He knows well how to communicate a difficult message. He is patient and never has given me a feeling of being rushed despite his busy schedule. Guess what! he doesn't make you wait. Most doctors I have seen in recent times tend to give a good vibe but the time you spend getting to eventually see them and the time right after the visit, isn't a pleasant. My experience with Dr. Barazi's has been simply outstanding.

His website shows he does both internal approach, an incision made behind the lower eyelid, and the external approach, an incision made outside the lower eyelid that allows the muscle of the lower eyelid to be tightened. At the time I made an appointment, I told his office staff I was looking for the best options between these surgeries. However, during 10-minute consultation, Dr Kevin Scott told me I was not a candidate for the internal approach, and I should go for the external approach, but he does not do external type of surgeries. I got a short recommendation on a piece of paper. That's it. So, if you need cosmetic plastic surgery for your eyes, think twice if Dr Kevis Scott is the right surgeon for you.

I did have to wait about 20 minutes, but I was an emergency appointment, which they created to accommodate my eye infection. Fast forward two months: I have been to their office about 4-5 times, addressing my dry eye issue which Dr. Fredericks diagnosed when no one else has in recent years has mentioned this to me (I am not young and have been dealing with this for a couple of years), and she has worked so hard to address my issues, with success. I have worn contacts for almost 40 years...yikes...and honestly, the effort that Dr. Fredericks and her staff have put in to finding a contact that fit, and addressed both my near-sighted and far-sighted vision, and worked for my busy lifestyle, is amazing. She tried out about 6 different lenses on me, patiently going through my feedback, eye vision tests, loss of a contact (and free replacement) until she found the perfit fit (no pun intended). I have seen so many ophthalmologists/optometrist over the years, and no one else has made half of the effort to find the best contact option for me and my vision. Dr. Frederick also diagnosed a nerve issue in my eyes, which she is monitoring. Undetected, this can be an indicator of glaucoma. Yes, you may have to wait, and yes, the reception staff is busy. IF THIS DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU, WE CANNOT ESTABLISH A WORKING PATIENT DOCTOR RELATIONSHIP". Immediately I asked myself this is the guy who pretends to be a caring doctor in his videos? He asked me the questions and I gave him the responses he's looking for, and he makes it appear as if there was some kind of problem with the patient. Further-more he decides it's worth his time to insult me by saying my condition floaters is a mere example of patients with OCD. That's quite an insult since much of his business is driven by his youtube videos, and to say his patients with floaters are a bunch of OCDs shows little empathy for their condition. Randall Wong is not who he tries to make himself appear to be in his videos, he is not compassionate towards his patients and doesn't deserve your time. What I saw was a man in need of taking an anger management course, I would never have this guy operating on my eyes given the kind of intimidating demeanor and disrepect he showed towards me, my father, and his own staff. What a huge let down to travel from halfway across the country to find out he isn't who he advertises himself to be.

Dr. Wong has a most pleasant bed-side manner. When visiting him for an appointment, I feel like I'm visiting an old friend. He clearly cares about his patients on a professional and personal level. He examined my eye with the cloudy spot and gave me some homework to better deduce the true cause of the problem. After 3 more months of studying if my cloudy spot was stationary or mobile, he suggested a vitrectomy. He made the risks clear to me and, he made it clear that, as an elective surgery, it was my choice as to whether or not to proceed. I felt comfortable that I was well-guided and decided to proceed with the surgery. The surgery went smoothly and was virtually painless. His follow up appointments were quick and efficient, yet I felt like he was taking the time needed to ensure I was healing as expected. To sum it up, I feel that my eye health and vision is in good hands with Dr. Wong, and he makes the experience as pleasant as eye surgery could be.

On our first visit, Farida walked her through the procedure and answered all her questions. She was upfront about cost and even checked our insurance to determine what our final cost would be. We met Dr Nasrullah during our initial visit. He was very nice and took his time answering our questions. He explained the procedure and what would happen afterwards. We were glad we got to meet him that day because we felt much better about the procedure and decided to move forward. On the day of the procedure, we met Dr Nasrullah at the Reston Surgical Center. He reviewed the process and procedure again and answered our questions. They collected payment the day of the procedure. Cash or Credit Cards only- no checks accepted. The process was as quick as Dr Nasrullah described. The process itself took about 20 minutes, but with the preparation and post care we were at the center for about 2 hrs. Before the procedure, my aunt's vision was -6 due to the cataract. Now her vision is 20/20! Very happy with the results!
