Myself; I am newer to the area, but enjoy getting to know the people and build my community involvement. The older, beautiful stone building is very close to downtown LaGrange and has some wonderful traditions (the Christmas tree out front every year is my favorite). I consider myself very fortunate to serve the families of the community that chose Heady-Radcliffe to honor their loved one or themselves.

I should mention that my father passed away on Thanksgiving around 4:00AM, and Grant and Tony were at the house probably 30 minutes after receiving the call, despite the holiday and early hour. Working within the industry, I was impressed with the standard of care Johnson's provided to my dad, and all of the little, extra things they did to show their compassion, to make our time of grief easier, and how they aided in my fathers funeral mass and celebration of life to make it a memorable, healing event. Grant was an exemplary professional, always checking with the family and working with us to ensure that everything was okay, explaining all of our options, guiding us through the process, and making sure everything was to our preference. Their prices were extremely reasonable too for the standard of care provided. I cannot thank Johnson's enough for all they did for us during our time of grief and need, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services.

I lost a very good friend recently and his family chose Newcomer to handle the services. I was very…read moreimpressed as they did an exceptional job. The visitation was held in a very nice size room and there were plenty of chairs and places to sit for everyone. The flowers were tastefully placed in various parts around the room. They appeared to go out of their way to do anything to assist the family. The church service as well as the grave side service was as nice as any one I've attended and seemed to go off without a hitch. There was a flag ceremony and the flag given to his wife. I noticed later, when we returned to the church hall, that Newcomer even gave her the wooden flag case. A very nice touch. I would highly recommend Newcomer to anyone.

My mother passed away Early Saturday morning after a long hospitalization. The sad job of planning…read morethe funeral was done a week earlier when the doctors advised she would pass soon. I contacted Newcomer who we had contracted to do my fathers funeral 9 years ago. They did an amazing job for my fathers and we knew they would do the same this time for my mother. I asked for the exact same thing that we did for my father, they pulled the sheet from 9 years ago and followed it to a T. Now here is the amazing part that I did not anticipate, the difference in price from 9 years ago to the present was three hundred dollars, not thousand but hundred. I was shocked. This post is not meant to paint me in the light of some tight wad person who only cared about price, what I am trying to say is this place has a formula and it works. There is nothing cheap about how they handle their clients, the total was about six thousand eight hundred, but you would have thought we paid 20,000 thousand for the service they provided. My father looked so natural, it was amazing. Now my mother is in their hands and we are receiving the same quality service we received in the past. I will always recommend this place because of their professionalism and I can attest to the value you will receive compared to what other homes quoted me. Do not feel that you cannot afford a quality dignified funeral, this place can help.

The staff is very respectful and forms personal relationships with the grieving family members. They do a great job putting the services and burials together. The funeral home always provides the grieving families with food for the receptions and flowers for the ceremony as a personal way of sending the family their condolences. Most of the funerals in my family (and among friends) have been held here, and we couldn't have asked for anything or anyone better.
