Agency itself loses its staff, & maybe you get a message that the agent's email is no longer valid there. Maybe not. Lack of inner agency communication. Emailed me to fax documents proving education creds, etc, & then argued that no such request was made. DID get me a temp job; confusion about start date. A coworker showed up @ site only to be told that the start was pushed back a week. I got asked how I liked my first week of work (regional office) as if the work had started original date scheduled. Uses third party timesheet (dis)service, dotStaff, but forgot to sign me up for almost one (1) month. I was mailed one (1) check w/home address handwritten on envelope after my first week but none afterwards. Randstad corporate stated that they didn't have my street address (?!). When I WAS able to enter timesheet(s), I had numerous "denied" w/no explanation or instructions about how to get paid. Erratic access to dotStaff during entire four (4) month assignment. Randstad left phone message that "assignment has ended" w/specific instruction "do NOT return to workplace." I sent a "thank you" email to Randstad (local & corporate) & then reopened remaining benefits from pre Randstad job. Randstad told ODJFS that I "had walked off the job" & that "I hadn't informed them that I was available for work," so the ODJFS halted remaining unemployment benefits from my previous claim til I told them about my emails to Randstad as proof that I had, indeed, been in touch. @ least Randstad got me a temporary job, which is more than I can say about other employment agencies. I guess I should be glad that I got any paychecks @ all. Oh, & Randstad deducted the incorrect CITY taxes from my paychecks! read more
