I want to thank Torin, Tyler & Brian for excellent service & advice. I contacted Moon Valley Nurseries to discuss adding some fruit trees on my property. I spoke with Torin, and he told me I could come in and look at some trees, he could send me some photos, or he offered an onsite design consultation. Since I was not sure how many trees I wanted exactly, the size or where I wanted them planted, I decided to go with an onsite consultation with Torin. He was able to give ma advice on the best locations on the property to plant the trees and suggested some verities I had not considered. I also wanted to make sure there would be no issue getting the trees down into the yard for all-in-one price they offer. I started talking to a landscape designer who wanted to see if he could get the job done for cheaper. He was not able to get the verities and sizes I wanted. In addition, we would have to hire someone to pick them up and plant them separately. Getting down to the planting location is not easy and I realized this would need to be done by professionals with a full crew. I decided the value of having Torin manage the project, and have it dome professionally was worth the price they quoted. I then went into the nursery, and I could see it's an exceptional nursery with hundreds if not thousands of trees. You can tell the trees are healthy and very well kept. Torin tagged some beautiful trees for me, and we set up the delivery and planting. Brian called me and kept me informed on when he would arrive. After looking at the different locations to plant the trees Brian gave me great advice and the location. It worked out perfect. There is a lot to be said about people who just don't do what you ask them to do but give you professional advice along the way. This really shows they want you to be happy with the service. They were incredibly mindful while digging as there are irrigation & sewer pipes the planted nearby. Armatures would have surely busted some pipes. Tyler followed up with me to make sure everything went smoothly, and I explained it did. He went over warranty, watering, and extended warranty service if I was interested. read more

Im a contractor and I hate to go around multiple places for my landscaping jobs. I used to visit when it was evergreen and when it switched to moon valley I was very hesitant because I heard their prices were high. I came in around February and meet with Tony giacalone. He took me around and saw higher prices but the quality of material was the nicest I've ever seen. the prices I thought were high actu weren't because they included professional planting with the material. I told him I'm a contractor and I can plant myself. Tony took great care of me, got me amazing wholesale deals. moon valley had everything I need and all in one place. For last 6+ months moon valley is the only place I go and I always work with Tony. He is just very positive and i always have a great time with him picking out material, I have even used him to throw back ideas and do designs, so I make sure my jobs look the best. I personally want to thank Tony G and the El Cajon moon valley location for everything they do. Tony called me to let me know about Black Friday sales and I'm glad he did because they're even better deals than before. We recently visited this Moon Valley location in search of two new mature trees for our property. We met and worked with Anthony who was super knowledgeable, very helpful and a totally nice person to deal with. We eventually purchased our trees with Anthony and the entire process was a breeze. He helped us select the exact trees we wanted and made the arrangements for delivery. The crew came out the morning of our delivery date and they were amazing to watch - they worked together in complete harmony, each one knew exactly what they needed to do and the collective effort was simply seamless. Anthony was here to watch the process with us as well which we thought was another example of excellent and personable customer service. Our crew consisted of a Foreman, Esteban and a crew made up by Jaime, Saul & Victor. Not sure we will be in the market again soon for mature trees, as our property is well established now, but we've been sharing our experience with neighbors and family as we know the importance of a great and solid referral. I am usually to the point, and I can say Tony went above and beyond helping us. My wife and I were debating on the placement and type of trees. Tony was very knowledgeable and helped us narrow it down to the right plants for our back yard. He even made a trip out to our house to confirm the placement. We also had to adjust our order before delivery date and Tony was vey helpful in these crazy times. He makes you feel like part of the family and not trying to up sell which I greatly appreciate. When it came to the actual delivery date, Tony came out to verify everything. That being said, Brian the foreman took care of us. We spent a couple of hours working with our sales person, Mike Boehm, driving around the grounds to find the perfect trees for our home. We ended up purchasing 5 trees and were very happy once they were delivered and planted for us! We ended up purchasing the Pro Care plan to protect our investment and give our trees the best "upbringing" for their health and future. Yesterday, we had our first appointment with the arborist, Jerrod Jerabek, and are so very pleased with the level of skill, professionalism and patience with my questions. Due to wind I lost a large tree in my backyard. Seeing the advertisements for Moon Valley Nurseries I made the decision to pay them a visit for a tree replacement. Upon visiting their Blossom Valley location I was impressed by the organization of plant life and the cleanliness of the grounds. I selected my new 'tree' and arranged for delivery and planting. At delivery I was extremely impressed with the crew and Brian as the crew chief. Hello I went to Moon Nurseries with some samples from my Red Tip Photinia. I was assisted by Jerrod Jerabek. He was very helpful in identifying the problem with my young hedge. It appeared to be suffering from a disease due to the damp area in which we live. He recommended fertilome fungicide spray. The application was simple enough. I was also recommended Moon Juice a fertilizer to help them bounce back from the damage caused by the disease. Tony spent a lot of time speaking with us about options, showing us trees on the lot, and making sure we got exactly what we wanted. He followed up with us to make sure everything made it home in good shape, and again several weeks later to see how the trees were doing after planting. The cauliflower and bean plants are doing great in my garden. I saw that the nursery had large trees in boxes that were marked down in price quite a bit. Daniel was able to do a walk through for us and provide more information as we were also unfamiliar with the specifics of the yard (we were moving from out of town). He must have shown us 20 different grass samples compared to the others who showed us 3 at most. Paul gave us locations in our area where he had worked so we could see his product. We decided to hire Out-Back because of Paul and his low pressure approach, honest answering of questions and the down to earth impression that we got of him. He wasn't out to sell us, he was out to help us decide on the best path for us. The crew began our back yard on a Wednesday morning. I did not meet the crew until that afternoon as I work early. Each one of the men came up to me and introduced themselves to me. They had obviously worked hard that entire day, but were polite and excited about the job at hand. These same guys continued the work on Thursday also. Each afternoon they cleaned up after themselves and left the area free of debris. On Friday afternoon I arrived to about 7 workers finishing our project and Paul working along with them. I was so very impressed at the amount of work they got done in such a small period of time. Even after a very long day of work, the crew was joking with each other and chatting. They obviously enjoy what they do and working together. The install is PERFECT! Even better than I had imagined. They did everything they said they would do and more. They blew off our entire property, even areas where they didn't do an work. They took all the debris and left the area clean and beautiful. After dealing with many different contractors over the last few years, Paul and his team are a breath of fresh air! Honest and quality! If you are considering adding artificial turf or other landscaping items, we would recommend Out-Back Turf hands down!!!
