimates and a seller's credit at closing to cover the repairs. This ended up being a GREAT decision. George is very professional and courteous, and he genuinely wants to get you the best apartment and rental rate he possibly can. The first apartment he showed me met my specifications exactly (and he provided round-trip transportation from his office), and as soon as I knew I wanted it he immediately set things in motion. Later that day I was approved and I signed the lease the next morning. The entire process felt very smooth and fast. The NYC rental market is a tough beast to navigate, and George was more than willing to answer all my questions about rent, fees, upkeep, tenants' rights, early lease breaking, and any other minor concerns I had as a first-time renter. I walked away not only with a great apartment, but a much better understanding of how the market works. But it doesn't end there. When it came time to renew my lease, my landlord raised the rent by quite a bit. After informing George of this, he helped me negotiate the new rate down to a much more reasonable number! I can't recommend George enough. He's on your side through the entire process and he works very hard to make sure you have everything you need.

Now, he's helped us find an even bigger and better space since we're ready to expand.
