Never Again: Why I'm Done With Ford…read more Never again will I drive a vehicle that needs to be Fixed Or Repaired Daily. I've owned three Ford vehicles. My first was a 2008 Expedition, purchased through military sales while stationed in Korea--zero issues. It gave me confidence in the brand. But everything went downhill from there. My second Ford was a 2015 F-150 Platinum. While driving on cruise control back to Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, the truck suddenly slammed on the brakes--as if something were in the road. There wasn't. It scared the hell out of me. When I took it to a Ford dealer in San Antonio, I was told that the recall for this issue had "already been completed," and they refused to fix it. I traded that truck in as-is for a Chevy and moved on. Unfortunately, my next mistake was buying a used 2017 F-150 Limited from Patriot Auto Group in Chandler, Oklahoma. Let me be clear: do not buy a used vehicle from them. Either they knowingly sold me a flood-damaged vehicle, or they were too careless to realize what they had. I thought I was getting a good deal. I was wrong. The truck's driver-side running board wouldn't function properly--it took eight weeks and a call to one of the owners just to get aftermarket replacements installed. Then the real nightmare began. While driving, all the electronic systems--warning lights, headlights, turn signals, radio--would flash erratically. The horn quit working. The engine would randomly shut off while I was on the road. All I could do was coast to a stop and pray it was somewhere safe. I took the truck to Bill Knight Ford. They charged me over $4,000 to fix it. They claimed some kind of leak had caused electrical damage. After two and a half weeks, the exact same issue returned. When I brought it back, I was told it would cost another $11,000 to fix it. When I questioned how I'd already paid them to fix this exact problem, they said they'd "discount the $11,000 by what I'd already paid." That's not a discount--that's charging twice for one repair. I contacted Progressive to file a claim. They told me the truck wasn't covered because I bought my policy in Texas and the repairs were in Oklahoma. They also casually mentioned that the windshield had been replaced--a clue that there was prior damage not disclosed to me. I still have the truck, and I fully intend to sell it as is, just like I did with the 2015 Platinum. And if someone ends up getting injured due to this vehicle's faults, I'll sleep just fine. I have documentation showing I tried to fix it and that Ford failed me at every turn. Bottom line: Ford, your trucks aren't just unreliable--they're dangerous. You lost a loyal customer. And to Patriot Auto and Bill Knight Ford: shame on you for your dishonesty and failure to stand behind your work. This F-150 may be Found On Road Dead, but this time, it won't be my problem.

Hudiburg Ford - Explorer when I picked up @ the dealership

I had been working with this dealership for nearly a week on a Mach-E they had in stock. I was…read morehonestly surprised to see an EV available at a rural dealership. In my past experience shopping for EVs, many salespeople don't seem particularly motivated to sell them, and follow-up can be minimal. I've also found that buyers often know more about the vehicle than the salesperson. One salesperson at a different dealership even told me they receive very little EV training. Unfortunately, that pattern continued here. I had originally messaged to come do a test drive and stated I would not be purchasing the vehicle that day. John G, for some reason was under the impression that I was purchasing that day. I explained to him that I needed to do more research on this vehicle before I would consider purchasing it. Trying to get information from John G felt like pulling teeth. The only times it felt he was quick to respond was when it came to money. I requested detailed information about the vehicle that wasn't listed online. The only documentation I received was a service sheet from 12/25 when the dealership inspected the car for general issues. There was no information about the battery, which is a major component of any EV. After receiving the out the door price, I counted. John replied, "We do not negotiate on internet pricing." The vehicle was already well below market value so I knew it would be tough to get the price lower. A few days later I noticed the price dropped on the website so I asked for update numbers and John G provided those. I told John I would be there Thursday morning to purchase the car. I asked if I could leave a deposit to hold it--again, no response. While reviewing the original Arizona listing, I noticed the car already had tinted windows and floor mats. However, the pricing sheet I received included an additional $549 for those items. I messaged John to ask that those charges be removed since the dealership had not added them. I did not receive a response. In hindsight, I probably should have walked away due to the lack of communication. The night before pickup, I called to confirm the car was still available, as I live about 45 minutes away. I was told it was on the lot. I messaged John to confirm I'd be there at 8 a.m. Thursday. I do take responsibility for leaving my house late. At approximately 8:10 a.m., John called to say someone else was there to buy the car. I told him I was about 10 minutes away. When I arrived, the car was gone. John explained that when I called the night before, the salesperson I spoke with contacted another interested buyer to let them know someone else was coming in the morning. Because I arrived 29 minutes after opening, I missed out on the vehicle. When I asked why my deposit request was never answered, I was told they no longer take deposits due to past issues with buyers backing out. What was disappointing was the lack of communication throughout the process and the fact that I had clearly stated my intent to purchase. I understand how sales works--I was in the field for years. I know things happen, and sometimes deals fall through. It's just frustrating when communication is limited and expectations aren't clearly managed. My advice to anyone considering doing business here: do your research, ask direct questions, and if you're serious about a vehicle, show up in person as soon as possible. If you feel that you're saleperson isn't working with you, go elsewhere.

Buyer beware. The deal was smooth. The staff was kind…read more However, this dealership will put charges in your deal then not deliver the product that was the reason for the charge. Ford Pro Pack is what they called it. Bill, one of the managers, told me that it was for floor mats, window tint and other things none of which they did. The F-250 King Ranch comes with floor mats, the windows were factory smoke glass in the back and no tint on any other windows. When I questioned the charge and requested a refund I was told all the good things they did for me in the deal and they would not be refunding the money. At the end of the day, it is theft!!! You charge for something then do not deliver, that is theft. Hudiburg Ford in Wellston, OK will lie and cheat you out of money. Find another dealership to buy from.
