Stopped in here while in town for an event. The folks in here were really welcoming and also didn't…read moremind if we used their restroom while waiting in line for our event to start. While in the shop I learned a thing or two about Switzerland county and also about Fred the Goat! Fred the goat can be found in concrete all over town. Fred has also been taken home to many other states to live. Fred was a goat that lived in Vevay but kept escaping and people would find him. Fred's caretaker finally was tired of chasing him down and gave him to a local farmer but Fred had other plans and escaped from that farmer as well, over and over. Finally the farmer just let him have his way and Fred chose to stay in an abandoned farmhouse and he would still make trips to town. Fred lived a good long life, 16 years, and passed away in 2015 but his legend lives on. In this little shop you can purchase t-shirts depicting Fred or just displaying Vevay for $5 and sweatshirts for $10. There are also many brochures about the area to take home. Stop in this corner shop next time you are in Vevay, Indiana.
