They advertised this program as a program that helps you land the job you want, however it just turned out to be another generic job-readiness program that just puts you in whatever job they have available rather than what career you want and what your background is actually is. With the high-energy entrepreneurial people running the program, you would think they would have stronger career advice to give and be able to help you with a more individualized approach, but unfortunately they do not. The training class was pretty fun and engaging for the most part, and the teacher Cedric was a great speaker. However, what I had an issue with was how a huge percentage of the class was spent training us on warehouse safety and how to use a forklift. I'm sure that's great for people who actually want to work in a warehouse, but for everyone else it's a waste of time (so my recommendation is for them to hold the forklift training during a different time for the people who want it). I know for a fact that I'm never in a million years going to work a blue-collar job. I found it a bit insulting, because they get a lot of people signed up for the program from homeless shelters, rehab clinics, and those previously incarcerated, so it came across like they were talking down to us and assuming warehouse work is the only thing we would be qualified for or willing to do. And from my experience, warehouse jobs are pretty in-demand and they hire pretty much anyone desperate for a job. My feedback for this program would be to stick to their word about helping us land in the career we like, and do a better job meeting everyone where they're at in their career.

My recruiter has been very good overall, stays in touch, and no complaints about her…read more I found my current contract through Aerotek, the Westminster, CO office, and it led to a second contract with the same company. I also went through them for another contract to hire position several years ago, but I was referred there by the company I was working for, and Aerotek acted as intermediary in the contract to hire process. So in that case Aerotek wasn't my choice, it was the company's choice. They pay the agreed rate, and it has been on time like clockwork via direct deposit. I don't give them a higher rating though, because I think they generally aren't proactive at all about finding new contracts or direct hires. It seems like once you have a contract, they aren't looking ahead to the next placement. I also would like to see them negotiate paid holidays as a standard procedure - I understand that depends on the client company, but it is a downside if the company closes for a holiday and to get a regular paycheck you have to make up a lot of hours (if the company allows you to make up hours). So for a contractor there's never a "holiday", it's just a pain. That's a general criticism of contract agencies, not just Aerotek. I do agree with other reviewers about the long in-office interviews and I would add that there's a huge stack of redundant onboarding paperwork - OMG, it's like buying a freakin' house!

Aimhire found me a temporary position, which I accepted, with the understanding that the position was nearby and would last approximately 3 months or more. Not only was the position an hour away, but it only lasted 6 days. When I discussed the issue with the recruiter she didn't seem to care, she just responded saying that now I had something to put on my resume. How do you put a job where you spent 6 days on a resume??? Additionally, I had to significantly cut back on hours at my other job to take this opportunity. I was not able to get all of my shifts back after my temp job was over. Through this process Aimhire cost me both time and money; I would never recommend this agency to anyone. My word of advice to anyone who uses this company, be careful and have a backup plan! Aimhire will do what it takes to staff a position but at the cost of its employees.
