I felt compelled to write this review considering the scathing tongue lashing Kyra S. left for Morgan and Nay. I've lived in Madison all my life. This company has set a high standard of care for grieving families and communities. I couldn't begin to count how many services I've had to attend at this facility, but they have all been 1st rate occasions and I have never heard of a family trounce their name over a major issue. I realize that no place is above having a bad situation happen. We are all human and mistakes do happen, but Morgan & Nay has a great reputation in Madison for a reason and one bad occurrence should not tarnish decades of phenomenal service to our community. read more

My mom died in 2012 and the people here were nice enough and on the surface and seemed to care. On their website it says they won, " The National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) in August 2014 honored Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre with one of its most prestigious awards, Pursuit of Excellence - 2014" well I am here to tell you it is a fat joke!!! We needed my mom cremated for travel to California where she would rest with my dad. We all got mini urns for personal use. 10+ of them if i recall. Each of them rattles like a babies toy and they are not sealed, my brother found it easy to open his, we do not want the grand children opening their urns to play with grandma. I bet you would think that was all, NO that is not the end of the nightmare! They sent her ashes by USPS and the label was not properly put on, so you can guess what happened. HER ASHES TO THIS DAY STILL ARE LOST IN THE MAIL DUE TO MIS-HANDLING OF MAILING BY THIS FARCE OF A COMPANY!!! What did they do to fix this issue, not much at all!!! They said we need to contact the USPS and try their avenues. THAT WAS THEIR JOB!!!! So now due to washing their hands of the situation, we now have tried to find her ashes, it is a lost cause because the label was not properly affixed to the package, wow, not even tracking on the package, really, how unprofessional. It is not like I can reorder and new set of ashes!!!! Do not use this company if you know what is best for your loved one and the ones left behind. I have been to many services there & they go above & beyond for their customers. Always have a nice area for families to get a drink & a snack. They went above & beyond when my dad died & even got a "Buick" coach for his last ride since my dad was a "Buick Man". Rodney even stopped by my moms house the evening of the funeral to check on her since she is elderly. They even had a service in December for all the families they had done funerals for that year which was very touching during a hard time anyway. Each family was recognized & given a ornament for their home. My ornament got broke & they got me a new one & would not even let me pay for it. I would not go any where else with my loved ones!!! They have donated American flags for our Cub Scout & Boy Scout group to place on Veterans graves for Veterans Day. They are a big supporter of Wreaths Across America for our Veterans Cemetery my hats off to them for a job well done. Thank You Rodney & Staff for the great services you provide!!! read more
