This is my second time visiting Rancho Valhalla Nursery and it didn't disappoint. They had the plants I wanted & great prices. Everyone is always so helpful and friendly. I was happy with the plants I had purchased on my previous visit, so I wanted some more. If I remember correctly Jim helped me load everything in my car. He also taught me some things about plants that I didn't realize, so I was very grateful. Looking forward to getting my bushes planted. Will definitely be back & recommending this nursery to friends. read more

Such a great selection of beautiful healthy plants. Help is always available and friendly. Fair prices.

Rancho Valhalla Nursery is a tranquil oasis in East County San Diego that we love to walk through (you can take some epic photos there, get those selfies with gorgeous backgrounds in) and they always offer vibrant, healthy plants at affordable prices. Easy parking, and the nursery is very well organized, with plant groupings and plant information readily available. The staff is visible, very knowledgeable, and always eager to help, obviously taking pride in their jobs. Having purchased several seasons of vegetable starters, flowering plants, shrubs, succulents, and two trees, we can definitely say that every plant has thrived once planted at our home, and that's a hallmark of a super healthy nursery operation. We especially love the offerings of affordable pots (best color selection), fun landscape decor, and indoor plants... It's our go-to place to find perfect gifts! We buy from their wide offering of decor items as gifts (we gift ourselves too! People love the "Crazy Plant Lady" sign in our garden) and the recipients have always loved the gifts too! From plants, to employees, Rancho Valhalla Nursery is our favorite, valued partner in making our landscape more interesting and we are always proud to harvest from the vegetable plants we purchase from them, read more

I love Rancho Valhalla Nursery it's such a beautiful good energy vibe kind of place. It really is an oasis once you walk the grounds. I've had the opportunity to be able to create and coordinate the Arts & Crafts Market here for the past few years. I'm thankful for Karen and Ross for opening the doors to local artisans to showcase their work. The nursery crew have been so helpful in every way possible. We wanted to dress up our backyard this morning so we made our way to Rancho Valhalla Nursery. They had a much bigger selection than you would guess if you just drove by the property without going in. This nursery is actually quite large they were well-stocked with different varieties of trees, bushes and groundcover. All of the plants looked very healthy. More than one member of the staff made their way to us during our visit to ask if we had any questions, but it was a no pressure pleasant visit. We selected a beautiful king palm and planted it in the yard when we got home. read more

Went here for the first time this morning and am in love with this nursery! I was eager as they grow a lot of their own plants and I support small, local businesses whenever possible. The selections were wide and varied, and Chandler, the manager, was so helpful when I needed it. Love the interspersing of ponds and the giant oak shading the turtle pond. I can't wait to go back. read more

Really good customer service! The boys that work here are always willing to help. They even loaded the soil for me and it was so much cheaper than Dixie line or Home Depot. It's so nice to support local business and make sure you tip those high school /college kiddos for helping you. For reference/ we bought tomatoes, and green onions to pot. (Also there pot prices are awesome!!) read more

I absolutely love going to this nursery for events and the beautiful scenery! To the vast amount of choices of plants, the beautiful pond, and friendly staff, it's a wonderful place to visit. The 2nd Annual Spring Market was planned efficiently, well executed, fun for the whole family (even including a Easter egg hunt for the kids), and a wonderful day for vendors and shoppers alike. Great selection of succulents and ground covers, knowledgeable staff and very reasonable pricing!

Bought a pretty, Large round bowl with matching saucer for planting some succulents for our patio. Was a little messy after a heavy rainfall, but there was a decent selection of plants for January. Update: A new manager and the nursery has been well organized and tidied up. Both employees that were there, one being the manager have a lot of knowledge regarding plants and that's a huge deal for us. Good selection. read more

So I was looking for a nursery close to home and stumbled upon this one and let me tell you I would definitely recommend coming here!! Brandon was so helpful and knowledgeable of all plants, vegetables, succulents, trees, tropical plants etc.. He was bombarded with other customers while trying to help my friend and I, but he managed his time well and continued to help other customers while always coming back to us to help and give us his insight on what plants to get. I haven't had much experience with succulents, but he advised me on how to water and maintain the growth of my plants. 10 out 10 for customer service :) Now I have a beautiful basket with thriving succulents and I couldn't be more content!! read more

Daniel the succulent guru made my first solo trip to the nursery an amazing one. He let me bombard him with alllll the questions ( I'm a new plant mom ) as well as sent me home with a gardening list of how big my new gems get. The nursery itself is gorgeous. There's a little pond with shaded seating which I really enjoyed. I'll definitely be back. It's a one stop shop for all gardening needs. Thanks again Daniel! read more

I've been to so many nurseries in the county, and we have many great ones, but Rancho Valhalla is special. The gorgeous stream and pond, Incredibly fair prices, especially on trees, and an absolutely gorgeous and peaceful layout, and large selection are a big part of what makes this my favorite nursery in the county. But the main reason I keep coming back though is the super kind and knowledgeable staff and owners, who are always so happy and able to help.
