I attended four classes when I was home for the holidays and I found them equally as challenging as those of other studios. I only have two complaints: Parking is a bit rough; the studio is at the end of a pretty crowded plaza. The workout stations are really tight; there's not much room on the floor to spread out. Something nice: The staff had a sign that welcomed new members and members from other studios! This was so sweet. It's never happened to me at Orangetheory West Hartford or other locations that I was only briefly visiting.

She was fully registered in the system, and her name was even written on the welcome board. She arrived before me, told the front desk she was there for the class, and said she needed to use the restroom. Instead of welcoming her, they turned her away and sent her back outside. When I arrived, she was visibly upset and confused. Only when I walked in with her did the staff say, "Oh, we didn't know she was here for a class -- we thought she just walked in off the street." Another employee even said, "Well, she did say she was here for a class." The front desk laughed nervously. The implication behind their reaction was hard to miss, and it was unacceptable -- especially given that her information was in the system and she followed the proper check-in process. On top of that, when I later tried to cancel my membership, I was told I had to come into the studio in person. I've belonged to multiple OTF locations in CT and other states, and this is absolutely not standard. It felt like a deliberate barrier designed to benefit the studio at the customer's expense. Overall, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this location; there are plenty of other studios where both members and prospective members are treated with basic respect, professionalism, and fairness.
