My situation: I had a pair of pants that I adored that had holes in the crotch that were growing every time my bike saddle got stuck in there. I also had an old not-so-great-fitting-but-structurally-intact pair of pants. So I brought both pairs in, asked to get my 2nd pair tailored to the specifications of the first pair and for the first pair to be patched up. The cost: Tailoring: $25 Patching x 2: $15 The work was done in 2 days and the work was done amazingly well. Highly recommended.

The lady was very nice and friendly. She does get confused what is a blazer and a jacket. Maybe jacket and blazer same price. So the dry cleaning is done elsewhere and not in the store. So I dropped off on Thursday and was ready for pickup on Monday. Good location. Very convenient. Just steps away from Steven Ave.

The ladies at the counter are fantastic. A washing machine has been out of order for a couple of years. The washing spin cycle doesn't go on long enough. I could ring water out of my clothes. Just means you spend more on drying. If you can, take your drying home to dry. It will save you lots of money. Even after all this, this is the only game in town for a fairly clean, central place to wash your clothes.

After picking them up and unpacking them, I immediately noticed there were large, deep stains across the top lining of all four curtain panels -- stains that were not there when I brought them in. I showed the photos to the staff, and was told, "Oh, we thought you knew those were there." They never called to alert me, nor did they mention anything when I picked them up. That response alone tells me they knew damage had occurred and hoped I wouldn't notice. The stains are now permanent. They refunded nothing, offered no solution, and were dismissive when I expressed concern. If you're bringing anything of value to this business, be aware that they do not take responsibility for damage and appear to lack transparency with customers. I'm deeply disappointed and sharing this to prevent others from experiencing the same.

There was no visible price list so I had to ask. This was not convenient because the place turned out to be pricey depending on the item ($7+ for pants?). What am I supposed to do? I don't want to just drop things off and be stuck with a huge bill, nor do I want to stay there and ask prices for all the items I might possibly want to bring. Now, if I were to overcome the inconvenience of asking prices for 10-15 different items, how am I supposed to remember that? Write it all out on a piece of paper? That's too much. They might do a great job once you figure out the system, but I have no desire to do that. If the business doesn't care about making it convenient for the customer, why should I bother? There are other companies that will do a better job.

However, the washing machine in my building isn't big enough to wash a whole comforter, so I was forced to take it to a Laundromat. They've got big washers, which is nice for a large load. Even if I wasn't washing my quilt I could probably fit a lot of dirty clothes in that thing. Royal Laundry has a somewhat 70's style feel to it. They've got green and orange chairs that aren't very comfy but are super cute! It's not a terrible place to spend some time while waiting for a couple of loads to finish up. It's big, they've got a lot of machines, and you can stuff a whole lot of clothes in each load.
