I am someone who is almost never late, but I drove 45 minutes to this appointment, then…read moreunexpectedly had to spend 15 minutes parking (because the parking situation is awful), which made me 10 minutes late. I called from my car, intending to explain that I was there but having trouble parking, but no one answered their phone. When I walked in, I immediately apologized, explaining that parking had taken a lot longer than I'd anticipated, but Dr. Hartzell told me that new patient exams take an hour and so she didn't know if she could see me. (Note that she says in response to another review here that she allows a 10-minute grace period for all appointments, and I had walked in exactly 10 minutes late.) I said OK and left, and she followed me out in the hall and said she wasn't saying she wouldn't see me, but it would mean that the appointments after me would start late too. OK, well, what am I supposed to say to that? Either see me or don't see me, but don't chastise me and expect me to feel good about staying at that point. So at that point I just continued to leave, because I didn't want to see a doctor who started off a relationship that way. Medical care is a very personal thing, and I don't think most people would feel comfortable putting themselves in a vulnerable situation with a doctor who takes that manner with people. If you read other reviews here, you'll see people with similar complaints about her manner. If nothing else, they should warn people when they make appointments that they will need to allow 15 minutes for parking; generally people won't expect it would take that long. Edited to add: See the doctor's response to my review, which is absurd -- "It is always a good idea to plan time for parking and walking from your vehicle to the medical building" is incredibly condescending. Obviously responsible adults plan for parking and getting to the building! But people don't assume they'll need 15+ minutes for parking unless they're warned about that in advance (which this office doesn't do -- and why don't they, when multiple people have suggested it?). I agree with other reviewers who found her rude and condescending. Strongly recommend avoiding.

Whomever answered your phones this morning was extremely rude!!! If you're a Dr. Office then I'm sure someone is tending to your phones.

The rooms are clean, equipment well maintained. Dr. Na's beside manner is excellent. She takes the time to listen to your concerns, maintains a level of curiosity to narrow down your issue, and is clear with her instructions. She knows what she's talking about, and the confidence she portrays makes you feel so much at ease. These are your eyes, after all. As a physician, patients often ask me for recommendations of where I would go or where I would send my family. For both those questions, it's Nova Advanced Eyecare with Dr Na. Side note: the main door to her building is NOT under the large sign on the side of the building, but rather on the left side lot when facing the sign from the street.

The office is modern and lovely and the receptionist is always happy to help, which is often not the case in my experience. Highly recommend. Thank you, Dr Na for improving my dry eye symptoms and the appearance of dark spots on my face.

I made my first appointment on an emergency basis, and Dressler Ophthalmology was the only office…read morethat could schedule my appointment within a few days. They are a busy office, and the receptionist staff are super busy, but everyone was polite and checked me in as quickly as possible. I did have to wait about 20 minutes, but I was an emergency appointment, which they created to accommodate my eye infection. Fast forward two months: I have been to their office about 4-5 times, addressing my dry eye issue which Dr. Fredericks diagnosed when no one else has in recent years has mentioned this to me (I am not young and have been dealing with this for a couple of years), and she has worked so hard to address my issues, with success. I have worn contacts for almost 40 years...yikes...and honestly, the effort that Dr. Fredericks and her staff have put in to finding a contact that fit, and addressed both my near-sighted and far-sighted vision, and worked for my busy lifestyle, is amazing. She tried out about 6 different lenses on me, patiently going through my feedback, eye vision tests, loss of a contact (and free replacement) until she found the perfit fit (no pun intended). I have seen so many ophthalmologists/optometrist over the years, and no one else has made half of the effort to find the best contact option for me and my vision. Dr. Frederick also diagnosed a nerve issue in my eyes, which she is monitoring. Undetected, this can be an indicator of glaucoma. Yes, you may have to wait, and yes, the reception staff is busy. That's life. Highly recommend!
